  1. Hello. From Time to time i'll be dumping my miniatures here. I hope you like them or have some critique . I got red veil through the warcors program. I'll be painting Yu Jing next.
  2. Recently I've been trying to paint some haqqislam miniatures as well as some space marines. Every scheme I come up with just doesn't satisfy me, I get so annoyed as I try paint scheme after paint scheme and make no progress. Everything I paint just makes me want to toss in the towel. Any suggestions for getting out of a painting funk?
  3. Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to the game, so I'm building up my first army...and here are the results so far: Khawarij (probably will use as Lasiq) Hawwa Khawarij & Hawwa Nasmat WIP I'd love to hear comments! Next I'm ordering an Asawira and pair of Ragiks, and will be converting the non-HMG one into a Fiday.
  4. Hello everyone. I want to show some of my painted models, what I'm especially proud of. You an also check out my blog: http://greenmetalsoldiers.blogspot.ru/ It's russian, so not everyone able to read it, but there are many decent photos to look at.
  5. Hello haqqislamite friends. I have a game in a few weeks and I'd love to get feedback on a list. The mission is supplies, playing 400 pts with spec ops. There's low visibility on the whole map but only above ground level. Parachuters suffer a -3 to their roll but can try to fall anywhere on the ground. This is my list: Suministros ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 17 2 1 GHULAM Doctor Plus (MediKit) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) DJANBAZAN HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 35) DJANBAZAN Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 31) HUNZAKUT (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 18) TUAREG Doctor Plus (MediKit) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 33) SHIHAB REMOTE HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) FANOUS REMOTE Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) ÁYYĀR (Surprise Shot L2) Shock Marksman Rifle / 2 Viral Pistols, CCW, Knife. (0 | 39) NASMAT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) MUTTAWI'AH Chain Rifle, E/Marat, Jammer, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 5) GROUP 26 2 1 MUTTAWI'AH Chain Rifle, E/Marat, Jammer, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 5) HUSAM Spec-Ops (12 XP) (BS:14, Specialist Operative) Rifle, Light Shotgun, Viral Sniper / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) HUNZAKUT (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Rifle + Light Shotgun, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 18) RAGIK Spitfire / Pistol, CCW. (1.5 | 32) LASIQ Viral Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 25) SALADIN Lieutenant Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 36) HAWWA' Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 26) GOVAD HMG / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 29) 8 SWC | 400 Points Open in Infinity Army Hawwa, hunzakuts and touareg are there to go for the objectives or make them difficult to access, depending on who goes first. These I think are the most important assets in the list, and I don't want to remove them unless by other troops that can cover the same role. Govad and both djambas can ignore the low visibility and try to cover the coffins from good spots. Lasiq and shihab will provide support from the ground. All these 5 elements can be used both as ARO and active assets depending on opportunity. Ragik can try to intercept a troop holding a supply, or park nearby on a bottle neck on suppression fire. Ayyar doesn't have a particular role, but he can fulfill several roles in this mission and that makes him very good to close gaps in the plan when my units start dying. Muttas are there to protect my deployment initially, to combo with the djambas, and to provide smoke to anyone running with a supply marker. Viral sniper spec ops pretends to be saladdin but at some point can appear and surprise someone. Only active till he's discovered, otherwise it'd be too obvious. Tempted to remove the sniper rifle that he might not use at all and give him chain of command, that'd make him the perfect double of saladin I love the sniper viral rifle for 0 cap though. Stuff I'm missing: - normal hacker to boost the TR bot. - second nasmat - more regular orders Right now I have 13 regular and 4 irregular orders, I've never played with so many irregulars. I'd love to find a way to raise it to 14 or 15 regulars, even 16, while keeping the irregulars. This involves removing one of the heavy hitters and getting kameels, naffatuns or ghulams to provide cheaper orders. Specially the touareg and the ragik are each taking an order away from their groups, and that can give me a weak first turn. However if my opponent gets first turn and steals one or more supply crates the ragik can be key in turning the situation. I have 2 viral snipers, a MSV2 sniper, 3 HMGs and a spitfire as main killers, both in active and reactive. Maybe it's too much? Specially in this mission where 8 points are dependent on the main objectives and they require plenty of orders themselves (to open the containers and run with the crates, or pursue runners). The groups I've posted have not been very well thought of in composition, all I know is I want to make them more or less even, and saladin and the spec ops must be in the same group so that it doesn't become obvious who is the real saladin. I'm playing against tohaa so I guess the assault hacker is not really important in itself...I made him hacker to include the REMs and because he can accomplish more secondaries that way. But if I found a way to include a barid or ghulam hacker instead I wouldn't mind downgrading him to FO. So that's the list, any insight or advice is appreciated. And remember "Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration."
