  1. Adding to what have been said before: remember one of our dirty tricks with chain myrmidons, the corner CC attack: Imagine a nasty naffatum hiding behind a corner waiting for you to turn and flame your guys; With your first half order, you move to the limit of the corner, staying out of LoF but in ZoC of the guard and stating you aren't using Stealth, so he only have reset or change facing Aro. Whatever he uses, in your second half order, you move to base contact. Be sure no other troops can gain LoF during your second movement. Next order you stab him to death. In any case, linked Phoenix can risk a shoot against a Djambazan HMG if he isn't in SF or linked. Also remember linked Thorakite HMG is a inexpensive tool for cleaning ARO pieces.
  2. Hi Ilias How did the game go? I think Pat is one of the only Greek I have never used, definitely have to give him a try but I find him very expensive for a 1 wound plus NWI figure.
  3. Hey Palomarus, nice batrep! Congratulations on a very hard win. Some comments on rules: -Viral doesn't allow you to go NWI, it directly moves you to dead state. So Phoenix would have dead and couldn't catch the antenna later. -briefly, holoproyector 1+2 allows you to deploy three same figures and in your first turn you mark two as holo echoes. -Correct Suppresive Fire are broken by warning, but after surviving any hits you can change your facing without breaking SF. Although it doesn't allow warning any other trooper. Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  4. It's a good one. How do you intend to play Patroclus? Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  5. 4 man link always! You'll regret not bringing it when you were shoot through smoke or by a spetnatz hmg Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk

  7. Overall I think your list with Achilles is quite potent. One "defensive" thorakites link, one hard myrmidons link, Achilles and agema. Quite strong build. Be careful in Show of force with the repeaters of the enemy. If I would bring a tag, I'd bring repeaters a khd to kill enemy hackers and a ahd to upset the tag. The later can make the day with Achilles (although you still have tools to take down the tag) Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  8. Yeah! The trick is keeping them 2" apart and watch out tear templates. I played today against a horde of YuJing leaded by hsien hmg, ruishi and Yan Huo HRMC. Went second, my only casualties were in his first turn where a tiger killed 2 thorakites and a netrod although it's killed in the process. His Hisien killed another netrod and then I started the killing... He have been wiped out in nearly my second turn; Yan Huo and ruishi killed by Hector and Achilles even unhaired himself killing 1 shaoling and 1 guilang AHD. Let's see what happens if I face too many AHDs Lists sent! May Fortune and Nike care for ourselves! Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  9. Hi that two lists have a bit of everything and are good . Try both and see what you can improve. Just my two cents. Even being in the heat of the battle, Macaón is better Lt than Alke. Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  10. Hi everybody! I lost very badly, but wasn't list fault but mine, and mostly because I was pushing to the breaking limit. I will try a brief report (although I advance I couldn't make it so it's going to be a long post, my apologies). My opponent was asked to bring a Tag list against Phalanx with Show of Force in mind. He has many factions at hand, but in the end he brought this Marut list Marut Fran ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 MARUT Lieutenant (Strategos L3) MULTI HMG, Heavy Flamethrower, Nanopulser / AP CCW. (3 | 120) KARKATA Flash Pulse / Knife. (0 | 0) NAGA Combi Rifle, Monofilament Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 30) NAGA Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 30) ZAYIN Rebot HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 26) PROXY Mk.2 Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 21) SAMEKH Rebot Smart Missile Launcher / Electric Pulse. (1.5 | 18) MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16) PROXY Mk.1 Engineer Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) PROXY Mk.5 (Forward Observer) 2 Submachine Guns, Nanopulser, E/M Grenades / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) NETROD . (0 | 4) NETROD . (0 | 4) NETROD . (0 | 4) YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) 6 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army Here I leave a shot of the deployment. Sadly is the only shot I took. Straight to the ball, my opponent won Ini roll and chose going first. He deployed one camo close to each panoply, netrods out of ldt except for one that fell in a roof and MK5,MK1 ans SM bot (that indicating a assault hacker device) in total cover centered in his DZ . After I deployed all my figures, he put a TR bot and the Marut over my right flank guarded by Achilles. He started with 1 coordinated order to close in both camo (naga), and put TR bot and Marut in position, then started plundering my troops, in two orders he downs a Thorakite FO and a netrod, take a shot over Machaon, thankfully saved by Eclipse smoke, and with the next 6 orders he murders Achilles and hides behind the central building with the gateway by my right panoply. How he could kill Achilles... Just because I didn't hide him. I FtF 4 or 5 orders against her, she was out of cover, I was shooting 1 at 18 against 4 at 15; not a very good position for Achilles, but she needed many orders to gun him down... Surely, after receiving 2 wound I should have hide him and let my opponent coming to my side. My first turn, 8 orders left. I need