  1. Namaste, fellow Aleph players. I have been interested in Infinity basically since it first hit the market, but only recently, with Christmas fast approaching and family and friends asking what I wanted, did I put aside the time to actually sit down and pick through all the faction details and models to figure out which one I liked the most (not an easy task I must say). In the end, weighing the range of miniatures, the fluff, and the play-style, I was drawn to the Aleph. With the faction decided I got to work learning everything I could; studying forums, videos, and the game rules to give myself the best jumping off point as possible. With an adequate grasp of where I wanted to go with my list I set out the following guidelines for myself and set to work: 1) The game is very well balanced and anything can be playable; that means that visual appeal comes first... and for me that means a majority of Vedic inspired Ghost in the Shell style Vanilla Aleph units would form the base of my force. 2) ITS missions need a Hacker, Doctor, Engineer, and Forward Observer to be played, so I will be including at least one of each. 3) Aleph lieutenants are obvious targets, and are too costly to hide away and do nothing... so embracing that, I tried to include a back up plan in the form of chain of command. 4) Smoke lends itself very well to any list, especially if one of your models has a MSV like the Asura. 5) Post-Humans with their low cost, versatility, and fantastic profiles (and miniatures) were a must include. 6) A variety of weapons and deployment types to cover a spread of ranges, targets, and battlefield roles. 7) Maximize the number of orders without losing out on units to activate with those orders. And all that got me to here: ALEPH ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 DEVA Lieutenant (Sensor) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 24) MYRMIDON OFFICER (Chain of Command) Boarding Shotgun, Nanopulser, Eclipse Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (1 | 35) ASURA Spitfire, Nanopulser / Pistol, AP CCW. (2 | 70) MYRMIDON Chain Rifle, Nanopulser, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 16) PROXY Mk.1 Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 10) SOPHOTECT Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 31) NAGA Combi Rifle, Monofilament Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 30) EKDROMOS Chain Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 20) DAKINI Tacbot Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (0 | 13) DAKINI Tacbot Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (0 | 13) 5 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army I would love to hear some suggestions and get some feedback. I think I covered most of the things a list needs, and I did my best to pick the most optimal option for the models that I enjoy, but having never personally played a game of Infinity I am sure I could be overlooking some important detail (like the fact that I couldn't squeeze the HMG Ekdromos in without losing a Dakini, the monpofilament mines off the Naga, and the sensor off the Deva). Please let me know what you think!
  2. Hi all I’ve posted here before, a long while ago during the second edition when I played Military orders& dabbled with Morats with some friends at a gaming club. Those friends since left to go to University, and I didn’t manage to stay in the game, selling my miniatures. I have followed the game/miniatures with interest ever since, and around a year ago I bought the Morat starter for myself to paint as The newer sculpts were too hard to resist! I tried to convince my regular gaming buddy (40k/Malifaux) to play Infinity but he has stonewalled me the whole way “we play too many systems as it is.” Albeit in the same breath as “Oh hey let’s start Bloodbowl/Deadzone/Xwing etc”… Anyway, fast forward to now and I found out a chap at work had bought Operation Ice storm and is working his way through an exponential expansion of Space Police TM and he encouraged me to get the minis put together and painted so that we could play some intro games together and learn N3. Of course, the bug has bitten me again and we have been exchanging a fair few emails on the subject ‘have you seen this model?’ ‘look at this awesome terrain’ etc. My question for you fine people is this – What should I buy next?... I saw a YouTube battle report where a Morat player had a link team of Sogarats with Kornak, Oznat with Gakis, Dr Worm and a vanguard deathball with HMG which I liked the look of, and it’s pretty definitively Morat as well I guess as it’s straight forward and aggressive. The new Avatar, Charontid preview, Umbra models and Batroid TAGs are also very tempting to buy purely on aesthetics though but I don’t want to buy anything that won’t work with my current small set of models. I know there are recommended lists etc on Datasphere, but I wondered if there was anyway of combining the shiny new TAGs with my existing Morats, or if I should be looking at eigher/or rather than both. I had the idea of planning for a tournament as they are apparently quite beginner friendly and more enjoyable than Warmahordes events I’ve attended in the past, so with that in mind, it seem April is the next event closest to me (the Northern Open I think), and that’s my aim of learning the game, and getting minis ready for Thanks for your patience Lofty
