  1. So I'm running JSA once in a while, I've tried bikers a lot after buying them, I'm really bad with them, but the models are awesome! On the side of my bikes I've put some domarus and I have to admit those are very good, and we are planning a weekend long event with my mates so I'm getting the most lists ready! We play its and 20x20, smoke/msv is very present in our group (sadly). So I've thought of bringing a domaru duo, a shikami and i don't really know how to fill the rest ? I don't care about having a lot of HI hackables because my mates rarely use hacking, and there's no hacker that can frighten me when I can assault their face So those are the kind of lists I end up with : Au casse-pipe! ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 9 1 OYAMA Lieutenant Chain Rifle, E/M Grenades / Breaker Pistol, AP CCW, EXP CCW. (0 | 28) DOMARU Chain Rifle, E/M Grenades / Pistol, E/M CCW. (0 | 25) KARAKURI (Fireteam: Haris) Combi Rifle, Chain Rifle, D.E.P. / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 36) KARAKURI Heavy Shotgun, Chain Rifle, D.E.P. / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 35) KARAKURI Mk12, Chain Rifle, D.E.P. / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 40) SHIKAMI Contender, Nimbus Grenades / Assault Pistol, DA CCW, AP CCW, Knife. (0 | 45) RAIDEN (Minelayer, X Visor) Heavy Rocket Launcher, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 21) RAIDEN (Minelayer, X Visor) Heavy Rocket Launcher, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 21) RAIDEN (Minelayer, X Visor) Heavy Rocket Launcher, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 21) MIYAMOTO MUSHASHI Chain Rifle, Flash Pulse / Pistol, AP CCW, EXP CCW. (0 | 24) 5 SWC | 296 Points Open in Infinity Army The goal here is to hit hard and have a strong karakuri team that can make objectives that the shikami won't get. This will be very starved on orders, but on limited insertion it could shine. The raidens will protect the DZ of course. JSA ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 17 DOMARU Spitfire / Pistol, E/M CCW. (2 | 38) OYAMA Lieutenant Chain Rifle, E/M Grenades / Breaker Pistol, AP CCW, EXP CCW. (0 | 28) SHINOBU Combi Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, Monofilament CCW. (0.5 | 47) SHIKAMI Combi Rifle / Pistol, DA CCW, AP CCW, Knife. (0 | 47) RAIDEN (Minelayer, X Visor) Heavy Rocket Launcher, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 21) RUI SHI Spitfire / Electric Pulse. (1 | 20) TOKUSETSU EISEI Doctor (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 14) YÁOZĂO Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) GROUP 25 KEISOTSU Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 11) KEMPEI (Chain of Command) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, CCW, Electric Pulse. (0 | 21) YURIKO ODA Combi Rifle, Panzerfaust, D-Charges, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 24) KEISOTSU Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 17) KEISOTSU Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 9) 5.5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army This one has more orders though the groups aren't well made I guess, more specialists (at least in types). This one has smoke and msv2 though I could change the rushui for a lu duan that would holo as a RU shui to brain fuck.(though pretty useless I guess). I maybe would put shinobu as LT, infiltrate her and alpha on the first turn but I admit in all my bike fun I never used oniwabans... What would you suggest?
  2. So I'm a newbie/veteran just getting back into the game seriously after about a year off to have a kid. I'm currently playing Vanilla YJ, but am madly in love with 98% of the JSA so I am starting to try and list build for the sectorial. My question at the moment revolved around Neko and a Domaru link. I absolutely love the Domaru and Neko specifically, in trying to work them in a list though I've tried a couple different things that I am not sure I am entirely happy with. Option 1 - A Duo fireteam with Neko and a spitfire Domaru: This is obviously the most economical of the two options, and I envision it running across the field supported by a strong ARO Haramaki 2x missile team and under Yojimbo smoke (or Saito, or even Kitsune) Option 2 - A full 5 man Neko, spitfire Domaru, 2x missile Haramaki and 1x cheapo Haramaki: Expensive, and I am torn because the Haramkai missile launchers want to be in the back making everyone's life miserable, but my Domarus want to be rolling up under smoke to eviscerate the enemy. I sort of envision a Domaru-centric list focusing heavily on a "Alpha Strike" style as mentioned in the tactica by The Dude, but I also feel like it takes quite a few orders to get some Domaru up the field and leaves them not enough killing orders to be super effective. So, after that long winded rambling post, anyone have any feedback on how they made Domaru a central, and functional part of an ITS list? Thanks!
