  2. Because: AD is an unreliable skill. In the Yuan-yuans' case, it's wasted orders. Particularly so with Joan.
  3. You can deploy Yuan-yuans without AD as any normal trooper. AD is optional. With Joan boosting the order supply, I wouldn't reserve more than one or two Yuan-yuans for Airborne Deployment.

  5. Privileging a specific type of unit for objective points, which not all factions have access to, yes, is dumb. I am not aware of a disadvantage in the opposite direction, like some penalty for Light Infantry point value on Quadrant Control. Classifieds are dumb because they obviously exist to force diversity on lists, but the result is that they force the same kind of list over and over so that the player can cover all bases with a random draw. If classifieds were smart, the way that they would work is that you keep drawing until you draw classifieds that your list can legally complete.
  6. You shouldn't hear me defend those missions. I like the Fatality L1 boost and 10-man grip boost, both good for TAGs, but specially privileging a certain type of unit is dumb. The same reason some of the classifieds are dumb.
  7. Sukeul and Igao are scalpels, Scissors even. Ectros, Gorgos, Rasail, Sakiel, Gao-Tarsos are Rock. And we don't really have Paper.

What I would rather that Corvus Belli do is make skills like Regeneration as tantilizing as Mimetism, or equipment like Repeaters as tantilizing as sixth sense. Most balance issues in Infinity are not due to the abundance or constriction of certain stats, skills, and equipment, but to pricing. If Automedikit is worth more than Mimetism in points, it must be worth more than Mimetism in play, over the average of games. Now, that said, because JSA is (one of) the premier close combat factions, the delivery of that Close Combat should be readily available, which is why I suggested Smoke launchers. And of course there are other ways that that could be done. Super Jump Domaru, 6-4 Haramaki, etc. But the most reasonable and obvious to me is to put Smoke in the faction that is not restricted to special characters. And JSA can already do fire dominance quite well with Haramaki. Haramaki have given me more trouble than any PanO TAG ever has. They do not, in my view, need the equivalent of a Hac Tao to fill out the faction. There is also the point that Corvus Belli overvalues Close Combat in general: compare Dasyu to Ninja.
  9. I think most TAGs and bikes are rubbish, but you are welcome to envy them. Who wants a TAG when you have a Su-Jian?
  10. A tasteless sectorial with no good specialities and/or limitations. ISS and Corregidor are that. USArf and Acontecimento are nearly that. I don't want to see every sectorial be the same soup of Great Fireteam, Great HMG Platform, Great Lieutenant, Smoke, MSV2, Alpha Striker, Camo Infiltrator, Cheap Cheerleaders.
  11. 1-2 Kosuil Core fireteam with 3-4 Kaauri still makes the most sense to me. I gently cross my fingers for a Kosuil (Bioimmunity) revamp, because Sukeuls are a far better bargain. That fact combined with the Kosuil's Engineer status makes a Kaauri+Kosuil fireteam make sense. If Sukeuls get a special link, I expect it is with Druze, like the Crane leader and Celestial Guard or Hsien+Zhanying, as you say. That would be a cool way to get a "top tier" fireteam while still saddling the star BS16 Sukeul with human baggage. Will there be new Tohaa units? I expect at least a couple. I've shared my thoughts on how to diversify the faction before. But I am cynical. I do not expect much Tohaa given the "mercenaries plus some Tohaa" pitch. Corvus Belli seems to communicate, "Tohaa, your rules are good and you have your minis, buy another box of Kerails, because we are back to loving Yu Jing and Haqqislam now."
  12. No, JSA does not need to be yet another porridge sectorial with a fire superiority platform. You have CC superiority instead. It just needs good delivery beyond Ninjas and Shinobu. Hopefully the new unit is a mild unit with handy Smoke or Eclipse. Aragotos and Karakuri Haris profile getting Smoke Launcher would also complement the sectorial.
  13. I'm sure the reason is 99% to sell merc minis. There was a 2015 interview with Gutier where he said that the Exalted (Chaksa) sectorial was coming. Seems Tohaa weren't selling as well as they hoped, so they changed gears.
  14. The Shotgun Kotail, 2 Combi Kotail and Spitfire Kotail are all good interceptors and backfield killers. The problem is that Corvus Belli has given us more backfield killer options since the Kotails release: the Kerail, Rasail, and Igao. The Kotail cannot take Pheroware without the opportunity cost of his Holoprojector, but the Kerail and Rasail can. The Kotail does not have direct template weapons to deal with clusters and close combat, but the Kerail, Rasail, and Igao do. The Kotail has Super-Jump, but so does the Kerail, as well as 6-4 movement. The Kotail has 6-4 movement, but the Igao starts up the table with a proper Marker state. The Kotail's E/M Grenades are highly unique, but because so much K1, Breaker, AP SMG, and EXP Missile/Panzerfaust has been added to Tohaa, and that old Fireteam CC nerf was removed, the grenades are not as necessary as they once were. Super-Jump does not let you get cover while moving, but the Rasail on the other hand... When you look at the HMG Sukeul for the same cost and SWC as the Spitfire Kotail, you say to yourself... eh, probably better take the Sukeul. Especially since she likes Triads and Symbiomates. I think the Kotail is a great unit and fairly priced, but I do not think most of our other Symbionts are fairly priced, and you subconsciously know it, which is why the Kotail usually stays at home. The FO Kotail is a good option in any case.