  3. I know these posts probably get a little old after awhile, so thanks in advance for your help. I'm looking for advice and suggestions on a vanilla PanO list. There aren't any preset missions, since our group is only recently getting started and pretty much just playing learning/casual games at the moment. Possible opponents are Yu Jing/JSA, Nomads/Bakunin, Ariadna/USAridna, HaqqIslam, Combined Army/Morats. Here's what I'm starting with: Vanilla 1.5 ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 BIPANDRA Combi Rifle + Light Shotgun / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 24) HEXA Hacker (Killer Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0 | 27) AKAL COMMANDO Boarding Shotgun / Pistol, E/M CCW. (0 | 21) NISSE MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 34) ORC MULTI Rifle + 1 TinBot A (Deflector L1) / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 41) AQUILA HMG / Pistol, Shock CCW. (2 | 62) AUXILIA (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle + AUXBOT_1 / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 15) AUXBOT_1 Heavy Flamethrower / Electric Pulse. (- | 4) FUSILIER Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 18) SIERRA DRONBOT HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) KNIGHT HOSPITALLER Combi Rifle / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 33) 6 SWC | 300 Points Open in Infinity Army I know Bipandra doesn't get a lot of love. I've included her because I wanted a WP13 doctor and liked the flexibility of having another template weapon, but if there's a better way of doing it I'm open to it. I'm also not necessarily sold on the Knight Hospitaller over an engineer and some more orders or just adding more cheerleaders in general, but I was unsure if the list had enough high BS available. The Fusilier hacker is basically just there for cheap supportware: Controlled Jump for the Akal Commando, Fairy Dust in case the opponent brings some hacking, Assisted Fire for the remote if there's nothing better to do. Any offensive hacking is just gravy... or because things have gone bad. I've been picking up models for longer than I've been playing and the group's pretty ok with proxying at the moment, so don't worry about what I do and don't have when you make suggestions. Thanks!
  4. Hi all. I'm relatively new to Infinity, having collected some ALEPH and Nomads minis starting about a year ago, but only getting into a gaming mood recently. A local store is going to be doing a form of escalating ITS, where we'll be starting with smaller point armies (150 I believe), and growing from there. Right now I'm trying to put together a 150 point force list (perhaps two lists), using the models I've got and those being shipped to me as I write this, so that I can focus my modeling and painting efforts. Right now my main concern is objectives, as I haven't played except a couple friendlies, and I'm not sure how many specialists to bring. I'll post the two lists I'm kind of tweaking right now and ask for your thoughts about it's ability to accomplish games at the point level I'm looking at. Particularly I'm looking for feedback on specialists, and feedback re: how to spend my SWC of 3 the best. (0 | 5) 1.5 SWC | 150 Points Open in Infinity Army This second list is about having close to 10 orders, and a combination of tricky (infil camo), and speedy specialists. Couldn't really fit in lots of orders + specialists + maxed SWC, so this list takes a huge SWC hit. I've also been flirting with a max SWC list with few models, including smoke shenanigans with a Hsien HMG and Celestial Guard smoke GL, as a hyper-damage list, but I'm unsure about it being viable with like 2 specialists. For the record, the models I will have available by the end of the week are: Operation Red Veil minis, Gui Lang x2, Aragoto box with hacker and Asuka, Dao Fei blister, Celestial guard box, Kuang Shi box, Shinobu (awesome mini, awesome rules, not really something I feel I can fit in 150 pts), JSA Support box, Raiden Seibutai (awesome model), Tiger Soldier w. Spitfire blister, and the Yan Huo with HMC (another great model, and my main vanity purchase, for really showing off my army's paint scheme). No other figs will really be available, so please try to restrict suggestions to things I have, or should expect to be able to proxy with those models. Any tips in general would be helpful as well re: what I should expect to face, how defensive I should be with few orders, and other issues.