  3. Hey guys, today i found myself buffled by something: What happens if a Domaru Butai Lieutenant successfully hits another unit in close combat with its EM/2 CCW? Does the enemy unit need to roll 2 normal ARM rolls and 2 BTS rolls on half value or what?
  4. So! Ive thought about this for a while: In anchient Japan, when it was in great civil war, The Samurai, Noble warriors, would Adorn their armor, in many colors! each armor costum designed and painted, to tell each warrior from eachother. Different from each family. My idea for the Modern Samurai (infinity years) they all hail from different Families, but are still, 2nd rank citizens of the Yu Jing! Each each family, with a warrior in their linage, would want an armor, tailor made for maximum prowess in combat, and ofcourse to show their familys honor should a heroic moment arise! I would assume that the state empire wouldnt just hand over a suit of power armor to any one, even noble families of the Nipponese. Therefore each family would have to purchase a set of armor and painted in the regiments colors he belongs to, the military code would probably want! so you can tell who is who on the battlefield. But to distinguish each warrior from eachother, instead of just names engraved on it, it would be hard spot who does what, when the fires of combat is in full blaze! Thats why each family has the armors tassets made specifically for the warrior who holds the armor! I have made a little photoshop file, where you can switch out colers on the armor. And ofcourse the tasset, wether its just painted differently or has given a pattern to give it some extra depth! (((This is all pure headcanon, nothing more))) Heres a few examples: Have to figure out how to put the file up somewhere, but let me know if your interrested in the file!
  5. Been slowly moving into Vanilla from JSA and I'm curious as to opinions on the Heavy Infantry options under 50. The guys over 50 all have really differentiating roles and skills as outlined by Penemue a while ago, while the cheaper dudes are decidedly less so. The Haramaki and Domaru, minus the latter's combi and spitfire profiles, are pretty distinct due to the off the wall loadouts. Where do the Karakuri, Wu Ming, Zuyong, and Shang Ji fit into this?
  6. So the new profile for the Domaru is out! what actually changed? I see they got Kinematika lvl 1. eh and ofcourse the spitfire, option to take a Combi rifle~ and a little increase in costs? https://www.facebook.com/CorvusBelli/?fref=nf
  7. Hey guys! Can anyone point me to a chart or rule that explicity states what's affected by E/M ammonition. The other day I was running an JSA list with Haramaki link against Aleph and, because of range bands, I opted regularly to go for the one-of blitzen shot. Despite being succesful a couple times we had our doubts on wether it affected Visors, ODD, weapons (and which ones). I recall that, in N2, visors and weapons such as Combi Rifle could get fried and rendered unusable. There was even an list which stated what was and was not affected by E/M... but I can't seem to find any such information under N3 rules.
  8. Hi Team, I'm starting to find more time to get back in to painting, so, having bought some JSA minis 18 months ago, I'm finally getting around to painting them! I have about 20 figs, and am hoping to spend the coming weeks working my way through them. Based on my rate below, I should be able to get a couple done every week (I quite like painting them in similar pairs, as it means I can keep working whilst something dries), so there should be fairly regular updates to this thread (for the next few months at least!). These are the first miniatures I've painted in probably 12 months, and are actually the very first Infinity miniatures I have ever painted, having come from a Warhammer 40K background. I had a good time painting these guys; much more of a test than I'm used to. I don't consider myself a strong painter, but I won't improve unless I practice. I welcome encouragement, tips, advice, and constructive criticism. So, three Keisotsu Butai! Black primer, dark grey base, black wash, dark grey highlight, light grey highlight, white highlight. Light grey 'glaze' all over to try to tone down the white, then two black washes on the trousers to darken and contrast with the armour. Ceramic colour with minor metallics on the guns, black wash, base colour touch up and a green HUD. Faces are faces, auxiliary weapons are washed browns, and red acts a spot colour. Have at it! This final picture shows what's next on the table. Keisotsu HMG and a Kempetai. Both are primed black, dark grey undercoat, black wash, ready for the 3 stages of highlights listed above. I don't really like the rules for the Kempetai, but think the model looks ok, so I'm thinking to proxy it as Spec Ops.
  9. So, Takeshi is finally out, but haven't changed at all. He's still close combat berserker. Do you plan to field him? What's the best size of his link in your opinion? What kind of support will this link require to be successful?