  6. We've been investigating the possibility of doing the next dropship in injection plastic but unfortunately the numbers simply do not add -up. As such this will be going ahead in resin, and we're just signing the contract with the same 3D developer who did the Azure Dragon, to work on the ROC. Its going to take around 3 months form now, as we go through the various stages we'll be keeping track of developments and giving out as much information as we can, please bear in mind that quite a few changes are possible during design so that nothing is "final" until we go to print. We will therefore be looking at going to Kickstarter to launch the ROC project around April this year. Price is undetermined at this stage - without knowing final sizes and parts numbers is would be a fairly WAG, but it is likely to be around that of the Azure Dragon.
  7. So Haqqislam's got a whopping -3- units with Holoprojector lvl 2: Husam Yasbir, the Hassassin Ayyar, and Bashi Bazouks. But I've had a hard time making the most out of this. I do know some tricks, sure, but I'd love some more tips. Here's what I've discovered. - Holoechoes, of course, gives surprise shot and an ability to disguise your model, as per holoechoes 1. The disguising part would be more appropriate for a discussion about Hafzas, so it's -not- what I'm after in this thread. - Holoechoes can be used to clear mines. - Holoechoes can be used as part of (what I'd consider) a rules abuse, to let a model in suppressive fire suddenly appear in a corner with Line of Fire to the enemy, due to his position being switched when his holoechoes reappear when not being seen at the start of the inactive turn. - The most obvious use for Holoechoes would be to make your enemy hit the wrong model. In practice, I find this much less useful than it should be, because it's such a gamble to take - though I guess it could work well if your enemy's only got burst 1 and you're using the Ayyar, who's more resilient. In a pinch, I guess you can use it with your Bashi Bazouks so that they can airdrop in even in line of sight to an enemy model. I've done this, with mixed results. can you use holoechoes to disguise eachother? If you place three on a line like so; 1-2-3, will an enemy positioned like X->1-2-3 only be able to see holoecho 1, and thus be unable to shoot the real trooper (number 2)? Cause I could see that being really useful sometimes. What are your best holoecho tricks? Have you discovered or realized something I haven't?
  8. Hi all. Looking for some advice, on a couple of lists. I'm playing a 300 pt limited insertion game of transmission matrix, against vanilla nomads. Since its nomads I figure they'd dominate the hacking game, that's why I tried to avoid hackeable pieces. The game has low visibility on the whole board (-3 to LoS actions). My first option is: Li regular ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 AL-DJABEL Fusil + Escopeta Lig., Granadas de Humo / Pistola, Arma CC Viral, Cuchillo. (0 | 26) 5.5 CAP | 300 Puntos Abrir en Infinity Army This list has 10 regular orders + saladino (although not hidden), but 4 hackeable elements. Luckily 3 of them are hackers themselves, and though with low BTS with their high WILL they can be good on the offensive. The TR bot would not be used to control any of the areas till all enemy hackers are dead. Al-Djabel, the ragik spitfire and the djanbazan are the killers. I don't have any engineers nor forward observers for classifieds. The farzan gives me some backup should Saladino fall. The second list: Li ragik ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 8 2 1 TARIK MANSURI Spitfire, Nanopulser, Granadas / Pistola, Arma CC DA. (2 | 56) AL-DJABEL Fusil + Escopeta Lig., Granadas de Humo / Pistola, Arma CC Viral, Cuchillo. (0 | 35) RAGIK Spitfire / Pistola, Arma CC. (1.5 | 32) DJANBAZAN Ametralladora / Pistola, Cuchillo. (0 | 18) MUTTAWI'AH Chain Rifle, E/Marat, Jammer, Granadas de Humo / Pistola, Cuchillo. (0 | 5) 6 CAP | 300 Puntos Abrir en Infinity Army This list has a forward observer, and only 2 hackeable units. However 2 irregular orders on limited insertion can hurt. If I go first the toureg would have to be deployed as marker, or else I'd start the game with only 5 regular orders. Specially with 4 minis that can be order intensive, and no decent aro pieces at all. I feel Tarik can be very solid for controlling the midfield antenna and the fiday and ragik can try to join forces on one of the enemy antennas, so I have options to contest the whole field, but I doubt I'll have the orders to pull it off. In this second list I first had a djamba sniper instead of the ragik, giving me some aro and an extra order to burn on djabel, HMG djamba and tarik. Probably more balanced, but I also like the idea of having the ragik to fight for enemy antennas. That's basically it. I'm open to all types of suggestions, but consider tags or HIs as very risky options, and visors or CC more viable options due to reduced visibility. Any advice appreciated!
