  1. Gonna have to say Druze as thats the one I wanted to see most, especially female druze, as they wont give them to us!
  2. Cervantes my friend, you have been trolled. I didnt REALLY expect you to go find songs...although I think its great you did lol. And ya, wow, there are a bunch, and whats worse is I had many more in mind you didnt list. Ill give you the point that most genres contain questionable or downright bad content, and no, no age really has a perfect record, however across the board I dont think any other genre contains MORE of said negatives (and expletives) then rap. Its pretty much every other song. You may disagree (Im starting to think your one of those white guys who loves rap for some reason...?) but Im sticking to my arguments intent...none the less, Im not trying to derail this topic...just clarifying further. Oh and I would say that instrumental and classical, even most of jazz and a lot of dubb is clean, as its free of lyrics usually. A bit nit picky yes, but you said no genre, so Im just offering that up as counterpoint. But yes, your right, it exists pretty much everywhere. Now you have me curious what the positive limit is for a day...hmmmm....
  3. Cervantes I challenge you to find a country or pop song that has a topic of getting hoes and making money while simultaneously killing off your competition and threatening anyone left alive....ready....go! As I was saying...lol. When I said bad, I meant bad as in wrong/morally inept that kind of bad.
  4. The glitch mob was the only music of any of those interesting choices I had known of, actually many of you posted some unique and out there stuff, definitely can expand your musical horizons. Course just in general these things have shown interesting flares for all sorts of other things as well, been quite the eye opener. Some of the members you go "ah yeah, that makes sense" others you go "really?" pretty cool, turned out better than I hoped for.
  5. @vs - well you can always sign up for the second season, which I assume will run the course of the year. However that will be handled by Athanadros, Im not sure when they start yet, stay tuned. @BladeRunner - Thank you kind sir. I am glad it turned out better than I hoped.
  6. Hey Jwai, I am not real sure. I wasnt even sure Id be able to finish the first round because of my health, but it seems I did. I have already planned for Athanadros to take over the second round, with some possible help from BlitzJaeger as well. We shall discuss it more and Im sure it will be announced once the interviews start going out
  7. Well I guess this is the end folks! We have made it through 55 Interviews! Amazing really. I know some of you lost interest along the way, others gained it, but all along there was a great show of support from many of you and hopefully it was pretty entertaining. I was really glad of the success and your constant encouragement and messages. I really wanted to bring the community closer together, and I think that was achieved, if even for a group of 50-100 I see that as something. I know I feel closer to you anyways (group hug?). I appreciate your support and participation, its really cool to see the names and avatars now as people and not just names. Hip hip hurray fellas and ladies. It has been an effort but also rewarding, being your host. This has been Mike aka Shadow Clad - Time to fade to black...
  8. Ok....so here's our last interview....and boy is it long, I actually got pruny in the shower from this one (reference is interviews in the shower children) Many of you spent some good time answering questions, I know it was time consuming....many of you went further and I was impressed, with color and pictures, but now we reach an all new level of interviewing...prepare yourself! All jokes aside, here's someone many of you know from the fan art section, and from what USED to be weekly polls...(slacker!) please welcome our friend: BlitzJaeger Welcome and thanks for choosing to be with us and share some about yourself... Squeeeeeee! Thanks for letting me play! Let's start it out with meeting you officially; what is your Username, and how did you pick it? BlitzJaeger is my alias that I have used since I was about 15 or 16. I have always been interested in German and looked up my name; Chase, which means Hunter, and in German Hunter is Jaeger. I went with that rather than the verb of chase, which is not a name but an action. Blitz got added later, I somewhere along the way picked up a fascination with lightning, and researched it heavily (I know all about it!) I added Blitz to the front because I liked how it sounded together. Ever since I've used it on every forum, website and game platform. Mostly because its unique, it has meaning, and it's never taken! Would you like to tell us your real name? Chase Gray - My first name shall remain classified, it's a traditional family name passed to firstborn....and don’t go by it anyways. However if you have a sharp eye you might notice I still write it in my initials on all my artwork. Care to share your age? 28…However the running joke in my family is that I'm far older, mostly because I act like Im a wise old elder or something, always giving advice and such....I don’t mean too though. When my age comes up in conversation my family members burst out with random numbers simultaneously like 47, 62, 55 etc…its.... amusing. Where are you from and where did you end up? I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. I don’t have a very strong southern accent, but it comes out sometimes more than I like. People up North can tell right away, which I hate, because I don’t like southern drawl. I still live in Memphis, but I don’t want too forever. I like the tropics/beach type areas. So one day I will probably move to Texas, Florida, Costa Rica etc. Would you like to share about any significant others or family? How do they feel about your hobby? My family supports all my hobbies are quite proud of me, we are a very supportive and encouraging bunch, my sister is particullarly so of my drawings/characters, my brother more on my models. My dad and mom love whatever I do. As to the actual hobby, my dad got me into model airplanes, then he kinda fell out of it but I kept going, however I didn’t care for planes much I wanted to do people. I found Warhammer 40,000 when I was about 10 or 11, it was the early 90s. It was also the sci-fi elements that caught my eye. I always loved Knights and Maidens and Dragons, but I didn’t like the medieval miniatures much. Space marines and space suits were like knights in space! My dad didn’t like the evil/grim/violent nature of the game and made me wait several years before I was begrudgingly allowed to buy them to paint however. At this point I have been painting for about 18 years, I now paint things on commission, thought its mostly by request, I dont really advertize much...although it would be fun as a more serious part time job. Let's discuss the obligatory Infinity bits in more detail... Nobody wants to read this part you know? Ironic isnt it? However, I would expect nothing less! Sooo to Infinty - and beyond! How long have you been involved with Infinity as a hobby? Since 2011. How did you get into Infinity originally? I was looking for bits on War Store, then BattleWagonBits, and was curious about other sci-fi, being a bit burnt out on 40k. I wanted to find in particular, some really cool female models. I hate the sisters of battle, they are ugly and manish. I wanted tough girls that were still attractive and good fighters. I found the Swiss Guard and Orc girl and was sold instantly. Exactly what I wanted. The sexy aspect of the armor and poses never has bothered me. Im very open to things and my interpretations don’t always follow the norm cliches. Tell us about your favorite faction(s). Pan-O was my first favorite, I loved the blue and gray armor, the clean look, the techy and smooth sesthetics. I also liked that they looked like, literally knights (being a fan of Knights and Ladies remember) They were the perfect "good guys" I felt like I found my faction right then. HaqqIslam came later, originally I hated them. They seemed dirty and treacherous. But later I fell in love with their desert warfare look, the rough and tumble appearance. The super strong will to fight and win - or die. The terrorist cliche wore off and I found them to be even (admittedly) more enjoyable to play then my Pan-O. They are now the primary faction I play. I loved finding so many tough and cool looking female soldiers. Combined Army has always been the covenant to me, I just cant see anything else. Being a Halo fan (my brother and sister and I always loved the campaigns) I couldn’t help but love their weird alien tech and cool models. I eventually ended up getting the ones I wanted ( I don’t like Shavasti at all) I have only played them a little but, but mostly got them for the opportunity to paint interesting and unique models. However, having been bitten by the collection bug as a child, I tend to end up with everything, and now find myself making excuses to start Nomads, Aleph and Ariadna as well...I like the Nomads spacey disjointedness but unified feel, the clone-like preciseness and character of Aleph, and the guerrilla warfare, survivalist nature of Ariadna... What are some of your MOST favorite model sculpts and why? Really I like most sculpts, especially females, and power armor models, and both if possible...but in particular...Swiss Guard, Orcs, Crusader Brothers, Indigo, Sekban, Al Fassed, SAS, Arigato, Cutter, Hac Tao...there are more of course, but wed be here a while... What are some of your LEAST favorite model sculpts and why? Reverend more-ass. Pathetic. Also hate the tripping minuteman/woman thing...not a huge fan of the daktari cat, not because shes a cat, the pose isnt too sexy, its just dull. Kum troops are horrible, those motorcycles are so lame. Theres others too, but lets stay positive instead... How big is your Infinity gaming group? 