  1. Awesome episodes lately. Keep them coming. Did one of you mention that you make battle report videos? Where could I find those? Thanks.
  2. Bit was made with the Guijia face, back of Oznat head, Oznat body with green stuff covering some of the torso, Oznat converted arms, PanO gun, one of the hold hacking holos. Kiss is just a Unidron with old Haqq spitfire on arm, green stuff cable attached to old Combined Army REM GML arm on his back. My paint job on them is disappointing and I might get help touching them up from a painting expert friend or two in the near future, so stay tuned for closeups.
  3. Devil Dogs: Their weapons, stats, and special skills are complimentary in simple ways and so they rarely go to waste. I even prefer them over Daturazi because of their 6-4 move and 2 Wounds (yes you're paying so much more for them than Daturazi). They're probably the unit I have the most fun using. I'm going to start fielding three of them in my US Ariadna lists. Locust: ODD + Infiltration in PanO is a huge pain for your opponent. Hac Tao Hackers: I am rarely concerned for their safety. They handle everything themselves. They have Nanopulsars and Swiss Guard don't. Kempetai with Chain of Command: Nice in a Fireteam because they have +2 BS over the Keisotsu, are specialists, and the CoC pairs well with the Domaru Lt. Chain Rifle. Col Voronin Lt.: Big target to make your opponent think about attacking him and a cheap way to get Strategos Level 1. Sogarat Lt.: A ton of bricks unit in Morat Aggression Force asking to use the Lt. Order every time.
  4. Right. You don't play the game very much but you do post a lot of complaints on the forums. You will be happier if you stop posting on the forum. I know I will be, which is 50% of the reason I'm writing this. It is time to pack up your username and move on. Social media can generate a negative experience for many reasons. You have to keep up with your attacks and make sure you defend yourself whenever you've been offended. So, you and I will both be happier if you stop posting. Do we have a deal?
  5. I listened to Ep. 26 The episode with no name... great podcast, as usual. The funny thing is you covered Morats v. generic Haqqislam and the same day I listened to the episode, I played Morats in Frontline with 12 point Spec Ops against @GentleSamurai, who played generic Haqqislam. This is not a particularly exciting or insightful report and the scenery was not great for the Haqq force, but I felt compelled to do a report because of the coincidence: Morat Aggression Force ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 110 1 DĀTURAZI Combi Rifle + Smoke Light Grenade Launcher / Pistol, Shock CCW. (0 | 28) 4.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army A big cross-shaped building divided the board in two halves. Everything that climbed onto that cross-shaped building died over the course of the game. There were towers/structures with cover on both corners of the Haqq side of the board. He placed a Ghulam FO (left side) and Djanbazan sniper (right side) in each tower. I won the roll and took first turn. He reduced my Order Pool by two. I lost my poorly placed Daturazi immediately to his Djanbazan. I ran my Plasma Q-Drone down the left side and killed the Hunzakut and a Mutttawi'ah. The Q-Drone died to a Ghulam in a tower his his turn. On my first turn I also used Kornak and the two Sogarat on the right side and killed the Al-Fasid, broke the fireteam and put them in suppression fire (yes, minus the Feuerbach). He ended up chewing up that fireteam as I pushed it up the board slowly, lots of move and shoot, Kornak breaking out and using Assault. Considering how much damage I did initially, he managed to eventually kill Kornak, the HMG Sogarat, which got back up with its automedkit, and reduced the Feuerbach Sogarat to one wound. The right side of the board was crowded with units and there wasn't enough scenery, which helped my Fireteam. I spent almost all of my turn two and three using the Fireteam, with the exception of moving my R-Drone once and having it die, and killing the Fiday using a linked Vanguard after a Rodok died attempting to do that. By the beginning of his third turn, he was in Retreat. He drew Experimental Drug and achieved it by getting his Djanbazan up. I drew Extreme Prejudice and achieved it by a Sogarat putting down the Al'Hawwa. I won something like 5-1 (we accidentally played the last turn without him in retreat, so we can't really tell how it would have played out). I guess what was notable about the game was that it was mainly about dealing with the Q-Drone on one side and the Fireteam on the other, with limited action involving a Rodok and Fiday dying in the middle of the board. Most of his orders involved reacting to the Kornak-Sogarat Haris. Since it was Frontline, I guess Haqq really had no choice but to engage the Fireteam. Some of the episode was about handling Morats using Haqqislam (my over-simplicity is probably really irritating, especially by Remote Presence podcast standards, because everything is obviously so circumstantial but bear with me) so I thought I'd mention: Khawarij, Taureg, Ghulam flash pulse, Al'Hawwa, Djanbazan, Muttaw'iah, Spec Ops slowly eroded the Fireteam in ARO and active turn. Ghulam flash pulse from the tower was very effective against the Sogarats (three successful stuns over the course of the game). Fiday killed the Rodok with an ARO, but was killed by a linked Vanguard afterward. Ghulam FO in the tower killed the Q-Drone in active turn using a Rifle. Djanbazan killed the R-Drone and Daturazi, both in ARO. Al'Hawwa in ARO Carbonited my super Spec Ops Hacker when I tried to Sucker Punch the Al'Hawwa, and my Spec Ops never got a chance to Reset. ----- As an aside, I really like the Hungries and Raicho sculpts. I guess I'm in the minority.