  9. Long time away, and it turns out my old Haqq painting log is archived and Psychotic Storm can't seem to revive it. No matter! EDIT: Now the first painting log is up and running here: http://infinitytheforums.com/forum/topic/10426-sheikh-your-booty-haqqislam-plog-tarik-captain-islam-mansuri-update-22514/, so my little toys are spread over the two topics :-/ Oh well, I'll keep posting here. Posting pics is great motivation to paint more often, as I don't get many games in. If you have ideas to improve the painting or photography I'm keen to hear your thoughts! Here's my latest mini, with a Muyib on the way. Played with a makeshift lightbox, trying to improve the photography. Hope you like! C&C always welcome, I've got one more of these and 2 Kameel remotes to do at some point, so I appreciate suggestions
  10. Hi, when I started to play infinity on July last year, I missed to have such a date base of lists set up by more experienced players. I understand then that the main reason is that factions can be played in different ways and it is not “an only way” to play an army. Therefore a list played successfully by me is not necessary the best option for other player. For example, the way I play djanbazan core link is not necessary suitable for other player and a janissaire link is not efficiency in my style of play. However I still miss a list database where I can find ideas or new ways to play haqqislam and/or discover good profiles and how to use them. From the beginning I played QK and I want to move to vanilla, and, to be honest, it is being difficult to me to set up a consistent list to be comfortable to play with. So my proposal is to post lists that you are happy to play with, so they can be an inspiration for others. In order to organize this, please use the following form to share your lists: Sectorial (QK, HB or Vanilla): Mission (if you use the list for any mission or missions): Opposite army (if you design the list for a specific enemy): How I use it (explain briefly the tricks or ways to play your list): My contribution: Sectorial: Qapu Kalqhi Mission: those pushing bottons, supplies, antennas field, etc. Opposite army: no one specific, played in a tournament. It supposes to be suitable for all opponents. How I use it: Djanbazan and sekban links should be played defensive at the beginning. Both HRL and sniper will be your main tool in ora. Dajanbazan hmg (plan A, played as solo unit) and hafza spitfire (plan B, wait until last turn as it is your lieutenant) are your key units in active. Al hawwas give you some board control and are the troops who are going to push the buttons for you. I use 2 Yuan Yuan as smoke platform for your djanbazans and, in the case maybe, for cover the Al hawwas to accomplish objectives. The other Yuan Yuan can be thrown to the face of your enemy (not literally), just for fun. List 1 ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 110 DJANBAZAN Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 31) DJANBAZAN HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 35) DJANBAZAN Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 27) HAFZA Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) HAFZA Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 18) SEKBAN (Fireteam: Haris) AP Rifle, Chain-colt / Pistol, Stun Pistol, Knife. (0 | 22) SEKBAN Heavy Rocket Launcher, Chain-colt / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 23) HAFZA Lieutenant Spitfire / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 22) HAWWA' (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 21) HAWWA' (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 21) GROUP 22 3 3 HAWWA' (Forward Observer) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 21) GHULAM Doctor Plus (MediKit) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) NASMAT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) YUAN YUAN Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) YUAN YUAN Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) YUAN YUAN Chain Rifle, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 8) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army Sectorial: Qapu Kalqhi Mission: originally it was though for playing highly classification, but I think it is good list for playing other missions also. Opposite army: no one specific. However it is a toolbox for playing against heavy camo lists or even against ip and tags lists. How I use it: I have to admit that it is not the kind of list I use to play. But the tons of regular order (15) help a lot to kill enemies and accomplish objectives, and I have include some interesting profiles in there. Make a core link of guhlam, the hafza hrl and Leila Sharif to play it defensive together with the dajanbazan sniper. I prefer to have the hacker outside the link in order to active it without active the whole link. If you need it, you