7 People How often would you say you play games of Infinity? A while back we were playing every weekend, but as I am currently painting 3 of the other players armies, not much at the moment! (Im a notoiously slow and methodical painter.) What is your Infinity gaming group/community like? The majority of us are all very close friends, everyone gets along well. I quite literally love them, they are like family. Most groups probably are not as close as mine. You'll probably never see so much crotch, ass and boob grabbing in a game, followed by hugs. lol What is a typical terrain setup like for your games? We plan to make an official table with nice buildings and such, but for now its improvised stuff that I have built and other boxes and such from my Pharmacy. It does work very well though. Do you play tournament style and/or enter and play the official Rankings? No we havent, but plan too, several of our group are VERY competitive. (Like, they live for it.) Care to tell us about any glorious gaming moments? Not really. I havent played that much all in all. How about a turn for the worse or an event of misfortune? Knocking over terrain when the location of the minis is really important…but otherwise not really. Losing isnt much fun in general... How good would you honestly say you are at the game on a scale of 1 - 10? Id like to believe im a 8 but its probably a 5 or 6. I learn more each time I play. Also my primary two opponents are very intelligent and both are excellent at strategy, so I feel underdoged every game, but strive hard to make it enjoyable and do well. Do you stick by the rules or are you flexible? I prefer rules but I am flexible and relaxed. Go with flow! Do other players like to play you? I'm irresistibly likeable. Are you close friends with anyone here on the forum? Last Sparticus is one of my closest friends on earth and I love him a lot. My brother also has an account here but he never signs in. As to the others, I like many people if not most on here and speak to many of them often. Lol you Mike (Shadowclad) and Frank (Athandaros) are two that I talk with regularly. How do you feel about the community here as a whole? Warm and fuzzy, Im bad about being able to tell when people don’t like me, so I probably bug the crap out of some people here and meanwhile think we are buddies, so if you dont like me, I probably dont know lol. I just like to get along and have camaraderie so I don’t always pick up on the other. Overall I think most of us like each other and get along quite amenably though. How do you think the community here views you? As that member who posts too many polls and uses too many emoticons. (Im just trying to show the face Im making so you know the tonality/attitude!) Some people may know that I did a lot of fan art for a while (and shall continue in the future). That’s my guess anyway? Anything you'd like to change about the forum here? Um…yes can we go back to the old one? lol I like some of the changes, but don’t like others, its a 50/50 for me... How do you feel about Infinity as a game, compared to other miniature games, and do you like where this games direction is headed? Sometimes up and sometimes down but overall as is my nature, I go with what they do, I think the game is the most fun miniatures game Ive played, and I enjoy both the models and fluff and thhe gaming, which is usually not important to me, I am more in it for the hobby aspect, but having a fun game to play and actually enjoying it is great. I dont forsee myself leaving it. Anything particular to Infinity you'd like to share that's Infinity related before moving on? If you have any fan art requests, I am still making a list, albeit its long and I pick them at random, still feel free to ask. I will try and get through them all eventually. /shameless plug...heres Blitz's Deviant art: http://blitzjaeger.deviantart.com/ Let's talk about you some more, feel free to share or skip whatever you wish. When you meet new people you always ask about them, because people are self centered and love talking about themselves! Would you like to show/tell us what you look like? Someday. I am about to start a new workout routine, maybe after that...right now Im a bit too thin and out of shape... Do you have any tattoos or piercings you wanna share about? I have 12gg earrings, I was going to gauge them out really big, but now that Im older I changed my mind, same goes for any superfluous piercings...although Im not really against them in general, Im not a fan of facial jewelry on guys or girls... As to tattoos...someday Ill show you pcitures, but during the last year I have been really sick and got way too out of shape...(yes Im vain! V_V) ...I drew all my tattoos, something I am quite proud of and insist upon...however, my artist Paul, did help me make them better looking/presentable for tattooing (Panzerkunst/Conley Im sure knows all about that!) Some of them had to be modified a bit for good inking. Still, I love that they are all my artwork and not from a book. First tattoo was on my 25th bday, wanted one since forever and decided I was old enough to know for sure. I got a stylized lightning bolt that fades from dark to light blue and then back the other way on the outline. Second was a gray black and red nautical star on my right calf (I love stars and will probably get more) I had promised a close friend we would go together before he went to Afghanistan for his tour.... So I kept my promise. Third was some reverse dark blue fire (skin makes the flames) around my right bicep. On looking back, I didn’t want a stupid arm band (so silly IMO) but its large enough it doesn’t look too much like those so Im happy. I will probably add to it someday... Newest and probably tied with my lightning as favorite is a large half sleeve on my left arm of a segmented, snake like dragon that I drew. It coils all over and has large fin spikes like a stegosaurus with sharp spines in between. I love it! It has a lot of personal meaning for me that’s not even explainable really...my dragon is SUPER COLORFUL RAINBOW!!! His (its a boy...) body is gray, his tummy is hot green, his fins are blue and teal and his spikes are neon orange...his face is also neon orange with black and he has purple gem eyes...in truth hes much larger than I planned...I wanted just a small version on my shoulder (not visible) but Paul drew him HUGE! He convinced me the colors and art would look better large, so I went with it and wwas actually (9 hours of pain aside) very pleased. Heres a picture of the drawing, of course its wrapped around my arm. Ill take good picture on my skin sometime. Later Im going to add his name in Dragon Tongue…but his name is a secret, and yes its a boy rainbow dragon lol I also plan on getting another, matching but different dragon, coming out of the fire on my other arm (thus the continued piece) I have like 8 other ideas in mind, but who knows if or when Ill pursue them…my parents, friends and family give me a lot of grief now that I have several…not to mention a lot of customers, and myy boss... What do you do for a living? Speaking of which...lol. I am a certified compounding pharmacy technician...basically the same as a regular technician except on a daily basis I no longer have to fill prescriptions and count pills etc. Instead I combine raw chemical ingredients into new forms for patients including animals), or create totally new things (compounds) based on the doctors intentions...its usually pretty fun. I make capsules, creams, ointments, liquids, etc etc. Care to see some pictures? Sometimes I work with some pretty wild stuff, like pure cocaine... This is what 800 Grams of sugar looks like...roughly 20 sodas... In our case, its all going in one, yes one compound. It starts cloudy but after hours of cooking, is clear as water, and we call it Simple Syrup. It has other ingredients but is essentially a sugary base for liquids we make. Ever wondered what 10 or 20 Grams of solid fat looks like? There ya go...next time you eat something consider that lol. Heres some Menthol Crystals in natural form (really cool!), some crystal deposits in a beaker after a chemical reaction, and my handiwork triturating some pills into a liquid...yes I made a flower... Probably one of my favorite compounds is called Castalanis Paint, it starts as a dark greenish black powder with gold specks in it called Basic Fuchin Hydrochloride. After adding in a special acid combination it turns into this awesome purple and metallic green liquid. The end result is a dark blackish purple liquid that looks like ink. Cool stuff! If you could be successful at any profession you wanted, what would it be and why? I really wanted to be a jet pilot, however despite having the physical requirements, my eyes werent up to requirements. Life changing, but not life crushing. Alas, Ive always had a fond spot for fighter pilots (especially the females!) This is where my quote later on stems from. I may someday finish school and become a Pharmacist, purely because Ive done it so long and it pays well. However some form of success in art and character/costume design would be fun, and Id like my book/story to be successful, so...writer is in their as well. Id also like to make an anime series... Do you have any pets? Roane - My sisters dog, that lives at my house. Hes a total goob, he has 200% energy all the time. Loves to play and loves to love on you. He thinks