  6. @Pierzasty That game was made after Infinity. How is it a rip-off? Your reputation of high quality shit posts is in danger here. Also, to the first reply on this topic, I am surprised you'd have such a negative tone in absence of evidence. It's quite irrelevant, that post.
  7. This podcast continues to be so great. Excellent knowledge of and opinions on the game.
  8. Feel good. Need both ORCs because my other ORC is ancient too. Need both Zerats. Corvus Belli need less SKU. I have no problems doing trades, giving people models as favors or whatever if I have extras. Rarely end up with extras anyway. I convert stuff despite metal being a pain to convert. I've been collecting for 7 years and I have about 5 spare models. I think this is a pretty good general guideline. Kanluwen, you should be an activist shareholder, man! Whoooo hooooo!
  9. A cautionary tale. I shot everything that's painted in NeoTerra in my collection. I wanted to post this in particular because in my NeoTerra collection, there's such a broad range of painting skill (low ceiling) and technique, model scale and quality, and color scheme. I think the ORC, which has warpaint face, or Fusiliers were the first pieces I painted in the Infinity line in 2011. The Bolts and Devas were painted in 2017. I call this a cautionary tale because I'm not thrilled by the inconsistent scheme for the sectorial. It's not terrible, but it's noticeable due to all the factors I listed. It's less of a problem with, say, my Morats and JSA, because I have a consistent scheme, and with generic Yu Jing because I do not want a consistent scheme. I've considered touching up certain models, like the Hexa and Auxilia to make them fit, but I'm also waiting to have a paint day with skilled painters who will know where to touch up the figures I want to make more consistent. I ponder on whether it is fitting for PanO, though, for we all know their society is only ostensibly egalitarian, and that their moralizing is not consistent with their behavior.
  10. @Section 9 and anyone else who mentioned artificial gravity. Isn't the "creation" of actual gravity purely fantasy, opposed to an idea with any basis in science? I only ask because it seems like the rest of what is being discussed has more scientific basis.
  11. I'm not sure how accurate you want this to be but there's no hyphen for Lhost, it's absolutely Mayacast at the top of that list, and Total Reaktion is spelled with a k. I'm not trying to be picky, just... informative... or something.
  12. ARO Podcast is Tabletop Gamers United (that's what the podcast names are)
  13. I like to do what the huanglong did with the Domaru Lt.; you can use the Lt. with less caution than you normally would because you have the Kempetai Chain of Command. I'd include that option in a review of the Domaru. Consider playing Recon 2.0 missions. They're scenarios and rules made by Ash Barker with greater limitations and a 150 point rules cap. Have you read the stickied thread on JSA tactics? It's outdated in some respects because of rules changes but the core messages remain true. A good JSA list at 150 points, which can also be used for Recon 2.0: Domaru Chain Rifle Lt. Kempeitai CoC Boarding Shotgun Kempeitai Combi Rifle 2 Keisotsu Forward Observers 2 Keisotsu Keisotsu Missile Launcher Raiden HRL Tokusetsu Doctor It has enough specialists, 10 orders, multiple fireteams (use Command Tokens to switch Fireteams). Minelayer, which the Raiden has, helps protect your deployment. This list doesn't invest much in things that are potentially too circumstantial, like MSV for example. If you do come up against MSV, you haven't invested too much in Camo.