always can spend one token to include him in the link. Djanbazan hmg and Leila Sharif (have in mind the cibermask) are your assets in active. Shihab is for reactive and active turn, so take care and do not expose it to much in reactive turn. Rafiq is your toolbox for whatever you need. Together with the fanous, you can use it in the first turn to reveal infiltrator and camo enemies and take them down with dajanbazans or sihab. I play the yuans defensive in this list, for smoke combo or cover the advance of your units. Alwwa gives you board control and it is a great tool to accomplish objectives, hack, etc. List 2 ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 110 LEILA SHARIF Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Shock Marksman Rifle, D-Charges / Breaker Pistol, Knife. (0 | 20) GHULAM Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 16) GHULAM Lieutenant Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12) HAFZA Heavy Rocket Launcher / Assault Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 18) GHULAM Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 12) GHULAM Hacker (Hacking Device) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 20) DJANBAZAN HMG / Pistol, Knife. 11. Greetings fellow Fremen! I have an ITS tournament coming up consisting of three rounds: Annihilation, Frontline, Supremacy. I've been tinkering with vanilla Haqqislam since I've acquired both Al Fasids and Maghariba and the incentive is to play with them, although I'm first and foremost Hassassin Bahram player. I've only got one tournament under my belt, which was not so succesful on the winning front, but a valuable experience. I've been playing against USAriadna, Steel Phalanx, Vanilla Aleph and Vanilla PanO quite regularly past few months so I've been hammering my Vanilla playstyle. I've been blown away by Al Fasid HMG profile, the guy is a beast and the first one to get painted after I stripped my previous HB Assassins Creed color scheme force. Now going for much darker, dark leather, black armour, glowing eyes Dune kind of a thing (Sleeper Must Awaken!). And I can't not play Saladin. Anyway, onto the lists. The first one is dubbed Supremacy Fasid Extravaganza: Supremacy Fasid Extravaganza ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 110 SALADIN Lieutenant Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 36) FASID Heavy Rocket Launcher, Submachine Gun, Antipersonnel Mines / Heavy Pistol, Knife. (0 | 5) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army I'm quite happy with this one, especially cause its nice round 6 SWC 300 points. I've got Baggage Kameels for the point caps while also providing Repeater coverage, infiltrating Hacker specialist, all kinds of Hackers, even managed to stick our great Doctor plus specialist with 2 Nasmats. The Al Fasid HRL is my go to ARO piece, with his ARM 8 in cover and great BS, while also being a fun guy against clumped Fireteams and ODD spam. Got the Shihab aswell for some backfield protection and more AROs. Al Fasid HMG is the beatstick of the list. Now the second list, which is designed for the Annihilation/Frontline is sporting big M, and I'm having some problems with it: Annihilation/Frontline Maghariba ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 110 SALADIN Lieutenant Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 36) MAGHARIBA MULTI HMG, Heavy Flamethrower / . (2 | 78) MAGHARIBA PILOT Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0) BARID Hacker (Killer Hacking Device UPGRADE: Lightning) Rifle + Pitcher / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) BARID Hacker (Hacking Device) Rifle + Pitcher / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 21) KAMEEL Hacker (EVO Hacking Device) Electric Pulse. (0.5 | 25) KAMEEL (Minesweeper, Repeater) Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) HAWWA' Hacker (Assault Hacking Device) Boarding Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 26) FARZAN (Chain of Command) Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 26) NAJJARUN Engineer Rifle + Light Shotgun, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 17) NASMAT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) GHULAM Doctor Plus (MediKit) Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 16) NASMAT Electric Pulse. (0 | 3) GROUP 21 LASIQ Viral Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 25) 5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army I can't exactly fill up the SWC the way I want, and I'm quite worried if my Maghariba bites the dust, or an unfortunate Monofillament blade. I don't exactly have another high burst dedicated piece, and the match might be heavily disfavored if she dies. Am I putting too much Hacking support around her? Could that be more modified for a Ragik Spitfire perhaps, or Odalisque or something? Comments and criticism is welcome!
