I think it's wrong to compare links between different sectorials; Bagh Mari probably are "better" than Bolts, but you can't pair them with aquila or swiss, you got no visor 2 (only teucer), you don't have access to tocamo in Acontecimento, nor to a orc haris. I think the real problem with Bolts comes from the comparison with fusiliers, not from the Bolts itself. But Fusiliers don't have EM grenades, drop bears bears, shotguns (well Bipandra...); those things give you versatility, and you pay for it. But a grenade in speculative on 11 in the middle of a HI link, or near a tag can really change a game. A drop bear shooted inside a room or dropped near a corner too... they're "immune" to emarats, em ammo, jammers... If you find the way to get use of that versatility you'll appreciate them, if you want the link only for +3 bs then get fusiliers, they shoot the same and cost less.
  4. Wow let's complain a bit We shoot better. But Aleph also shoots bs 15, even through smoke. But YJ shooth with bs 14 hsien linked through smoke. We are best tags. But the stronger tags are Maruts and Avatar (and wip 13 ancillary unit). And we dcan't link tags like onyx. To camo/odd...we don't have posthumans 2wounded tocamo hackers wip 15 for 21 pts. Nor we have a s2 ODD "tag" (Achilles). (and we don't have cheap camotroopers like ariadna/haqq.) Lots of visors: Nisse is one of the typical considered "strong" troops...but is outclassed by intruder. (and we see only through other's smoke so we can't get the best use of it, in that sense Haqqislam "shoots better" than us) No white noise even if we are "Hyperpower". No expendable troopoers, moto, cheap para for asymmetrical trading. Albedo for a joke not on the sniper friar profile, (he changes weapon and changes maybe clothes and underwear ); mrifle is a reeeaally good profile but mov 4-2 range 16"can't get really the best use of albedo. (someone has an albedo sniper tag...)

Bahram is strong, but no visor 2, same for Bakunin; against heavy smokers army that can be a serious problem (dogs?).
  6. I find Knauf having no sense in PanO, but in Haqq can be good, due to the Multi ammo+ shock and bs 13, thing not so common in this faction. Bs 13 mimetism, visor and stong ammo in good; lasiq is strong, but suffers a lot enemy's mimetism/ODD/Tocamo, govad has no mimetism, etc... The thing is that I really don't like MSV 1 visors on snipers: in my meta there's a lot of White Noise, and obviously smoke, so i'ts so easy to outshhot him using one or another... Msv 2 protects from smoke combo (and movements), "no-visors" is immune to white noise and costs normally less, but msv1...? Sure he is worth to give a try, must be well deployed
  7. Nomads liutenents interventor/fusilier on a rooftop, even better a kusanagi (but more orders), linked snipers, TO freaks, remotes or superspecialists like combined drworm... Spec fire on them, then go for your play...worth using 2-4 orders in my opinion It's not about killing the entire army with spec fire, that would be VERY order unefficient.

  9. Mech deploy on a 2wound knight 14 bs is not bad! Speculative grenades kills fusiliers liutenents (or analogue) on rooftops, tosnipers (each dodging at-3), t.r. rem (-6), EVO, bad deployed linkteams... You move and shoot directly in deploy, speculative at 11, that's awesome. then you go and kill with bs 14 combi or lrl. better if deployed in reserve with surprise and going first. Almost obligatory tonpair him with peacemaker and hacker support...
  10. But...PanO did need that? Sure can be useful in a joan list, but outside that I don't know Tohaa delegate have nanopulser and wip 13 flashpulse. Well now the crabbot is wip 11 and machinist wip 13 - WOW

Though it would be nice an eclipse on Bolts, I think their worst thing is not lack of options (the drop bear itself gives a lot of opportunity for problem solving, the same for e/m grenades, for the rest there is BS 13 +3+3, or light shotgun 13+6+3= 22), but the lack of movement. They are mostly effective in midfield (bears and speculative E/M must be thrown in 8", spitfire range is for midfield), but it costs a lot to go there beacuse of 4-2. Imagine Muyibs, one of the most versatile link in the game, with movement 4-2...(they are FALSE light infantries :-) Though normal smoke appears stronger than eclipse, for the combo smoke+ msv2, I think in reality eclipse are stronger, especially for PanO: we already have the needed shooting power where needed; it's better to put a smoke template where noone can see through, msv or not! That's gold for getting objectives and advance getting rid of aro pieces one by one.

I would build the 2 tournament lists in m.o. essetially this way: - List 1: Core of order sergeants(with linked hrr) + Seraph + other things (sergent TOf.o., Bulletteer, Friar...) - List 2: Core of Hi: 2Hospitaller+ magisters (or other including Defern/Joan) + things There are some units that you need in PanO, non only for military orders: Bulleteers, Dronbot remotes, Support pack (especially engineer), Black Friar, Mulebots Then for m.o. I'd Buy the magisters box (you'll use 3 paired with hospitallers), the 2 hospitallers (sword and HMG), sergeants box (now in preorder) I would'n buy M.O. starter for the way I play: never used Teuton, never used TOsniper, magister you get 4 in the box and you will use mostly 3... that's not a rule but what comes from my experience.   14. But I think the question is not between "it's good" or "it's bad", all FK are good, and FK ML has things to say, that's for sure, and can be a pain. But i prefer to give him a spitfire to get better use of that 14 bs, go midfield and get use his insane BTS (that's true even for hacker) or even cc if needed. I said many times "let's try him"...but everytime I ended choosing other things. Maybe if CB would make a cool model will be one of my first choiches
  15. That's good advice, but then verstility goes away even more...I'm still not convinced Maybe I should try him on the field. Take in comparison the AL Fasid in Haqqi: both are ARO "big" pieces, HRL is not ML, but is paired with smg (suppressive ap/shock), ss1, mines/minelayer...even with mov 4-2 there's a lot of versatility tahat I don't find in fk.
