  1. I find our main strength is the triads. It bumps the effectiveness of w good model up to 11 without spending the points you would in a sectorial. B2 reactive sniper? Two kamael and a gao- rael. Almost unimpeded movement up the table? Makaul smoke. We're a synergy faction and when you get a hold of that and understand the opponent, it's very easy to be higher than average.
  2. It's definitely one more model that makes me want to play Ariadna. Now we wait for the grunts.
  3. Definitely mutts, or anything without a cube. I found in my last game against the avatar was that if you put something better than it in CC it's really just a piece of dead weight. Hussein would be great against it, especially if you ran vanilla with Saladin. Salad man cancels out the avatar's Strategos lvl3 with his own, so I think you should be able to keep hussein in reserve against him. If you go first, just make sure you put hussein real near the avatar and watch him do nothing for the rest of the game, save perhaps die. Barring that, mutts will make the avatar weep by positioning them in strategic locales to impede his advance. Deploying second helps this. Naffatuns placed well can spell the end for his ODD, and flames are surprisingly good at killing big stuff. with ODD gone, a lasiq will be able to hit hm with viral whenever he moves.
  4. I'm surprised no scouts as cheaper heavy stand ins. I always think the Ojotnik mixes with Marksman 1 is great when you can infiltrate to a sniper nest thats outside your DZ. Then again, I love snipers.
  5. I have an easy solution to Drakios: Nikoul. No ODD? Amazing! So I just snipe him and his bots go offline? I'm loving it!
  6. I mean beanbags for ammo.
  7. Beanbags. Problem solved.
  8. Ok, I can help with these. I ran these two lists at I-4 Invasion, they worked pretty well for me, I took 6th place. 3 Specialists each list. 9. Guges, all you need are box forts. Anyone who was a child at one point should know that! Plushies and box forts with rubber band guns or nerf rifles is all you need!
  10. Army painter is fairly cost prohibitive. There are pros and cons to each primer, as far as I know the list would be something like this: ~Krylon - You can overdo it if you aren't careful. Small thin coats are best, lest you gunk up a model. ~Airbrush Primers - Tend to not have the 'tooth' that others do. Great for airbrushed models, but not for hand painting. ~Army Painter - Expensive. Otherwise, these are amazing as you can buy the respective color in the army painter line and it will match the primer perfectly. Also the only company with a pure black primer, not an off black or charcoal. ~Tamiya - Expensive and small bottles. ~Testors - Inexpensive, but their brand is an enamel so it will be thicker. You can, however, use Dullcoat to prime, but finding where you didn't get the coat on is impossible.
  11. If you make them, Yashia, I will buy them, lol.
  12. Krylon. Stuff is amazing, probably the only primer they sell that I will swear by. It has a very high opacity so you don't need a lot of coats. Buy from Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon and you pay just a bit over 3 bucks for a large can.
  13. Dunno, I think it has some good uses for it. Tie up an Avatar in CC for a few turns even. It's value is when an opponent does not expect it. Also great for dislodging a TR remote from your opponent's side of the field. Get up close and kill in in CC where it can't pump you with an HMG.
  14. I can't remember the site name, but my process is something like this: ~Paint the entire eye white, before even touching skin color. Doesn't matter if you go over. ~Paint around the eye with a dark color, or whatever you want the eyeliner color to be. Sometimes I'll just skip this and throw a wash over the white, and then retouch the raised part in white again. ~Paint the pupil/iris as sort of an off-shape line. If you use a dot, try to center the larger part of it towards the top of the eye, eyes are rarely ever straight on, especially if someone is looking up or out at something. You can go in with a retouch on the eyeliner on the top of the eyelid if you need to, we haven't touched the skin yet. ~When you're satisfied, start painting the skin, but use brushstrokes that go away from the eye, as it allows more control so you do not paint the eye.