  12. This months sees a whole slew of new release on our website. The Arabesque bases are new city pavement and roadside bases with a distinct Middle Eastern theme. Perfect for a Haqqislam army, or even Druze and Kaplan mercenaries. The bases are highly detailed resin, and come in the sizes of 25mm, 40mm, 55mm, and 70mm. All base sizes except 70mm are compatible with our compass bar system for denoting line of fire. We are also releasing 4 new laser cut and MDF products this month, the Avalon Tri-Ads ‘Small’, Avalon Tri-Ads ‘Large’, Metro Terminus and Stop Signs, and the Deus Roller Mk. II. These are new streetside products to help bring your urban table to life, and block different lines of sight on an Infinity board. These products feature, pre-painted MDF, reverse-etched acrylic, highly detailed resin and photo quality image prints. The Deus Roller Mk II is a new improved version of the Deus Roller that was released as part of the Game Box kickstarter. This version has been improved both functionally and aesthetically, functioning both as a scenery piece and as gaming aid. By removing the top of this scenery element, and dice roller is revealed, allowing you to roll dice down the inside of the Deus Roller. Instructions for these products are now on our blog , here. Happy Gaming!
  13. The new Imperial Service stuff is glorious. The models are beautiful, and they are insanely well sculpted, which makes me really want to push what I've been able to do with paint. As I just finished up my first of the new models, I figured I'd share. C&C welcome. I will continue to add finished models to this post as I get to them. Pheasant Agent Kanren Crane Agent Zhanying Crane Assault Hacker COOOOOBRAAAAA!!!
  14. Im just opening this as a speculation thread for what may possible be in a future HB starter box update. so what are your guys thoughts? Daylami would probably be in for sure, but what else? Ayyar sculpt perhaps, fiday resculpt, what happens to the missing muyib or lasiq?
  15. Hey all - my local gaming group on-campus started the planning for an Infinity campaign early December, and it started about a week ago. That (fortunately) gave me plenty of time to pick up the slack and finish painting and assembling my campaign force. As it stands, the core conflict of the campaign is between Haqqislam and Ariadna over corporate interests in the Tessum trade with Nomad mercenaries and PanOceania intelligence agents involved as well. Each player has a core list with very few restrictions, so my list is predominantly QK-driven with a few vanilla Haqqislam models thrown in for flexibility (AVA limits and sectorial limitations only apply game-to-game). These are just a few of the projects I finished over the gap between the first idea and the official start. Djanbazan for seeing through that pesky Caledonian smoke. These guys so far have proven to be the bane of everyone's existence, since Regeneration gives them a lower likelihood of dying in-campaign. USAriadna Grunts to stand-in as Halqa mechanized troops. Wish I had some Haqqislamite rifles hanging around to convert them. Zoom-in on a Halqa and his trusty modified Tinbot (he's a Nasmat now). Since I had plenty of points to spare, I took a good deal of Ghulams alongside Lelia to serve as a Swiss army knife link team I can utilize from game to game. Casualty rates are high (spoiler: T2 ammo hurts). Another shot with all the Ghulams. I was overjoyed when the new Tuareg arrived before the official start of the campaign. He isn't super useful against Ariadna, but our PanO player has a habit of bringing a Cutter. I'll probably see if I can't convert the sniper to either a doctor by modifying the rifle, because right now she's a sub-par sniper. Zhayedan and company. The Khawarij is to flank and take out PanO cheerleaders for the TAG, and the Al Fasid is a dedicated Wulver-killer. The HVT from Defiant Truth serves as a fluff piece - she's the corporate contact for my Haqqislam force, but I really just wanted an excuse to paint her up.
  16. Suryat link with Kornak goes toe-to-toe with a Muyib link on supplies. The battle is a conflict of styles and composition. The tough-to-crack Suryats and a Q drone attempt to lock down the board. The Muyibs have smoke on their side, and refuse to fight an upfront battle. The Hassassins try and steal supplies right under the nose of the defense. The battle is as close as it gets and goes down to the last turn, last order, last dice roll to decide the winner This is my third battle report and I have been trying to improve the format. hope you guys check it out and enjoy. 17. Sorry if this isn't the right place to put this topic, I wasn't honestly sure where it should go so I just placed it here. So lately I've been clearing out my old miniatures in an attempt to get a little extra cash. My friend and I like playing infinity and I was thinking of just keeping a couple of small armies for us both to play . I was wondering whether yall thought red veil or icestorm were better for a general introduction to the game? Or if it might just be better to ask my friend what army he wants to play and grab a couple of the small army boxes instead?