hes a tiny puppy, so sitting on you doesnt seem wrong to him... Shellbug or Shelly - Shes a rescue from abuse, and has only her front teeth. Shes not mean, she just looks like that, not the prettiest, but certainly the nicest. Shes actually quite the fraidy cat. Mel aka Steve - We call him steve too because when he tries to meow (more like croak) it sounds like hes saying "steve". Hes a stray that showed up one day and never left. Hes probably like 30 years old, because he was at least 15 when we adopted him...and he just wont die...hes immortal. Baby aka Baby Weird, Carpet Monkey - Another rescue, my dad found her barely alive as a weeks old kitten at Sears, he called me and I caught her, been here ever since, very pretty markings. Leelu aka Mouse - Yup, I loved fifth element lol. My favorite pet. She loves to come sit with me when I get home from work and talks to me in full conversations. She got really fat after I had her spayed, but is still just a big loveable fur ball. I call her mouse as an inside joke. Korbin Dallas: Multicat or just Korbin - My brother found him on the side of the road just barely alive several months ago, hes now a permanent addition. ..loves to sleep near or on you. Gets crazy wired when playing... Why I call her Mouse...she loves catnip mice...a lot! Do you speak any other languages? Not really, I took Spanish and 2 years of German, and have watched a lot of Japanese Animes, but other than understanding some and a few phrases, no. Are there any languages you WISH you could speak? Spanish, German, Japanese lol - in reality, every language, but if I had to pick... Tell us a couple moments/stories where you were really scared. I used to have severe anxiety, so pretty much everything was scary lol. After it went away I became super independant and adventurous, so now pretty much nothing phases me, just one more challenge. I suppose the day to day things dont count...like people scaring you, avoiding a near accident...that horrible heart jump when you almost drop a plate or glass of something, a bug getting on you...(I dance like a merry peasant and scream like a banshee...) so those aside, a few stand out. One time at a friends house as a kid there was a pool party, there were tons of people there I didnt know, when I went to change my into my swimsuit 3 older guys jumped me and took all my clothes off, I thought I was going to get raped or beat up, but they just laughed at me naked and left, I was humiliated lol v_v Once I was taking off my shirt and the power went out, I thought I went blind, it was pretty horrible..... Riding my CBR600 was terribly scary!!! I didnt realize how scary riding a motorcycle would be till I already had one...then I bought a Ninja250, I found that less scary and started enjoying it. I kept them both lol. Its kinda funny, if you ride a motorcycle as a guy your supposedly cool/tough, as a girl your probably a dike/tomboy and if you ever ride the same sex passenger your obviously gay/lesbian, rather than it just being a friend/relative. (Isnt the world weird?) More recently: one night last year I was coming out of the movies after they were closed and a van pulled up onto the curb, a man jumped out and ran straight at me, I wasnt sure what to expect. Thankfully I just opened the door and he ran by me, I was a little unsettled... Any moments/stories when you were really excited? Im easily excitable....not even touching this one...(pokes and runs away) Name five things you dont like or that irritate you. Honestly there's too many to even narrow to five...but traffic is definately one, and arogant/bragodoshus people... Name five things you that you do like. The smell of bar soap - Its so amazing! It makes me happy just to smell it, its almost arousing! Sunshine and nice days, the sound and feel of breeze and hearing nature/animals. Being with friends/family - be it games, movies or just eating together, good times! Off days - Sleeping in late, being lazy, and doing whatever you want for a change. Candles! I love the Yankee Candle store, its such an uplifting place, and scents are so strong and amazing. I bought over 300$ of candles my last trip! Have you visited many places? Not really, just cities within the US... California, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Wisconsin What places would you LIKE to see? Everywhere honestly, or most everywhere, its sad to think Ill never be able too, in particular though: Japan, Germany, Italy, Australia, Spain, Brazil, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Alaska...etc What other hobbies or activities do you pursue? Several, lets see... I enjoy the car scene, at one time I was really into it, lots of guys and girls would come, we would just hang out looking at the cars and mostly talking and then get something to eat. When I got my Celica, it was my frist car that was mine (I drove a minivan for 4 years). My parents surprised me on my 20th bday. The surprise was I ended up paying for it after a year or so lol. None the less, it was mine and I wanted it to stand out, I never did much performance wise, but I went all out on aesthetics (Im visually driven [punny?]). It was a lot of fun getting it where I wanted piece at a time...Im not really into cars as much these days, you can only sink money into so many hobbies, and the car is pretty much where I want it visually. If anything, the next thing I may do is change it from Colorchange Blue/black and neon orange to digital camo with neon green instead. This is Jaeger, my car (that's actually on the plate) I think some of you have seen other pictures...I wont bore you with all of those hehe. I have recently gotten myself into motorcycles, its far more expensive and scary than I thought, but I always wanted to see what it was like, and none of my friends ever had one or even dirt bikes, so I never got the experience when I was younger. Nor did anyone I date have any experience, so Ive always been curious about it, and am finally old enough I decided to try it out. This of course made my brother and some of my friends very interested as well, though my sister was not...so far its been pretty neat, I love picking out all the gear and such. Heres my oriental blue CBR 600 Blitz and my Red Ninja 250R Angel...(Angel was picked by the previous owner...not me) Ive only been a bike owner for a few months, so I haven't done much to them visually yet. As many of you know, I do draw as well, I do mostly pencil, in the hopes someday Ill learn Photoshop and go back to ink and color them. I also know my way around markers, colored pencil, pastels, chalk and paint on canvas. I have dabbled in clay and sculpting as well. Really just the whole art scene. Over the years Ive taken many courses and experienced most everything. I have always wanted to learn to sew and make my own outfits, or for others, but have yet to venture down that road, however I have done minor alterations on my stuff, like patches, repairs and what not. Still, pencil line art/character design and painting miniatures are my favorites in the art world. As far as characters go I am influenced by anime and comic/graphic novel styles the most. I have classic anime characters, and most recently have been aiming for a more realistic look. My favorite is a blend of anime and realistic styles together. Heres my site http://blitzjaeger.deviantart.com/ I used to play paintball with friends and my family, we all played, brother, my mom, dad and sister. We had lots of friends into it as well, I have a lot of high level gear, unfortunately I havent played in probably 5 or so years (amazing how time flies) it got too expensive and with all of us getting older, other things came up, most of my friends sold their stuff to pay for weddings and houses etc. I still have mine, being a bit of a sentimentalist, I cant seem to get rid of things... I have taken lessons on several instruments: saxophone, piano and guitar...I enjoyed and hated all 3. Alas, I never enjoyed them enough to stick with it. My family is very talented music wise however and my brother can play guitar and drums, my sister and dad play piano. It just never was my thing... I enjoy working out and staying healthy (then again I haven't done either in months [in my defense I was sick...]) I am actually going to be starting another program in the new year, but unlike most people I stick to mine. The last one I did was a 12 week program by Jamie Eason called live fit. I ate raw food for months (literally just vegies and fruits, turkey chicken and fish...) it was boring but I did get nice and lean. However, Im already and have always been skinny. Especially when I was sick this whole last year, I lost roughly 20 pounds of muscle and was very dissapointed. So Im going to do a different program this time, one with my brother. Hes about my size and weight and nicely toned, so Ill be doing a muscle building program with him and my mom and sister, we all push each other and keep each others motivation high. Ive always preferred guys and girls with a nice tone, not crazy huge, just cut/athletic. Im hoping to see some good results. Ill take pictures if they are good haha. Movies are a big hobby of mine, I love to see movies in the theater, I pride myself on knowing both movie titles and all the actors in them, including the small fish that nobody remembers. My family plays a game where you name all the actors and actress's, it helps us all learn them nd remember them. People are always impressed when you know that guy they recognize but dont know. Its enjoyable, watching movies was probably started by my dad, a big movie buff, he would take me to them or watch them with me on tv when I was little, we would watch cartoons