  1. I think they have something like an office joke about how many Bolts they can make us buy. And the worst thing is they will always win because Ill buy them just for their look
  2. Gonna second that. I had that vibe ever since the recent Nisse models. I know we got a reputation as the squeaky wheel here but honestly as someone who has 3 of the factions released here I'm still feeling like Pan O is getting trolled at this point. A new sculpt for the weapon we already have on a Swiss with still not Swiss or Hexa Hacker which are models people play all the time. (also another sword on a ranged model but that's a pet peeve of mine I know tastes differ here). A Kamau with an HMG sounds like the last thing anyone would take in a Vanilla list and if it's for Varuna it should be in their box. And last but not least another bloody Bolt. I'm getting Bolts thrown at me for three from people who have the NCA box because nobody wants them to start with. I would say people would have liked if that had instead been a Bolt engineer but ever since they showed they'd rather invent a new rule than give us a second one of those that hope has died. At this point they're really just rubbing it in.
  3. Im sure there are official propaganda officers or some such Warcor equivalent in ISS.
  4. The Swiss Guard, both the HMG and the Assault Hacker. Nothing quite sells the "smash right through your face with superior gear" flair of Pan Oceania to me better than these dudes and dudettes.
  5. Jumping a controlled Tag to death from a building seems very much in character for the game. Just jumping straight up and dying from the fall of your own jump on the other hand just seems way too silly.
  6. Do hacker (or anyone else) make a willpower check after saving against a hacking attack or losing a wound due to it? We just had this come up in a game there someone wanted to use this to step out of repeater range after having survived the first attack from a Killer Hacker.
  7. Mayacast folks kindly pointed me to the right passage in case it comes up for anyone else Pairings for the first Tournament Round are assigned at random. From the second Tournament Round on, a Swiss system is used. Players are ranked according to their Tournament Points scores, and ties are broken by comparing accumulated Objective Points scores. If the tie persists, compare the players’ accumulated Victory Points and, if this fails to break the tie, the total Objective Points from all their previous opponents in the tournament. Once all players are ranked, opponents are assigned in descending order of ranking (first against second, third against fourth, etc.).
  8. Our group is in the middle of a little discussion since we plan to run a tournament this fall and some of us want to find a way to create pairings that will keep people who registered as a group from having to play each other. Now my understanding was that with the swiss System used here the player with the highest current points count faces the one with the second highest and so on and so on. Someone else thinks it is just players face other players with the same number of rounds won, with the exact score not being relevant. So pairings in a second and third game could be shuffled around to prevent people from the same club to have travelled just to face each other. X Can anyone clear this up or even better let me know there exactly that is regulated?
  9. Right? This profile is actualy useful for my lists. But it doesnt change the fact that coming up with army wide buffs and a new special rule just to avoid a second engineer for Pan O is GW levels of bad game design. Im very worried about this direction.
  10. Im gonna do it you hear me? Gecko Duo and Iguana. They called me mad but none of them can stop me! Okay so maybe I just need a list to start out with that only needs a minimum of models to paint. 11. Absolutely love the suggestion of being able to spend a command token for a single coordinated order to put units in suppresive fire instead of taking two orders from the other player. It would let me get my defensive units how I need them Set up even if it would work just for units in my deployment zone. Id prefer to be able to do this and Id rather play against it if I have first turn. It feels way more integrated into the army instead of just punishing single combat group lists.
  12. So you like me as they are, except they aren't worth their cost and even the wishfull cheaper price would still be too much. I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure you don't like them all that much; )
  13. Im not someone asking for smoke in Pan O and I personally don't even care much for eclipse but Im in favor of any idea that might give Bolts a reason to see the table. They are hot garbage and the "you just need to use them right" arguement never held water for me. That's the sort of excuse I get in badly designed games I left for Infinity. And it's usually so good about it that I just have higher standards for it. I don't need to discuss why someone would use Wildcats or in our own faction Bag Mari. Sure you need to learn to use things right but you can also see what gear someone brings to the table for their points. Those guys scream for some special options and a bloody engineer at least. I have to ask with the Nisse being basically a worse Intruder how is it balanced with not having smoke? Konstantinos maybe but he's an extra special Dire Foes dude, if he's the problem change him. In general Im moving away from Visors since it feels like you pay through the nose for an item that is sometimes good but also a weakness (Albedo, White Noise). And we lack the means to create situations that make them useful. Doesnt have to be smoke. Something like being able to create some 2 turn nimbuszones would be cool. Or just make the dumb things cheaper. A visor in a faction that can support it is just way better and I don't see them paying extra. If anything the Visor Deva is my own go to option for a reasonably affordable visor in NCA.
  14. If I use a Tag I try to always also have a Killer Hacker to say hi to the people who might try to steal it. And I'd probably go for Tomcat Enginner to be able to deploy it right there my first Tag goes down? Just an idea really. I could not make a two Gecko list work for me yet. But two intruders definatly seemd a bit like a luxury if you already have a 100 points in bulky bros.
  15. While I agree that they seem to be a natural fit for Nomads, they already have all the things they offer. If we even got so much as access to a pitcher that would be a huge deal though. I can absolutely see me taking all three of these guys in a NeoTerra Drone heavy force.
