  1. No, you're not missing anything. It's not exactly worked in yet (I think we were working on it last time I've heard). However, you can do a quick buy and swap meet as soon as you start or wait until the PCs run into a vendor somewhere on their first mission. Could even have a quartermaster in their 'base' that they visit before they head out on the mission.
  2. Oh trust me, that was the player's exact intent. That's why he immediately grabbed a chair, made me stat it, then proceeded to kill people with a chair....It was the worst moment of my life as a GM (well, not 'worst', but it's up there). It's also what he beat Maggie with...until they destroyed her too.
  3. Of course he didn't want any trouble, he WAS the trouble! Jackie Chan's a huge jerk in the Infinity universe. My least favorite Recreation ever.
  4. One of my players rolled up a character and became a Yu Jing Recreation. I said to him "Okay, that's interesting...(explained recreations to him and the point of them), who would you like to be?" "I want to be Jackie Chan!" "Seriously? Out of all the possibilities, you pick Jackie Chan?" "Yeah!" "Okay, fine. Let's do this. I want to go on record that I hate you" We have Jackie Chan, the rogue YJ recreation (with all of his points in CC and agility), a Haqqislam Doctor who was previously a silk merchant turned legitimate from the Caliphate area, a Nomad hacker/engineer who aspires to purchase their own combat remote and they were orphaned as a kid. They have an extreme love for robot's kind of their "thing", if you catch my drift, and they're from Bakunin. Lastly, we have a Spetsnaz parachuter and Pack Controller, who's been enlisted to serve with O-12 as a bodyguard and black ops agent. He's secretly a member of the Stavka and uses his missions as a means of gaining intel for the Stavka on O-12 and the other factions. We also had a player roll up some PanO person, but they didn't bother with a backstory and I couldn't remember anything they rolled up (they really just wanted to play, but then they stopped after 2 sessions, it was kind of weird). Very first mission is a response to a terrorist group who claim they're bringing in the new phase of humanity by taking a bunch of O-12 diplomats and delegates hostage and then eliminating them. They're worshipers of the EI and think destroying O-12 will help their cause. The team goes in to rescue the hostages. The PanO player dies almost immediately by being a fool and running into mines as well as a few sneaky spots the enemies were hiding in. Haqq player runs in to heal them, gets the PanO player back up and running, so they decide to go hide outside the hotel they were in. Spetsnaz then moves in, clears out the rest of the bad guys and progresses towards the first hostage. Nomad player moves up and hacks into the security mainframe, gaining access to various cameras across the map. Jackie Chan moves in, last, and does a bunch of combat rolls, wall climbs, etc. to build up momentum. Bad guy turn, they move into position, try to kill dudes, they fail. Players go, so Jackie Chan goes first...I regret every decision I ever made by allowing him to be Jackie Chan. He finds a chair, does some more agility tests to bank up momentum and then proceeds to beat the whole squad of three NPCs with a freaking chair. Kills them all too. Jackie Chan then proceeds to move towards the next group. The PanO player hides outside, Spetsnaz is laying down covering fire to the stupid Jackie Chan running all over the place (dodging all of the mines too...for more momentum), Haqq player moves behind the Spetsnaz, trying not to get shot, and the Nomad hangouts in the main lobby hacking stuff. Needless to say, Jackie Chan killed almost everything by himself, until they hit a Maghariba Guard. It took most of the team and the hacker to take that beast out, but Jackie Chan still did most of the damage.... Morale of my story; random character creation is fun, I love the game, it's very thematic, but difficult, and Jackie Chan is OP.
  5. Same here comrade, same here. That's why I hide the Tankhunter Lt. in the backfield and only use him in desperate situations, or turn 3. Nothing like blowing up a d-charge halfway across the table with a Lt. Order
  6. Yeah, I'm still thinking giving them MSV1 is the best option. Probably my best idea yet! It definitely helps them fill a different niche than the Veteran without making them too unique. I mean, we used to have a Veteran Kazak loadout with MSV1 and it was pretty interesting. I took it occasionally, so having a T2 rifle with X-visor and MSV1 would be the perfect love child and would allow them to feasibly compete against the Veteran Kazak T2 version without replacing it. The AP HMG loadout would then have a completely unique loadout that fills its own niche within all of Ariadna. Plus, putting MSV1 on a 4-2 "HI" isn't going to be the end all, be all. There are far sillier combos, like the Spetsnaz HMG, etc.