together as well. It was one of the things we did together a lot. It just grew from there, so my whole family is very in the know on the movies that are out or coming out, and every Christmas your likely to see 10+ new movies join our respective collections... Give us five song examples of the music you enjoy MOST (Using YouTube is encouraged.) Hard to narrow down, but since we are going for style/favorites, this may give you an idea? 1 - Pat Metheny - My Dad has listened to Pat since before I was born, I grew up hearing it all the time, and learned to love it. Very unique style and melodies. They tend to be longer than radio length, and many start slow, only to build to a crazy wonderful climax. I have a lot of favorites of his, but this is my top. Try it out! heres 3 more awesome ones from Pat: The Truth Will Always Be (Previous favorite, skip to 5:40 if you cant wait for solo...) Red Sky (Skip to 3:20 for start of solo) Follow Me (Solo begins at 3:00) 2 - Mr. Meeble - Fine Mr. Meeble is music I discovered when my brother showed me a Halo video online, I looked him up and found this tiny little band, they do very unusual but refreshing music. Nothing trendy. Its worth looking into. This is my favorite song with lyrics, and very close behind my first choice. I love this song because its really encouraging and has a great message, I plan on getting a tattoo of the lyrics on my hip: Despite the things I say Im fine Im just so cynical at times No need to wonder if Im fine I used to have no hope but now Im really trying And though I feel I cant go on sometimes I should be happy and thank God that I If I keep living and can breathe then I can find The way and know that Im...fine. 3 - Blackmill - I like some dub, but Im picky too. This is my type of Dubstep I enjoy. Nothing too crazy, no screaming, just relaxing with an awesome vibe/beat. I love listening to this song in the shower, and good love making music too! (And yes its making love, not sex. You brutish vikings ) 4 - Lymbic System - I actually dont follow Lymbic as a band, but this song is one of my favorites... 5 - The Glitch Mob - I really like the Glitch Mob, another strange band I listen too...The one I list is the official video, shortened for time and with extra harmony but, if you enjoyed that you make like the longer/full version here: Between Two Points - Full A note on music....I like a lot of strange music, I of course know the popuular and poppy stuff, classic rock, punk bands etc, but its not what I enjoy listening too except on occasion anymore, I have found that as Ive gotten older, my tastes in music have become far more tame...I still love some Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Staind, Incubus etc etc. But nowadays I prefer things like: Orca Veer, Steve Roach, Ozric Tentacles, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Deuter, Netsky, Camo and Krooked, and a host of others...Check out my playlists on my youtube channel if you like. Give us five of your favorite game titles. (Can be console, computer, or miniatures.) Thats hard to narrow down to five...Im not going to name things like Mario, Duck Hunt and Galaga because wed be herre all day, so heres just some favorites of mine that stand out, in no particular order, sorry for the quantity... StarCraft (Series) - Have to put this in here because it was my first real introduction to computer gaming, though I never got into WOW, I did/do enjoy everything about SC. Unfortunately Im not much good... v.v Halo (Series) - Its just so iconic in terms of games. I love it for the atmosphere and campaign, multiplayer was definitely something I enjoyed at times, but never truly liked it as a competitive multiplayer, more of a hanging/playing with friends game. Jak and Daxter (series)- A really fun, exploring type platformer game with, IMO a nice atmosphere, quirky characters and unique aesthetic. The adventures were always fun and interesting, and it never felt too repetitive or overly frustratingly difficult. The combat and guns were unique and easy. Metroid (Series)- I know its a classic, but I have to name it because I've always enjoyed the strong female lead and the unique environments and creatures. Exploring is particular fun to me in these games, and though not my favorite genre, they really do weell to tell a story and get your creative juices going. Some of the atmospheres/environments are just super in these. Killzone (Series) - This has always been one of my favorites aesthetically. The multiplayer is more realistic, though not for everyone (people often complain of the "stuck in mud" feeling). I use to be in the top 100 players in the world, but alas, simply couldn't donate the time to play so much once I was working more, going to school etc... Miltary Madness / Nectaris - Classic TBS, this was one of the games I diddnt understand well till later on, but played as a child anyway, it stuck with me, and as I got older I enjoyed it even more (now understanding how it worked lol) Red Faction 1 & 2 - I have to put this in here becaue it was one of my first FPS games to play, it had a creepy but fun story and is very memorable for me. 1 more than 2 though. Call of Duty (Series) - Should probably list this first since I play it the most. I was never a Battlefield or Medal of Honor player, my friends played this so I did too...I really enjoy the campaigns and the multiplayer is fun, especially when you know all your teamates in real life! Armored Core (Series) - Despite its complexities and repitive nature, Ive always enjoyed AC games becaus I would spend hours just building/tweaking them. Especially later on when they got more detailed. I would draw emblems and log a lot of time painting them up, only to go die lol. None the less, fun times. Fable - I always enjoyed this series, I would play it through as male and female both, and found character creation to be quite fun, I liked the story and sandbox feel (go wherever you want). Creating a persona is fun. Skyrim - Similar to above, I enjoy this for its simplicity, exploring and creating a character are good fun, I also (as mentioned) love dragons and the whole knight/maiden thing, so this is right up my ally, as far as medieval type fantasy things go. Chess - Yes, actually I do enjoy a good chess game! Infintiy - Explanation unecessary? Warhammer 40,000 - I cant leave it out, despite all its faults, its what got me into miniature painting and gaming, and its a huge part of my hobby history. Battle Fleet Gothic - i enjoy it both for the change in miniature painting/modeling and the gameplay. The gamees are usually pretty interesting and have a unique strategy and way to think for them. Also its fairly easy to teach to new friends and not too expensive to get into. Maybe someday Ill take pictures of my airbrushed solar system board i made eh? Give us five of your favorite movie titles. Bah! Five is such a small number for something so lengthy a list, so heres my solution ok? Legendary Obligation: Star Wars (Original Trilogy) Alien & Aliens (not 3 or others) Blade Runner Batman (New Trilogy) Godfather (Trilogy) Movies: Last Samurai Fifth Element Inception Life as a House Avengers Runner Ups: The Professional Star Trek (2009) Tron: Legacy True Romance District 9 Comedies: Bridesmaids Hangover Wonderlust The Bridcage Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Cartoon: Brave Wall-E Toy Story How to Train your Dragon Up TV Series: Breaking Bad Mad Men Firefly Game of Thrones Malcom in the Middle Anime: Ghost in the Shell (all) Heroic Age Last Exile Gunslinger Girl Cowboy Bebop How about some of your favorite actors or celebrities? Honestly I know so many and have so many favorites, theres no point making a list, I started too, but when I got to 50 names, I decided to save you the reading... What are some of your favorite foods? Pasta - Anything with noodles Sandwhiches Fruits and Vegetables Yogurt / Jello Soup Favorite drinks? Water! (Its amazing!) Sweet Tea Root Beer Chocolate Milk Egg Nog / Boiled Custard Fruit Juice of most any kind Whats your favorite alcoholic drink? I dont like alcohol actually...but if its new years or a party or Im forced to pick something: Smirnoff of any flavor, or something harder: Disarrono with Grenadine or JaegerMeister mixed into something (Yes I like fruity, sweet, girly drinks) Any quotes your fond of? Hindsight, its like foresight but without a future. - Kevin Cline in Life as a House ...Change can be so constant you don't even feel the difference until there is one. It can be so slow that you don't even notice that your life is better or worse, until it is. Or it can just blow you away, make you something different in an instant. It happened to me. - Kevin Cline in Life as a House Ive seen things you people wouldn't believe; attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate...all those... moments will be lost, in time, like...tears...in the rain...- Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner In each century we devise more advanced ways to kill each other. - Albert Einstein As you are, we once were. As we are, you shall be. - Unknown What are some personal quotes/things YOU say often? Barring the usual array of colorful descriptors and the back and forths between specific friends. We cant all be fighter pilots. - Me. I like it because it can have multiple inferred meanings. Meh/Eh/Mhm and other short noises. Son of a Monkey/Farmer/Biscuit Baker etc. Deadgummit - Ya, not proud of that lil southern bit. Do you have any good scar stories, or are you invulnerable to damage? I have very light skin, so even silly scratches may leave a permanent mark lol, I have lots of scars I dont even know how I got! A few I do though: I have a scar on my leg above my Star Tattoo, where a tree branch about 10-15 feet long felll and skewered me, looks like a shooting star now... My most notable is on my forehead, not very noticeable though (thank God). When I was only about 2, a boy was chasing me and he pushed me - right into a metal door jam, I came down on it like hammer to nail. Head split open to the bone and even chipped my skull. I remember only looking up into a crowd of adult faces, nothing more. 28 stitches later I was fixed. Plastic Surgeon said I was young enough it should heal without much detrement and my skull grew back...theres lots of pictures off me as a toddler with a giant frankenstein scar or big bandage over my forehead, and most of the picture I am not too happy...but the good news is its hard to see! If you could change anything about yourself, be it character, personality or physically would you do it and what would you change? I wish I had more will power/dicipline over my vices, I also wish I could keep my muscle tone without so much effort. But everyone has things they want to change, and overall Im happy. Nothing life ruining here. Alright lets talk about some hypothetical things and weird stuff... Like my dream where my tears turned into crystal angel wings? Or the one wear I live in a world of small chibi skeleton people? Or drive cars with super tall tires underwater and through space? lol ok just go... If you could have three superpower or unnatural abilities what they be, and why? Ultra-Strength Invulnerability Flight If given the choice to be immortal starting right now, or dying in six months which would you choose and why? Dying scares most people, but if you know where your going its not so scary. However, leaving my family would make me sad, and being immortal would be nice to learn and travel but watching your family and friends die off would not be, so thats a tuff choice. I suppose Die in six months, if I know about it. If given the choice to go back in time and redo life as the opposite gender, would you take it, why or why not? If my other choice is death then yes, although I have a lot of questions like, do I keep my knowledge? Is my sexual orientation the same? do I have the same family? Etc. Still, I probably would I suppose, just for learning/experience sake. I am a curious being. Overall I dont think gender affects as much as the world likes to make it look. But maybe Ive seen too many GITS episodes too... How bout this: You can choose between altering your gender whenever you wish, or trading bodies with someone else (anyone) whenever you wish, which would you pick? Altering gender sounds fun. Insta-penis! Boobs - No Boobs. lol getting drunk would be risky eh?! If you had to start over and redo life as a different race which would you pick and why? I suppose if you mean human, Id say German or Japanese, I like both cultures and could probably make either work. Outside human...Im not sure, I can think of some interesting races, but most exist inside war type universes, so I guess Id be Na'vi maybe? Or furry, er that is humanoid animal. Either a Fox or Wolf. If you could choose to stop time whenever you wished, and still be active, or fast forward time, and be active which would you pick? Time moves plenty fast on its own, so despite the few instances I wish I could use that, stopping time I believe has far more usefulness in most situations. Would you rather be able to read peoples thoughts/minds, or communicate with anyone you wanted telepathically? Both have equally appealing qualities, I suppose if I had to choose one, reading thoughts, as their are plenty of communication devices, but nothing to know what someone else is thinking, which despite how it sounds, could prove very useful in a multitude of situations. If you had to name three animals that best describe you what would they be and why? Rhino - Pretty easy going, but when I do go over the edge, things get broken... Cat - I am fine being a loner or with people, but I like my sleep and alone time, Im prone to be moody and hard to read at times. But overall good natured. Dog - I am friendly to most everyone, I enjoy comraderie and getting along, I like to have fun. If living on other planets or moons was already a reality, which would you live on and why? Probably Mars or Venus, I think they seem neat... Ok some rapid fire stuff now... Thats what you think... Text or Phone call? Phone if its too long, or need it instantly, otherwise....text. Apple or Android? BOX - PS3 - wii? I own every console lol, well except Sega...(Yes even Turbograffix, and those other old ones!) However Im primarily a PS3 player. Laptop or PC? Have had both, prefer Laptop. Tablet or Smart phone? Phone Paper Book or Book Pad? Paper, I dont know why, I like tech, but not reading pads. Sinner or Saint? Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Im more the latter... Give or Receive? They both have their merrits! Jay Leno or David Letterman? Leno, only because hes nicer, Letterman is mean. what about Conan Obrian? Star Wars or Star Trek? The original Star Wars Trilogy. I am not a Trekie, in fact, I found Star Trek boring as a child, Star Wars for me. However, the new Star Trek has snagged me as a fan. Anything older though I wont watch... Predators or Aliens? Both, I find it hard to pick here. They are so unique. Science Fiction or Fantasy? Both, but Science Fiction by a greater extent, lets say... 75/25, fantasy has to be specificly interesting to get me. First Person Shooter or Role Playing Game? I enjoy both to great extent, I enjoy the exercise for my imagination and creativity. Dogs or Cats? Cats. Dogs are so intrusive. Whats your favorite Holiday? We just had it! Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years, the whole holiday season there at the end. So fun, giving and getting presents, the tree, decorations, parties, holiday food, family time. I love it. What are your usual get up and go to bed times? These can vary greatly, but on average: Workdays: 8:30 get up...go to bed between 12 and 2 (depends) Weekends/Offdays: 10 - 3 get up...bed between 2 and 4 usually. Do you sleep with your covers tucked in? Ok. What's wrong with all of you? Yes covers of course! Heres my explanatory layering presentation: Fuzzy Blanket of unknown material Bed Spread Down filled blanket Mole Skin Sheets ME! This is where I go... SheetsPillow topper Down filled comforter Mattress Box Spring That’s how Kings and Queens sleep….thats how I sleep...and it seems to be working out pretty good so far...( I love you Robert D!) Would you enjoy the pirate/imperial life? I think so. There are certainly some downsides, the lack of medicine, and amenities Im used to (sadly) but I think I could enjoy it. I would choose the privateer life personally, the roaming around exploring new places and such sounds cool. Also I enjoy the tropics. How bout being a cowboy/Indian? Actually, my family is part Cherokee, although Im as white as cream myself, the family tree does go that way. My dad's side of the family goes back to an Englishman named Gray, who married in with Indians. My mom's side is all German and Scottish (The Cooper clan). So we are mutts of an interesting type…My great, great, great, grandmother was named cocoa, and was one of 3 Indian princesses at the time. Although I hear she was very mean and slapped people in the face often. Oh right, the question. I could easily do either, but like the gun slinging cowboy life myself, now if it were actually just diving cattle, Im not sure, that sounds hard and boring. What about a Samurai/Ninja? I don’t like choosing sides, but I would go with the Samurai just because I love the Last Samurai movie and I think I could make that lifestyle work. Also will Ken Watanabe be there? He seems cool. I based a character in my book off of him... How weird do you think you are on a scale of 1 - 10 These scales won't work because each person's reference points are going to be different! I'd say about an 8. How weird do other people think you are on a scale of 1 -10? Probably about a 3 or 4 at first glance. Until they get to know me... Anything you'd like to say before we go? Yes but Ive already kept you so long...lol you may go now. Thanks for spending a few minutes with us and sharing more about yourself! Thanks for spending a few minutes (or more...) with me and reading more about myself! Hope you enjoyed it, I tried to make it...detailed and possibly entertaining? ^.^ Cheers Friends! (Note - The internet literally ran out of color friend! Sorry! lol)

Care to tell us about any glorious gaming moments? i'd have to say slicing a jotums in half with my intrepid pheasant hacker during a tournament was certainly a moment of glory for the empire. i lost the game on victory points, but who cares - i sliced a jotums in half. How about a turn for the worse or an event of misfortune? the well-documented gencon 2012 epic fail weekend. gave up counting after suffering 50+ crits. How good would you honestly say you are at the game on a scale of 1 - 10? no idea. i like to think i'm at least a 7 but the dice gods make sure i don't play higher than a 4. Do you stick by the rules or are you flexible? well, having designed several scenarios, i like to think i'm flexible to a point while still remaining true to the game. 10. On starship troopers, anyone ever see the anime? Its out now... Also, good book called "Armor" by John Steakly, he wrote it sort of inside the starship universe if Im not mistaken, pretty good stuff, considering he was only a teen when he wrote it.
  11. Agree with Mao on hours of sleep, 5 or less is brutal, I used to do it all the time out of necessity but I could tell I felt way better in the 7-9 range....
