  1. Many thanks for the replies everyone, some good food for thought here. On balance I think I agree with Mahtamori regarding the weaponry. I must admit I tend to avoid minis with old style weaponry from any faction where there's been a redesign. Nomad combi rifles spring to mind as a good example. So far as the usefulness of rems goes I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet & buy a box in order to build the lists I want. My predilection for TR bots & the sheer utility of the Weibing are reason enough. I'm also encouraged that it may well just be the case that the paint job on the studios rems has been surpassed as the skills of the painters have improved over the years (wish I could say the same for mine). Unsurprising in that case that they don't look quite so good next to more recent minis.
  2. Hey everybody. As you might guess from the title I'm not totally sold on Yu Jing rems, specifically the models for the basic Yaokongs. I'm not quite sure what puts me off, whether it's the sculpts or the paint job (note I've not seen them in the flesh as it were) they just look less crisp than newer sculpts. I don't generally have such an issue with older sculpts per say. I have rems for Nomads, Haqq & Pan O & don't really have a problem with them though they are of similar vintage (so far as I know anyway). What I'm saying mainly is: Convince me. I generally use rems in most lists & am a big fan of TR HMG bots (despite their limitations), I don't really want to use rems from other factions so........are the Yaokong sculpts really that bad?
  3. Well I finally received my copy this morning, limited mini included. All is well. Still, it seems very odd that the release date was changed on their site & that my copy actually arrived before the revised date. I chose to order from Wayland as my preorder of Red Veil came from them without any problem whatsoever. I had of course heard of their reputation & have had some small experience of a delayed order previously (which ended in my choosing to cancel). I'm definitely going to have to think very carefully before preordering again through Wayland.
  4. So I called Wayland this morning & was told the release date was the 9th of December. My response was to tell the guy that it's already out & people are receiving their copies. Apparently their supplier has told them the 9th, but he couldn't help further as their buying team aren't in. Limited edition mini will be included he tells me, hope he's right. The buying team should be back Monday if I want to speak to them. I'm wondering what's going on in their supply chain tbh. Not overly concerned about a 2 week delay, but it does seem strange. Meanwhile I'm resisting the temptation to take to ebay to secure the mini, though I'm conscious that if my copy doesn't have one it may be harder to find.
  5. Thanks for replying. Looks like I'll have to call them tomorrow then. Really don't want to miss out on the preorder mini.
  6. So I preordered Angels book from Wayland in the UK, checked a couple of days ago & the countdown indicated it should be released today. Just checked my order & it seems no stock has been allocated let alone dispatched & the countdown now indicates release in about 2 weeks. Anyone in the UK received theirs yet & has anyone else ordered from Wayland? Just looking for any clues about what is going on.
  7. Hey everyone. Just messing around with army trying to come up with a good Yu Jing list for button pushing type ITS missions. Here it is, any input appreciated. Yu Jing ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 110 SHIKAMI Contender, Nimbus Grenades / Assault Pistol, DA CCW, AP CCW, Knife. (0 | 45) HSIEN Lieutenant HMG, Nanopulser / Pistol, AP CCW. (2 | 61) GŬILÁNG (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27) NINJA Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Tactical Bow / Pistol, DA CCW, Knife. (0 | 29) RUI SHI Spitfire / Electric Pulse. (1 | 20) KEISOTSU (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) KEISOTSU Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) KEISOTSU Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) KEISOTSU Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) CELESTIAL GUARD Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 21) GROUP 22 IMPERIAL AGENT (Chain of Command) Red Fury / Pistol, DA CC Weapon. (1 | 35) HÙSÒNG Yaókòng HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army Broad idea is that the Pheasant allows me to use a more aggressive Lt. Namely the Hsien. Guilang & Ninja would be main button pushers in addition to Shikami. Keisotsu are standard order-monkeys & CG hacker is for supportware on the REMs.
  8. Ordered Studio B direct along with the Kum garage as a treat to myself. In the UK & it's difficult to find Warsenal stuff in stores here very often. Very happy with the result, absolutely beautiful looking scenery. Even happier with Warsenals customer service & communication. Minor problem with shipping was sorted out very quickly through FB messenger. Many thanks guys.
  9. Just received my copy in the UK, ordered direct from CB. Ridiculously happy now.
  10. OK. No worries Cho. Thanks for responding so quickly.
  11. If there's any chance of the CG from the old vanilla Yu Jing starter I'd be interested.
  12. Many thanks for looking BaleWolf. Sadly their store lists it as unavailable to order (even saying that production may have ceased).
  13. No one? Even a european stockist would do perhaps. As long as delivery to the UK is possible & not prohibitively expensive.
  14. Aha. So at least they're still being produced then. Looking at the shipping cost ordering direct would be rather expensive. Cheapest option for delivery to the UK is almost as much as the item itself. Does anyone know of UK stockists that have them? Most that I use simply list them as unavailable.
  15. Hi all. I'm in the UK & cannot find the Kum garage available anywhere. Is it still available?