  5. I had a good conversation with fellow article writer @Lazarus0909 and we discussed a mutual interest of ours (NeoTerra!) We were talking a bit about order generation for all the excellent units that NCA has to offer. For many folks (especially the Euro guys) this will seem like common knowledge, for which I apologize. For others though, especially those new to the Sectorial, this is nice to point out. Obviously, linked Fusiliers are a great way to start any NeoTerra list. They offer much. But with their AVA capped at 5, and with Auxilia not exactly being cheap at 15 points, the points can run out quickly. Similarly, the lack of a very cheap Kuang Shi-style order generator is often lamented. With that in mind, NCA players should check out the following list "module" as a way of generating a big workable Order pool that also retains a ton of utility. Players often overlook this because they never check the AVA on Fugazi, or they don't want to buy two packs of Dronbots plus Mules because they're "boring". However, I'll make a case for this: Neoterran Capitaline Army──────────────────────────────────────────────────6 PATHFINDER DRONBOT Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 16) FUGAZI DRONBOT Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) FUGAZI DRONBOT Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) FUGAZI DRONBOT Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) MULEBOT (Minesweeper, Repeater) Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) MULEBOT (Minesweeper, Repeater) Electric Pulse. (0 | 8) 0 SWC | 56 PointsOpen in Infinity Army 56 points for 6 Orders is as good as it will ever get in PanOceania. In addition, these all offer significantly more bonuses than simple cheerleaders hiding prone in the backfield. With this many Repeaters, your Swiss Hacker or Hexa KHD can always choose to initiate an attack. Similarly, hackable targets are going to have a very hard time penetrating your DZ with coverage this complete. You can also seriously threaten incoming warband or AD units, because the prevalence of Flash Pulses that you can use to cover blind spots or table edges is great. You can even spring for the full EVO and Overclock them all. Additionally, on Turn 3, you can rush all the Fugazi out to provide last-ditch AROs to keep an opponent off an objective, or use the Fugazi's Flash Pulse in a secondary pool to attempt Hail Mary Flash Pulse attempts on enemy overwatch troops, so that your Specialists in your primary pool can get where they need to go. If you manage to wrestle control of infowar dominance, having this network of Repeaters that can quickly zip up the table can turn your Hacking presence into a powerhouse. Similarly, if your'e one of those intrepid Bolt players, you'll love this for helping to get your Order pool up and allowing you to functionally run a second Combat Group easily. Baggage is a great rule as well; even if you aren't reloading Drop Bears, you're still passively contributing to a tiebreaking value boosting the number of points that survive each ITS round. I may lose games with my NCA, but they almost always pile the bodies higher than an opponent even at the cost of the mission, so being able to add Baggage to that is strong. As for the Pathfinder... It really needs no introduction. Consider taking two. Lastly, this module also works in Acon. It combines very nicely with a Regular link team to let you run even costly troops (a Tik and two Nagas, for example) while still hitting 15 Orders. When you toss out those Flash Pulses plus a linkteam and antipersonnel mines, you create a huge saturation of strong AROs that are perfect for holding off an opponent in a close-fought game in the last round. Players often think of PanO's tech advantage purely in terms of equipment or armament, but generating a support pool like this purely from support REMs is great and actually quite unique for anyone that isn't ALEPH or CA.
  6. Hello! First time posting on a forum. I have recently started playing infinity and have dabbled in both Vanilla Pano and with SAA. I am looking to try and focus on Vanilla PanO and am trying to use some models I already have as well as buy a few new ones. The List I am looking to build would focus around using Joan of Arc to get some cheap regular orders out of the Warcor as well as the new Tech Bee specialist profile. With the added SWC from Joan i could bring a low of heavy fire power and a fair number of order batteries/specialists to fual the SWC. Below is the list, I'm unsure if i should split the groups somewhat evenly or do a 10/3 split. any advice/comments would be great! 7. Hey everyone! I was just hoping to chat with some of the more experienced players and tournament goers about how to handle my first ITS tournament. I'm mostly looking for some tips and guidelines on good gameplay practices so that I can be a good opponent for anyone I play and maybe some ideas for my lists. I play Onyx Contact Force and am pretty easy going. I was thinking of taking a list with a tag (or three ) and one without. The missions are Comms Center, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Highly Classified at 300 points. I've only played with a handful of people in my community so this will be a big change for me. Thanks in advance for any and all help you guys can offer, and may the dice be in your favor!