  12. Our next member insisted we do this in the dark, hes a mysterious fellow...I left his interview unmodded, none the less I hope you enjoy learning about: Asreon Welcome and thanks for choosing to be with us and share some about yourself... Lets start it out with meeting you officially; what is your Username, and how did you pick it? Asreon is now the only Nickname I use on more than one forum, usually I have a different one everyone I register but this one stuck. Originally it came from my naming of my FF X character. Would you like to tell us your real name? Well the first half as it is known by some people around here anyway, that´d be Michael. Care to share your age? 32 Where are you from and where did you end up? I was born and raised in a German valley named after the river flowing through it, which has more annual downpour than some tropic countries. Right now I live not that far from it in a city called Herne which is in the Ruhrgebiet. Would you like to share about any significant others or family? How do they feel about your hobby? That’s a mixed one. The woman I love thinks playing with toy soldiers is ridiculous and that all of them are ugly as hell. My parents are still waiting for me and my brother to stop with this silly hobby (since 1996 that is). My brother on the other hand is working for a certain miniature company for over ten years now. Let's discuss the obligatory Infinity bits in more detail... How long have you been involved with Infinity as a hobby? Actively since September 2011, so a little bit over a year now. How did you get into Infinity originally? Most of you won´t like the start of this… I first found the miniatures about 2005/06 when a friend of mine and I stumbled upon them (we are always on the prowl for new game systems to play). Back then I was repelled by the miniatures and filed it under – no way. In early 2011 the same friend brought it up again, I said but the miniatures are bad. He said: No they have awesome ones now. I looked and he was right. End of story. Tell us about your favourite faction(s). Difficult. I have a thing for almost all of them, as each of them has parts of fluff that I really like. Being a fluff gamer… That´s why I ultimately let the miniatures decide which one to start first (and the fact that the two people who started with me already had Yu Jing). The only thing I really don´t like are the Tohaa, I hate their design. What are some of your MOST favourite model sculpts and why? Female Fiday, Lasiq Sniper – They sealed my decision to start Haqq first. They are both lithe and elegant plus I love female warriors, even though I noticed that about the Lasiq only after I bought her. Asura and Naga sniper would be the next two as the battle for the first faction was fought by those four. Besides that Reverend Custodier and, and… What are some of your LEAST favourite model sculpts and why? Most of the old ones (see above) except the ORC I guess, all Tohaa the pseudo-leaves, pseudo-eldar design is just awful, the druze far too bulky for my liking, torso width doesn´t seem to fit with the legs and some more. My liking is pretty evenly split in half around the infinity range. How big is your Infinity gaming group? I have 2 players living close by, another two coming in about once every two months and a fourth in my hometown but we yet have to play a game. But I just fixed another one for Ariadna. How often would you say you play games of Infinity? Sadly only about 3-4 games a month often less. What is your Infinity gaming group/community like? Struggling to get playing and get the rules right, otherwise we are a friendly bunch. At least the people who came in from the outside use to say that. What is a typical terrain setup like for your games? Most of the time my MAS and scratch build buildings (Necromunda and model train stores for the win), added with various scatter terrain and some jungle. Do you play tournament style and/or enter and play the official Rankings? Mostly we play after ITS but no tournaments up till now. Maybe later but I quit the tournament scene for good reasons some years ago, so I am hesitant. Care to tell us about any glorious gaming moments? When I brought down the O-Yoroi with standard weaponry in a coordinated order. It was the first TAG to hit our shelves and I smashed it, even though I lost the game. My Odalisque which with her retreat movement got into view of the Tiger soldier, killed him. Then she moved up to kill the Su-Jian with her first regular order and occupied the Outpost with the last order of the game. The Noctifier who combat camoed my regular with four failed shots by his spitfire and was killed by a Bagh-Mari sniper with a hit on a 2, failing both armour saves. Of course there are more but these come to mind right now. How about a turn for the worse or an event of misfortune? Four anecdotes for your amusement: My Dasyu Hacker trying to climb down the building she was on the get an unopposed angle against the spectre and falls to her death on a rolled 13. My Akal Hacker tries to map the enemy DZ (YAMS) and rolls four failures in a row. My Myrmidon with Spitfire shots around the corner at the Morlock who was standing in the open and gets a crit against his four hits. My Djanbazan Lt. against a Custodier I need 12 he needs 6, I roll three 3s, he a 4… How good would you honestly say you are at the game on a scale of 1 - 10? Hard to say I guess 7? There are a lot of things I haven´t faced yet so it´s hard to say how I´d deal with them. Do you stick by the rules or are you flexible? Rules are there for a reason but I try to be flexible. Do other players like to play you? I hope. For some reason most of my gaming life I used to `tutor´ my regular opponents until they become worthy adversaries, I guess sometimes I can be a bit condescending but when I notice it I stop immediately. But so far most people have said that they do. Are you close friends with anyone here on the forum? No. How do you feel about the community here as a whole? For no other community I wouldn´t even have considered doing this. How do you think the community here views you? Probably as the noisy guy with a writing complex;) Anything you'd like to change about the forum here? I don´t like how the new forum sticks your missing picture in your face and a back to top button would be nice. How do you feel about Infinity as a game, compared to other miniature games, and do you like where this game's direction is headed? I love the game for its´ dynamic and realistic play. The ten order Rambo stretches the suspension from time to time but mostly it is just awesome. So far it is the only wargame I played (out of around 30) that reminds me why I love it every time I put down my miniatures. As I have not read Paradiso yet it is difficult to say where it is headed. So far the rules are somewhat entangled but the free access online prevents the “all the rules are stretched about x-books problem”. Even though I have to say some of the new units seem to be underpriced in the points departure compared to similar models. That is not good a direction but I have confidence in CB to keep it a small problem. Anything particular to Infinity you'd like to share that's Infinity related before moving on? No, it´s your turn. Let's talk about you some more, feel free to share or skip whatever you wish. Would you like to show/tell us what you look like? 174 cm with somewhat too much weight, brown eyes and hair. Nothing spectacular here. Do you have any tattoos or piercings you wanna share about? Nope, I never got around to find a motif that I wanted to stick with for the rest of my life. What do you do for a living? I am basically unemployed since I finished my M.A. last year. Right now I teach a basic Japanese class but that is not enough to live on. If you could be successful at any profession you wanted, what would it be and why? I guess a combination of all the things I learned so far combining into somewhat like a part time teacher/researcher, part time blacksmith and part time artist/storyteller. Why because I love to do all these things. Do you have any pets? Nope and no one should. Do you speak any other languages? Well obviously German as my mother tongue and Japanese, even though it could be better. I have a degree in Latin from my school but I wouldn´t call it speaking. I learned Chinese for a while but only my literary Chinese is of any usable level, the same way my classical Japanese is better than my modern. Are there any languages you WISH you could speak? Swedish, Chinese, Thai, Spanish. The list goes on. Languages are a thing of beauty as they expand your mind in beforehand incomprehensible ways. Sadly I am very bad at learning languages. Tell us a couple moments/stories where you were really scared. There are not many I remember. The biggest on is under the next question. Any moments/stories when you were really excited? All paled compared to the moment before I confessed my love. I never had been more afraid or agitated and probably never will be. Name five things you don´t like or that irritate you. Idiocy, arrogance, religious fanaticism, greed, egoism Name five things you that you do like. honesty, friendship, integrity, toy soldiers, sex. Have you visited many places? I have been around in some neighbouring countries (including all of Scandinavia) but outside of Europe I only got to Japan for a semester of study. What places would you LIKE to see? Quite a lot. What other hobbies or activities do you pursue? Role-play gaming, Re-enactment (Medieval show group), Reading & Writing. Give us five song examples of the music you enjoy MOST (Using YouTube is encouraged.) (Note: Your links got gobbled up, please post again for us!) That´s a tough one as preferences