  18. I as recently playing mgs v and language is a big theme in the game. You need translators so you can interrogate enemy soldiers from around the world. This got me thinking about how motherbase would actually work and whether or not they would have their own common language that soldiers would be expected to speak or understand to enable communication. What I started to wonder after that was whether or not empires like panoceania and yu jing would have their own common language so that people from different parts of the sphere could communicate in a military setting. Is there any information on what the lingua franca for something like pan o would be? I would assume English but that may be wrong. If not how do armies with a huge variety of languages actually communicate?
  19. Hey all, I have started a written battle report page for my local area. I am still fairly new to the game, less than a year, and very new to battle reports. hope you guys enjoy *I also have a Corregidor vs Tohaa up and a very tense Morat Aggresion vs Hassassin Bahram comin in soon http://wp.me/p8h8ZF-aW
  20. I was thinking about doing an all myridom or all thorakitai list but I wasn't sure how well that would work out. So I just thought I would ask and see what you all thought of it. I was going to be using things like kts, druze , djanbazan and other miniatures from various armies I like as proxies since I like aleph's rules but I am not a big fan of their miniatures.
  21. Hi all My main opponent plays Haqqislam, I have beaten him on several games, but personally I often find it was more luck and I often feel on the back foot against him. So I was hoping you guys could give me some advice on 3 problem units he likes to field (I apologise for the spelling): Ragiks (drop trooper guy) Fiday (how the hell do you deal with impersonation? ) the 'crazy bitches', well that is what we call them (the irregular girls with smoke grenades and those isolator gadgets)
  22. Hi guys I have recently been struggling against a Haqqislam player, we are playing this evening a 20x20 mission, upload evidence and espionage as secondary objective. I created the following list, read it through then I will give a reasoning behind the various choices. Disclaimer, I mostly have the Red Veil set, Tokusetsu support pack, a guilang and a Su Jian. But our group is rather relaxed about proxies. I would like to play the Su Jian, since I haven't yet, and the scenario seems to be made for him, but I am not sure how well he will fair against all his smoke and isolator shenanigans. My army choices are also greatly influenced by another thread I made here: Shout out to all the great forum gurus for their advice there! (0 | 12) 2.5 SWC | 199 Points Open in Infinity Army Oniwaban: My opponent loves to run the following module: 3 gulams (1 Lieutenant and one a doctor) with a MI guy with an HMG and MSV2, he prefers to set these guys up closely together on one table edge and to cover/dominate that edge. So Oniwaban's purpose is to go and sow some chaos. I think he should be able to kill most if not all of them (depending on placement) Guilang: The idea is to infiltrate him close to the one objective and to pop mines out galore. Effectively locking down the one objective. Question: If my guilang lies on a roof, can he lay down mines on the street below him and vice versa? Hsien: the doctor will stay close to him while he covers the other objective. Also to murder his damn Mutts (I think their name is, the irregular, smoke throwing, isolating, impetuous girls) He has often times been my Lt, so I expect his fiday (which he usaully has) to come right for him, hence the bao trooper. Bao: Idea is to go wherever the fiday is, after that he will probably go for objectives while the Hsien covers him Zanshis: Back field protectors and order generators. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  23. I've been playing Infinity off and on for a couple of years now, and figure it's time to finally give these guys (and gals) some color! I decided to go with a standard green and tan color scheme because I haven't done much with greens so far. Rather than attempting NMM, I went with a ceramic/composite look for their weapons and most items that would usually be metallic. So far I'm pretty happy with the result and feel like it adds some visual interest to what would usually be just another silver spot. I'll probably come back and spruce up the bases later. Right now my priority is on getting them painted and back on the table. I picked up the Kum troopers for a painting contest at my local game store - I ordered it with about a month to spare, but a series of shipping issues and a missing part only left me with about 8 hours to paint it. I have to say, this model was a joy to paint! Lots of little details and some real personality on his face.