to pass with my link by a naga with mono mines that was discovered the turn before, so I put my dactyl to risk his pelt, he uses nanopulser to force dogged status in the naga. Bad decision, I should directly open with myrm chain and dual chain rifle him. It cost me 3 orders to kill him and put the link to move when I could do it in just two then Phoenix kills the TR bot and Hector starts a firefight with 4 order remaining against the Marut.... Just one order left, I'm unscathed and Marut down to a single wound. Should I shoot or should I hide? Caution ask for dug in and let him get close, but I risk the shoot just to eat it in the face. I lost the FtF and failed the 3 ARM rolls., at least his babysitting myrm is vaporized by the plasma template... Arg!!!! How badly I have played... If I was shooting, Phoenix should have risked the last shot, not Hector, whose lost put me in LoL or if I retreat, I still may keep 6 full orders (last thorakite and netrod were helpless) after his turn to chase down the Marut that is very exposed.... Opponent second turn, he recovers a wound of marut with mk1 via yudbot, kills Phoenix and thorakite with Marut and move mk5 to prevent Machaon closing the distance to the marut. My second turn. I'm in LoL and nearly in retreat, with my last two tokens convert to regulars the orders of dactyl and netrod, myrm chain surround marut and get one shot of chain rifle that wounds again the bigmamma, but don't reach close combat. His last turn is very short, tried to kill Machaon with mk5 but I hidden myself with V0 smoke. Then he killed the myrm chain with the other naga and SM bot and positioned the Marut over the antenna finishing with the MK5 in supressing fire. My last turn, In retreat without command tokens, first dactyl tryes gluing the mk5 but he missed (mk5 dodge so lost SF) and then Machaon tried to nanopulser Marut, that dodge the template away. Game over. 5-0 to my rival Conclusion, I have lost mainly due to 3 bad decisions with the only attenuating of have been consciously pushing my luck (although the last shot against Marut should be made by Phoenix not Hector, and I didn't notice it during the gameplay). I think the list have many points in favor just needs to be deployed with more precaution but after three games with it I'm confident in using it properly, so I will bring it to the Interplanetario and I still have a month to shine polishing it Again sorry for the long post, hope I wouldn't bore you too much and forgive my crappy English.
  11. Hi Phlyk How did the test go? I'll test again my BigTwo list tomorrow against a very experienced player in Show of force; if it goes well, it will be my list for ShOfF and Beheading. Yes, I will have to watch out the impact templates and the repeaters zone (a friend of mine told me about a very nasty list of nomads leaded by a strong player, full of repeaters and hackers). But it's a risk I will gladly take (and in the direst situation, I could run a myrmidon against the objetive to null it to my oponent and kill more points; preserving Achilles and Hector). Do you intend to take the two myrm links to firefight? How will you defend yourself against AD troops and infiltrating camos? With just 10 figures is very complicated covering AD spots and denying good positions for the camos to attack your links. Would you leave Phoenix and or Agemas Aroing? Thanks!
  12. The BigTwo list have been tested. Two rivals obliterated. Just conceded 2 thorakites, 1 netrod and the myrmidon chain. The main problem is the lack of a infiltrated khd like Naga or Dasyu, but this isn't Phalanx business. And there isn't room for Scylla neither she is the answer cause she has to travel a big distance to kill hackers. Against a heavy hack list (perhaps Nomads?) Or with big repeater coverage may have many troubles but with stealth they may try to sneak in and do their job. On thing to note; never leave a fig 2" close to another. My second rival, also with Phalanx, left Ájax surrounded by myrmis, noob fault. Phoenix did his magic and after 2 orders, they were wiped out. Curiously, Phoenix and Hector overshadowed Achilles. Hector murdered in Aro a Tohaa triad, surviving 3 burst of linked spitfire. And Phoenix always is a safe bet. I'm torn because I'm not sure if bring that list or replace Achilles with a thorakites link or even using Achilles V2. Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  13. Interesting method, definitely have to try the purple and orange priming. May I ask what brand of paints he uses? Are there any tutorial of his work. Thank you in advance. I almost use zenith priming everytime. Black, light grey from 35°-45° then white from 60-80°. Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  14. Last Wednesday I run two 3-myrm links; phoenix + 2 chain and machaon + spitfire + chain. Spitfire went down to a lucky crit and machaon got tangled and needed phoenix to save his ass. Long story short. Imho, optimal myrm link, two medium shooters a specialist plus mine detector, chain rifle I mean Enviado desde mi SM-J510FN mediante Tapatalk
  15. Ah, I didn't see that you also have a CoC officer. In that case I think one of each is right. About links, I agree even more that 4man are the way to go. Last Wednesday I used 2 3-man myrm links and they just didn't cut the spice. The moment one goes down or the spitfire gets a crit in the face, the link is nearly broken. Concerning Big Two list... I have used once in the past, yeah you can throw away Achilles and you "only" lost 75 points... The opponent still have to face Hector link. The soft parts are only 60 points so the opponent have to cut big parts to win points for decapitation, or show of force. I will do a little report on Sunday.
