Well it's been a while since I posted, sadly I got waylaid by a pretty nasty virus and was feeling totally unable to paint or do much of anything for close to 8 days - taking away all the time I set aside for the Pan O'! As it is I'm behind on just about everything as a result However I did manage to get the Nomads and that Orc finished in time to bring my total to 5 for the month. Hopefully I'll be able to take some better photos later. Thanks for the effort guys and I look forward to next month
  2. @Pride of Rodina Thanks for that info. I might hold back a little or just proxy the Kazaks in the meantime. I admit the sculpts did put me off the Veterans a bit. As it is my wallet's tied up until the end of the month at least - which makes me sad I am reading through your blog and tacticas though, so thank you for those! I also need new paints and basing stuff for them, so it won't be a cheap project for me. Thanks for your help and I hope that at least my painting makes you proud

I spent a couple of minutes fleshing it out to 300 to include the Dog Soldiers, I think it's OK. The groups might have to be altered a touch but I'm pretty happy to proceed with this list in mind.   6. I'd say she was looking better, certainly not worse at any rate, especially with the gun painted, but it's hard to see from the photos. I think the green looks better, particularly the holster. I also think being on her base will help a lot with the overall look. Either way I think it's pretty solid work

  8. I managed to start downshading the ORC today. I think I missed a trick and should have done another transition of blue/blue green but I think he's looking good enough for my first Pan O attempt. I have no idea if I'll be able to finish all my pledge as it's pretty time-consuming stuff but we'll see. I have De Fersen and the HMG Aquila on order to finish off the Icestorm set to 300pts, so I may add one of them to the pledge next week.

It's mostly based on what minis are more easily available, bar the Devil Dog with Chain Rifle. A Tank Hunter would have been fun to add, I guess it's more than possible if you take Dog Warriors over the Devil's. I guess I should do a French based list at some point just to even it up a bit
  11. @MATRAKA14 You're right in that it's been well established that a dog focused list is neither competitive nor efficient; but it'll look good losing well, like a militant Crufts Besides if you did manage to pull off a win with such a list then your opponent has eternal ignominy for being beaten by a pack of mangy, roid-raged canines. The pressure to not lose to such a furry force of fury may get to them, mistakes could be made. What other range of models could you call good boys/girls after they tear an enemy limb from limb? I think there's positives to be had
  12. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. The groupings is more me being lazy in bed and using my Kindle more than anything else, it's really hard to drag stuff across. The only time I manage it is by accident I'm more of a fun sort, competitive efficiency tends to take 2nd place to theme/subjectively cooler looking models. As it is I'm trying to find time/people for a game. I've a few options so we'll see, as it is I'm happy enough to think and tinker in my brain. I drew up an all Caledonian list, which is like half dog more than full dog but is more practically focused on what's available to buy. I based it off the starter set and added in all the not quite dogs I could. I love Infinity Army btw. It's such a great tool to use, it makes you wonder why other games don't have a similar thing. I've come across your blog before on my Infinity travels, I've much to read yet but I thank you for it @Koin-Koin In general I'd say your base coats look solid. I like the middle guys skin very much and the backpacks look great. I think the female's warmer skin tone kind of blends in with her brown hair limiting focus a little bit, but that's subjective. I would say you could perhaps do with more focused shading in the deeper recesses & the transitions between colours/objects. For example I'd try a darker brown shade for the mid-brown and for the darker brown and green either a much darker black/brown or even a dark brown/purple mix. Don't shade the whole area, thin your paint enough so you can see through it on your thumbnail, don't have too much on your brush and focus on the recessed lines, letting the paint do the work. It should make what you've already done more defined and may take a couple of applications. That's what I'd do anyway. I hope this helps! @Mob of Blondes Thanks for that. I already have a photo booth to help diffuse light but I could do with new lamps as I broke one and they're fairly cheap.   15. I'm new to the game (in fact I've not got a game in yet) but I love list building and I love themes. I also love dogs. So for fun I started by taking as many as possible in a vanilla list and filling in the blanks afterwards. My thoughts were chaos and confusion and long range support while the dogs ran up and ate stuff. Naturally I couldn't fit everything in (a sniper would have been nice and is certainly possible).