change over time but here are some. Iron Maiden – Wasted Years Johan Sebastian Bach – Air Nightwish – Bye Bye Beautiful Bon Jovi – Always Blind Guardian – The Bard´s song This version especially because I have been in the crowd from which the version got recorded for the 2002 live CD, even though that was in Düsseldorf and not in StuttgartJ Sorry for the missing links but Germany is quite hampered YouTube wise. Give us five of your favourite game titles. (Can be console, computer, or miniatures.) Excluding miniature games. Soul Calibur Resident Evil 2 (Biohazard for the ones unfamiliar with the German title) Silent Hill 2 Mafia Game (C64) Final Fantasy VII Give us five of your favourite movie titles. Terminator II Blade Runner Cloud Atlas – go watch that movie, seriously Twilight Samurai Starship Troopers How about some of your favourite actors or celebrities? Jodie Foster Rutger Hauer What are some of your favourite foods? Ramen, Ice Cream Favourite drinks? Not really Whats your favourite alcoholic drink? I don´t drink alcohol, I despise the taste of Ethanol Any quotes you're fond of? Far too many I fear. What are some personal quotes/things YOU say often? “Told you so.” “I can´t do more than to offer my help.” “Not really.” Do you have any good scar stories, or are you invulnerable to damage? I was once hit in the head by a roof tile from the third story, the doctors said this was usually fatal. My skull wasn´t even scratched but the scar on my forehead will be there forever. Then some minor scars from school chairs and heated metal and the missing piece of one of my teeth from a sword blow. If you could change anything about yourself, be it character, personality or physically would you do it and what would you change? Sometimes I wish I had a more positive outlook on humanity and less weight on my hips. Alright lets talk about some hypothetical things and weird stuff... If you could have three superpower or unnatural abilities what they be, and why? (Self-)Healing, Teleportation and super speed. If given the choice to be immortal starting right now, or dying in six months which would you choose and why? That is not a question you should ask someone with a Thanatos drive… If given the choice to go back in time and redo life as the opposite sex, would you take it, why or why not? Depends if my old life is not erased, yes. I always wondered what life as a woman would be like. How bout this: You can choose between altering your gender whenever you wish, or trading bodies with someone else (anyone) whenever you wish, which would you pick? I can alter my gender anytime I wish as everyone can. Trading bodies it is makes for some intriguing possibilities. If you had to start over and redo life as a different race which would you pick and why? Klingon? If you could choose to stop time whenever you wished, and still be active, or fast forward time, and be active which would you pick? Stop Would you rather be able to read peoples thoughts/minds, or communicate with anyone you wanted telepathically? Both are just expression of telepathy so I would develop the other one if had one of them. If you had to name three animals that best describe you what would they be and why? That is for other people to decide but here is a try. Mule – stubborn to the boot Dog – loyal to the grave Something which has a tendency to rage. If living on other planets or moons was already a reality, which would you live on and why? I´d have to see them first Ok some rapid fire stuff now... Text or Phone call? I never text. Apple or Android? Laptop XBOX - PS3 - wii? right now neither - sadly Laptop or PC? see above Tablet or Smart phone? see above Paper Book or Book Pad? Paper – the smell of dreams Sinner or Saint? I have many a sin to stand trial for but I once was accused of even giving a Khorne general a soul, so both I guess. Give or Receive? Give when I can, receive when I must. Jay Leno or David Letterman? I don´t watch TV Star Wars or Star Trek? Both. Predators or Aliens? Predators Science Fiction or Fantasy? Both First Person Shooter or Role Playing Game? Real RPGs speack Pen&Paper Dogs or Cats? None of them should live under human lordship Whats your favorite Holiday? None What are your usual get up and go to bed times? I try to return to my 0700 – 0300 cycle. Do you sleep with your covers tucked in? depends on the weather Would you enjoy the pirate/imperial life? neither How bout being a cowboy/Indian? Indian What about a Samurai/Ninja? Both in their current expressions are fictions of the last century but still I am a little bit of both. How weird do you think you are on a scale of 1 - 10 Only the insane may judge what is sane 8 I guess. How weird do other people think you are on a scale of 1 -10? Hard to tell from 3-10, depending on their general take on life. Anything you'd like to say before we go? I surely wrote something that comes of wrong. Thanks for spending a few minutes with us and sharing more about yourself! Thanks for asking.
  13. Today we welcome someone most of you know, one of the few avatar ancients (meaning he doesnt change his avatar like a girl changes clothes...(Im looking at you Thunderpup T_T ) Please enjoy learning about: i0003 Welcome and thanks for choosing to be with us and share some about yourself... Lets start it out with meeting you officially; what is your Username, and how did you pick it? i0003... basically you can;t use i3 as a user id/’nick anywhere (far too short!) so It had to be padded out a bit. Now that might bring you to say: “why i3”, right so in simple terms: I like it. Also 3 is awesome Also I’m now trying to ignore the existence of the Tohaa. (damn their threes!) Most importantly i0003 is now ‘mine’ (or is me infact!) so I’ve grown rather attached after its first use, well over 10 years ago. Would you like to tell us your real name? Robin Care to share your age? 24 Where are you from and where did you end up? I grew up in the Bristol, England. I now live towards London in Reading. Would you like to share about any significant others or family? How do they feel about your hobby? My partner puts up with my gaming, minis and scenery all over the house, so she must be rather tolerant... Let's discuss the obligatory Infinity bits in more detail... ooOOoooo the shiny stuff! How long have you been involved with Infinity as a hobby? Erm.. this would require me to start counting... I think 2008? (those that know me feel free to correct me) either way, a good while! How did you get into Infinity originally? The minis looked good, we had “hack” at the rules, mostly playing necromunda at the time, so two of us decided to jump in and buy some minis, we picked up some discounted starter sets that were being sold off, and I bought myself a guija on ebay! It’s been plain sailing ever since! Ok I lie, we messed up absolutely every rule under the sun to start with. Tell us about your favorite faction(s). Okay, so... My first and ‘home’ faction is Yu Jing, I like the crazy power armour, and enjoy having some rather ‘nasty’ characters: Celestial Guard Bao Daofei They’re unpleasant, brutal, and fun to roleplay on the table: ENEMY OF THE STATE: “why are you shooting the doctor!” Emperors Glorious Commander: “who else would I shoot!?” ENEMY OF THE STATE: “a threat? Someone who’s conscious!? Maybe the guy with the large gun pointed at you!” Emperors Glorious Commander: “Pah! Fine .... I’ll blow just his body up with a kuang shi instead” (inevitably fails; only I don’t pass armour checks against those guys) Oh I also rather like the CA, for similar (silly) reasons, along with the fact the miniatures are a joy to paint! What are some of your MOST favorite model sculpts and why? Favourite Sculpt: Guilang Combi I’m also very fond of the Skiavoro (but only if you cut off all the gore, detracts from my preferred aesthetic. What are some of your LEAST favorite model sculpts and why? None are beyond some redeeming features, but allot of the older sculpts; such as the Gazi, are pretty poor in comparison. I also wish the o-yori had slightly shorter legs... (although I love the mini otherwise!) Humm.... oh! And the old hunzakut (because the new one is so awesome!) How big is your Infinity gaming group? There are a few of us *counts on fingers* all in all including the more occasional players 8ish. (maybe one more...?) We’re currently running through the Paradiso campaing with 6 players. How often would you say you play games of Infinity? I currently aim for once a week, sometimes it’s more, and sometimes a miss a week, but it’ll average around that  What is your Infinity gaming group/community like? Full of idiots? (myself included) – the best kind of group. (sorry guys). What is a typical terrain setup like for your games? Well, something like this! http://i1083.photobu...18_368.jpg[/img] Do you play tournament style and/or enter and play the official Rankings? Yes! We normally play our games to ITS standard with no mercs... but do proxy all the time (hey gotta try stuff out ) Mercs are definitely happening in the campaign though I attend what tournaments I can, although my reasoning is just so I get to play more games against more people, the competition is just an excuse! Care to tell us about any glorious gaming moments? Well... in my last campaign game a murdered a Guija with a total reaction baggage bot, in two volleys, when it was hitting on -9 *looks sheepish* ooops! How about a turn for the worse or an event of misfortune? Oh, the rest of the time Managing to get 3 kuang shi to explode over aleph troops and not one cause a wound... How good would you honestly say you are at the game on a scale of 1 - 10? erm... a lot of the time 2? 