  7. Generic Ariadna ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 6 2 HARDCASE FRONTIERSMAN Tactical Bow, Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12) CHASSEUR (Minelayer) Rifle, Light Flamethrower, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 20) CATERAN T2 Sniper Rifle / Pistol, AP CCW. (1 | 24) GRUNT Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) TANKHUNTER Lieutenant AP Rifle, Adhesive Launcher, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 25) LINE KAZAK Paramedic (MediKit) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) VETERAN KAZAK (X Visor) T2 Rifle, Light Flamethrower / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 38) LINE KAZAK (Forward Observer) Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) 2.5 SWC | 150 Points Open in Infinity Army With some minor changes, I put this together for you. A more survivable Lt. option, Veteran Kazak can safely go cause mayhem and is packing a T2 rifle. I also included a FO Line Kazak if you guys deal with objectives or classifieds, or use it for the fun of Flash Pulse shenanigans. All in all, you've got a pretty solid starting 150 points with a fair amount of the meat and potatoes (got to get the vodka somehow ) of what Ariadna is. Camo and beefy dudes are what we do best!
  8. What I've been doing is using my blog. Someone could easily make a free blog on WordPress or Blogger and then use that as a means to host images on the forums. Might want to try Google Drive, but I haven't had any success with it working on the forums yet. Also could try using DropBox, but I personally haven't tried that experiment.
  9. That is totally understandable. I really like that idea and wish I had more ambition to make my own conversion, because I would do the same! The best thing to do is if you have any 40k players nearby, try to find an Eldar player and use the Dire Avengers loin clothes. Those things are perfect and should be perfect for your conversion without too much work at all.
  10. I think it works, yeah. It can be a pretty feasible proxy for any Ariadna HI with a HMG and that's a pretty great thing I would recommend possibly trying to add in some clothe bits somewhere, since CHA really does love their tartan. That will really help make it look more like a Grey than just an universal proxy.
  11. This is what I get for trying to type at work before my boss catches me, ha ha. I'm not even going to edit it out because that's priceless!
  12. That's a real bummer Hopefully you can get a good group up and going before too long! Everyone needs a bit more RPG in their lives! I'll be in the same boat myself in a month and a half, so I imagine I'll be feeling your paint here soon, ha ha.
  13. Aye, as someone who's been working on the RPG, I can definitely say that it's close to done. Just working out a few little kinks here and there, but it's by the large done
  14. Nope, the Wardriver is rarely worth taking, unless playing High Classified (I learned that the hard way). Even for the occasional Classified Objective, they're more likely to die, than achieve the objective.
  15. Has this been confirmed? I thought they were only for Wotan, which is why they have separate profiles and those separate profiles specify "Wotan".
  16. Aye, it's really old news. We've known this info for almost a year now. Even Krizas being S5 was old info too.
  17. Clearly you haven't seen the Ariadna propaganda team and their efforts And a link to only some of our 'posters' and pictures:
  18. I'm sorry, but that's all I got. I am very surprised that CB hasn't been hyping it up more, like they usually do. Whatever it is, they've been very quiet about it.
  19. It's not, so best get to speculating about something else
  20. tactica

You're telling me, ha ha! There have been those who have been waiting since 2009 though, so I haven't been waiting nearly as long as them. Don't worry, we'll get our Kazaks someday soon
  21. tactica

Kazaks are the best, comrade I'm glad you're enjoying the tactica and the thread. It's been a culmination of years of work and my almost five years of experience with playing Kazaks. Same here comrade, same here. I've been waiting since 2012 for the sectorial and there are others who've been waiting much longer than me even. It can't get here soon enough!
  22. Same. I really miss some of the profiles too. Veteran Kazak doctor and Tankhunter AP sniper, to be precise.
  23. I would probably look into this then: BLOODGOD is a champion of Ariadna camo and dude spam and he's a very good player. I had the delight to watch him in action in person, while he proceeded to kick my butt
  24. Yeah, Vanilla Ariadna will do that to you The trouble is, there's a lot you can do with Ariadna, so it's kind of hard to recommend anything until we know what you're thinking for. Are you looking for order and camo-spam? That's what it sounds like to me. If so, I'd look into getting Foxtrots, more Chasseurs, Chain rifle Volunteers, and Uxia. Probably will want Traktor Muls minesweepers and the Dozer, so you can take them. However, that's all I can suggest now without getting a better idea of what you're looking for and your preferred style of play.
  25. I know I will be! I already preordered mine weeks ago, ha ha. Just got to wait for it to arrive, alongside my Ayyar
