  1. All this is true, but you are paying points for it. The AL Fasid obviously does a lot more than the Druze, but is also far more expensive. An extra 30pts and 1.5 swc. That's a whole other MI model you can include! The Muyibs are very comparable. The Lt option adds an extra swc cost though. Even the non Lt. pays an extra .5 for that smoke. The Muyibs have Dogged but have slightly lesser defensive stats than the Druze to begin with. Plus the Druze come with an XVisor, which is really nice for the LGL or Spitfire versions. The Hunzakut is really nice and is much cheaper than any of our previous options. It infiltrates and has camo. It's obviously much more fragile though and is irregular. I confess I've never taken the LGL Hunzakut as I always go straight for the FO option. All this to say, any place you are thinking of using a Muyib you could easily use a Druze instead and not really miss out on much.
  2. I would really like to have a Daylami box and some new Halqa models I could actually buy!
  3. I'm not always concerned with hiding my Lt. Sometimes having an Lt. that can get stuff done is nice. Don't be afraid to spend that order and give away who that Lt. is. Especially when you can back him up with a Farzan.
  4. Also keep in mind that super jump allows you to not only get up to high places, but you can deploy him in an elevated place and easily get him down when it's time to move. I tend to get him into position somewhere and go into suppression fire. Also don't forget the grenades! Super jump to a good location and speculative fire some grenades down on your opponent's heads! He's got PH 13, so you could be hitting on 10, not bad. His bioimmunity can keep him up vs shock and viral and his BTS 3 helps tank those shots. If you need to tie up a unit he's not bad in close combat either. An AP CCW and poison means the enemy is rolling an armour save and BTS save on every hit. He's got no martial arts though so don't put him against another CC specialist. Lastly there is a Lt option and I think he makes a pretty good choice.
  5. He also pairs well with a Tuareg doctor. Charge Tarik up a flank, your opponent thinks he's finally put him down...nope. Out pops a Wip 15 doctor to bring him right back up! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
  6. I think we are in agreement. Haha. I think Infinity is complex and I actually like that about the game. It is my favorite minis game right now. I was just trying to say that I can see why some people find it too complex. Especially if you are a casual player. If you are only getting like three games in a month it can feel overwhelming every time you play. But yeah, sticking to 150 - 200 points for a majority of your games in that case is very helpful. Just playing the Icestorm/RV scenarios over and over helps a lot.
  7. I like Infinity a lot. It is complicated, but I like that. And I'm a casual player. On the other hand, saying Infinity isn't that complicated because you just need to have a laptop/tablet with three different windows open (Army Builder, Wiki, and Hacker Helper) sort of runs counter to your point.
  8. Is it just me or is it no longer possible to save army lists as pdfs any more using the army builder?
  9. I think you could add Tarik Mansuri to that list, and Khawarij to a lesser extent. They have great mobility with super jump. Their CC and PH is good. Plus they have Poison, so any hit is also going to involve an extra BTS roll.
  10. Not that I can see.
  11. I find them most useful for going after TO units. My Fidays tend to have a bad habit of failing to kill the easiest targets though. Twice I've lost a Fiday in CC on a surprise attack against a damned Auxilia due to Crits. Another time Al'Dabel died to the crit from a Swiss Guard. The Dice God is a fickle bastard,
  12. Actually had a succesful game last week playing Frontline. Tarik and a Rifle Lasiq went up one flank together to take out an Asura Hacker, Dakini Tacbot, and Devabot. He had a TR bot and Asura with a spitfire, and one of the camo snipers on a roof (I forget which) on the other side of the board. I couldn't dislodge the sniper until the last turn when I got my own Djan sniper in place. Never got much done against the Asura or TR bot, but they couldn't get forward either, so I ended up winning by a few points. Edited to add the list I used: Haqqislam ────────────────────────────────────────────────── Group 1 5 3 2 DJANBAZAN Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 31) DJANBAZAN Hacker (Hacking Device) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 35) HUNZAKUT (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (18) GHULAM Doctor Plus (MediKit) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (16) NASMAT Electric Pulse. (3) LASIQ Viral Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (26) MUYIB (Minelayer) Rifle + Light Shotgun, D.E.P. E/Mauler / Pistol, Knife. (23) MUTTAWI'AH Chain Rifle, E/Marat, Jammer / Pistol, Knife. (5) MUTTAWI'AH Chain Rifle, E/Marat, Jammer / Pistol, Knife. (5) Group 2 4 0 0 FARZAN (Chain of Command) Boarding Shotgun, Contender / Pistol, Knife. (31) SHIHAB REMOTE HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) LASIQ Viral Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 26) TARIK MANSURI Lieutenant Spitfire, Nanopulser, Grenades / Pistol, DA CCW. (2 | 56) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open with Army 5
  13. It certainly does!
  14. I think I would rather take the Govad sniper over the Lasiq Sniper. But I prefer the Lasiq Rifle profile over the sniper profile anyway. The Govad's Missile Launcher profile is also worth a look, even in Vanilla. It's the only place we get a missile launcher with a visor. Plus he has a shotgun if things get up close. The Jannisary could maybe be a better platform, but it is more expensive in points and SWC, has no close range weapon, and no visor.
  15. I constantly have trouble going up against my friends Aleph armies. It feels like I just never have the tools to deal with all the TO models and tough NWI Asuras. We tend to play ITS missions, but we aren't going to tournaments or anything, So I guess I simply have trouble moving around the board with TO snipers an hackers to deal with plus the MSV of his Asura and/or Deva. What can I do/use to make sure I hit these guys in the first place and when I do make sure they go down?