1? .. when I actually try probably more like 8 (says the man who played a friendly game on sunday and “accidentally” only brought the required hackers in a form incapable of entering the objective room....) Do you stick by the rules or are you flexible? I like to stick to the rules, it's just more of a challenge to find ways to do fun stuff around imposed constraints than just doing what you like! Do other players like to play you? I think so, sometimes (read when I fit multiple sepsitors in a list) maybe less so >_> Are you close friends with anyone here on the forum? Why yes! Sleepyamoeba, 0-0-17 & Phlyk are good friends of mine! Not to mention those guys down west, particularly IJW & Crinos I guess! Also the newest additions to our (infinity) gaming group: Growler83 & Welshwonder92 How do you feel about the community here as a whole? Great, and for the majority, very friendly. I wouldn't be involved otherwise. How do you think the community here views you? Erm, I doubt anyone really pays much attention; I am terrible at keeping my plog(s) updated, although recently this is because my painting hasn't got done.. Anything you'd like to change about the forum here? Eh, it works! - so who cares to change? How do you feel about Infinity as a game, compared to other miniature games, and do you like where this game's direction is headed? I much prefer infinity to any other game system, especially for the scale: it's the best system I've come across. For larger scale engagements it would quite frankly not work, but that's not the games intention, so who cares! Looking forward to playing through the rest of campaign paradiso, and I am enjoying the interesting new equipment greatly! Anything particular to Infinity you'd like to share that's Infinity related before moving on? Oh god, pretty minis: I already play Yu Jing, Haqq & CA …. god damnit! Let's talk about you some more, feel free to share or skip whatever you wish. My apologies for anything I skip. Would you like to show/tell us what you look like? Pretty much bang on 6' I currently have a beard, short hair on the sides and the top is longer and bleach-blonde! (I look particularly silly atm, Hell Yeah!) Do you have any tattoos or piercings you wanna share about? Nope! What do you do for a living? Currently I work in IT support (oh god) but have a new job lined up in... (roughly) Electronic Engineering If you could be successful at any profession you wanted, what would it be and why? I'm afraid I don't know if I could commit to any one ideal right now. Do you have any pets? Kind of (my partners really) a Small black mini-lop (bunny) Do you speak any other languages? No, although due to my family I understand a lot of Spanish. Are there any languages you WISH you could speak? Spanish, Catalan, Latin, Mandarin.... and probably many more I will never learn! Tell us a couple moments/stories where you were really scared. Erm... scared I'm not so sure, I might have blotted those out, or mixed them with the feeling of dread. Any moments/stories when you were really excited? At a few gigs: KMFDM, Bad Relifgion, Zeromancer!! Name five things you dont like or that irritate you. Impoliteness, especially in a work environment. Stubbing my toe. Being tired all the time. People who keep using “going forward” every few sentences. Any injustice, gets on mah' tits! Name five things you that you do like. Cute things! My friends, family & acquaintances. (who are all bonkers!) A good game (of anything!) TURNIPS. TURNIPS! Have you visited many places? Not really, been to Spain a lot, but I've barely been out of Europe... ( a single trip to NYC) What places would you LIKE to see? Lebanon, Iran, Jordan. What other hobbies or activities do you pursue? All forms of gaming: RPG, computer game, board game, etc... When I have the chance, making/customising clothes, (not for a while unfortunately) amateur electronics. Give us five song examples of the music you enjoy MOST (Using YouTube is encouraged.) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...ed/fvZqWq0ZNjk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...ed/GxLZAwl_RNc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...ed/JTTC_fD598A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...ed/1GAKOLOnfV4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.c...ed/ZN6kCgMUjFw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Give us five of your favorite game titles. (Can be console, computer, or miniatures.) Favourite game ever: The Nomad Soul (PC) Whist – as in, with playing cards (everyone should play trick games.) Talisman Infinity (obviously) Extreme-G Racing (N64/Gamecube; favourite being.... 1 or 3 I think.) Give us five of your favorite movie titles. Brazil Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill! Tank Girl House of a thousand corpses / The devils Rejects Visitor Q How about some of your favorite actors or celebrities? Ermmmm …... *shrugs* What are some of your favorite foods? (this list could cover volumes!) Cocido Steak & Oyster Pie Grilled Eel Wasabi peas Suckling Pig Favorite drinks? Blood orange Juice, Tea. Whats your favorite alcoholic drink? RUM! Also Zombies – as they are full of Rum. A nice good Ale, a variety of other nice beers. Good ol' west country cider! And always a faithful Martini. (none of this vodka bollocks!) Any quotes you're fond of? “you can lead a man to reason but you can't make him think” What are some personal quotes/things YOU say often? “there're too many people in the world anyway” Do you have any good scar stories, or are you invulnerable to damage? I am pretty good right now. If you could change anything about yourself, be it character, personality or physically would you do it and what would you change? I'd like to be in better shape, better looking, smarter, funnier, more calculating, more liked, a veritable genius, the leader of the world, uniter of nations, scourge of the wicked, all-round awesome.. you know the usual stuff we all really want deep down. Alright lets talk about some hypothetical things and weird stuff... I though we'd already got to that with the last question? If you could have three superpower or unnatural abilities what they be, and why? Number 1: the ability to grant myself any superpower or unnatural ability whenever I want as often as I want. Numbers 2 & 3 can have the day off. If given the choice to be immortal starting right now, or dying in six months which would you choose and why? I'd need to know far more details on your definition of being immortal: could I for example be horribly mutilated and still never be able to die? Or I would I miraculously heal, or would Infact just live until I die of unnatural causes? Got to read the fine print ! If given the choice to go back in time and redo life as the opposite gender, would you take it, why or why not? No! It's been enough hassle as it is. Plus, I'm lazy. How bout this: You can choose between altering your gender whenever you wish, or trading bodies with someone else (anyone) whenever you wish, which would you pick? The latter, think of the havoc I could wreak! If you could choose to stop time whenever you wished, and still be active, or fast forward time, and be active which would you pick? Stop time I guess, I’m sure I can get up to something fun *winks* Would you rather be able to read peoples thoughts/minds, or communicate with anyone you wanted telepathically? Reading thoughts could ruin every friendship I’ve every had, so telepathy: plus I can really mess with the the religious people in the world. If you had to name three animals that best describe you what would they be and why? Cat – because they like to sleep everywhere. Spider monkey – curious and skittish! Platypus – they're just a bit weird. If living on other planets or moons was already a reality, which would you live on and why? Which ever turns out to be the most interesting and full of exciting new things (this may just mean somewhere else on earth is superior.) Ok some rapid fire stuff now... Ready to Rumble! Text or Phone call? Friends: call Randoms: text Apple or Android? Android XBOX - PS3 - wii? Wii Laptop or PC? A laptop is a pc.... a Desktop PC for me! Tablet or Smart phone? Smartphone Paper Book or Book Pad? Paper book, because those are what I’ve got! Sinner or Saint? Meet a saint, be a sinner. Give or Receive? Receiving for me please. Jay Leno or David Letterman? *Shrugs* I recognise the names, but dunno why. Star Wars or Star Trek? Probably star trek. Predators or Aliens? Aliens I guess. Science Fiction or Fantasy? I like both, my preference shifts, but both really! First Person Shooter or Role Playing Game? First person RGP shooter? System shock / deus ex ? Dogs or Cats? Cats. Whats your favorite Holiday? The one where I'm having the most fun? What are your usual get up and go to bed times? I work shifts, so between 5:45-9 for getting up... and pretty much bed for 11/11-30 every night. Do you sleep with your covers tucked in? Ha.. you're funny! no... Would you enjoy the pirate/imperial life? It's alot of work eh!? - Pirate life might be a little to hard for a wussy man like me! How bout being a cowboy/Indian? Nah, no thanks. What about a Samurai/Ninja? Ninja, mostly plotting/scheming, very little of any action. How weird do you think you are on a scale of 1 – 10 Oh only around... 2? (at a push, there are some very weird people out there, so 10 is a long way off! The vast numbers of 1's and 0's can't alter the fact that a fixed scale has to go all the way to the weirdest of the weird.) How weird do other people think you are on a scale of 1 -10? Many people, probably around a 7. Anything you'd like to say before we go? Thanks for organising these interviews, but blimey; it took a while to fill out! Thanks for spending a few minutes with us and sharing more about yourself! Yay! I got included!