  8. On the first of the month I decided im starting Infinity after looking into it for a few years, however I cant decide whether to start Nomads or Aleph. If I was to start Aleph however, I would love to use the Penthesiela bike model. I personally dont like what comes in the Aleph starter box because it looks a bit dated, however the rest of the range is beautiful. Could someone please give me a idea what I would need to get a good 150 point force utilizing Penthesilea, and excluding the starter box for someone whos just getting into the game? Thanks
  9. Hi guys So, as the topic implies, I need help expanding my red veil to 300pts. Now I have read up on this on various sites/forums, but I would really like to pick up the Su-Jian, but I am worried that he doesn't really synergies well with the rest of Red Veil. He looks like he will be fun on the battlefield, and I simply love the model, but I don't want it to become a shelf display piece - since it will probably be a while before I can expand meaningfully again. Do you guys think he can work? And what else would you recommend to fill out the rest of the 300pts? I was thinking of maybe some celestial guard, perhaps a few kaung shi's for cheep orders, and/or a raiden to increase my middel board control. I am a really new player (had like two 200pts games so far with Red Veil) so any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
  10. Hello everyone! I'm a new player to the game and I am in need of some advice. I have flipped through the pinned articles at the front and they are very insightful but I was hoping for more general recommendations for list building and tips. Like do I always need to bring a sniper. Should every list have a paramedic just incase. If the enemy sniper has the high ground do I need to take them out at all costs. Things like that. I would greatly appreciate any advice you guys would give. Thanks.
  11. I have only played for a few weeks, but I am trying to plan out a second faction to add variety to my local meta. Tohaa look interesting and I saw you guys might be getting a 300 point box. So sell me on Tohaa
  12. Hello board! New-ish Infinity player from Milwaukee, WI here. I checked out the Infinity rule set a little bit in 2013 using some Star Wars minis proxy models and tupper ware. I was really impressed by the rule set and theme, but got sidetracked with X-Wing at the time. I got pretty into X-Wing, winning a National Championship (GenCon) and so forth, but I have always longed for Infinity. Recently, I decided to take the plunge. I currently live in Milwaukee, WI, but am interested in finding players in surrounding areas as well. In terms of Milwaukee, I am aware that The Game Store is the "premier" miniature gaming store. Back in 2013 when I first checked out Infinity, there didn't seem to be much interest there for it, and instead the store personnel tried to sell me on Mercs (which I didn't care for). I recently called (1/24/2015) and asked if they had any Infinity interest and the store employee said "not that he was aware of." I did stumble across a May 14, 2014 article on these forums suggesting maybe there are some Milwaukee players that play at The Game Store on the 2nd Tuesday of every month? At any rate, I am definitely interested in meeting Chicagoland area players as well, or players from the Janesville, WI, Fond du Lac, WI, Madison, WI, or possibly Appleton, WI areas. If you are an Infinity player in the southeastern Wisconsin or Chicagoland areas, I would love to meet you and play some games! Cheers!
  13. Hello! I'm looking for a faction, and I am a new player; my name in real life is not important at this time. I just call myself the wandering weirdo; so, Ariadna or Combined? Here's the two lists I've rolled up thus far, and I'm starting to read around the site for various information and what not, to try and see what I truly want out of this game and my time I put into it long term. Yes, I'm out to have fun; the problem, is that when I play to have fun, by the end of the game I want to win. And, to put it quite honestly, I do not yet see that as fair to my opponent. Thus, I'm a weirdo, wandering from game to game. --- Ariadna list that I like, no real stealthers/camo people, and then the Combined list below that one: USAriadna Ranger Force ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 110 MINUTEMAN Lieutenant AP HMG / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 27) 6 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army --- I'm pretty sure at this time, as I am so new and noobish at this time, that both lists are bad; armor in a mostly stealth game seems like a total waste, the more I think about it. I just... cannot get over how important body armor can be for a warfighter, and those that fight to defend the ones they are sworn to defend in life. Thoughts please?
  14. Hi everyone ! I'm new to the game, after a long hesitation I'm decided on my starting faction : PanOceania. I was Quasi-boarding on those giant nomads ships (they've got koalas, glue-guns, pretty strong arguments !) until i realized, drop-bears, Space Jesus and the Hellish Claptrap of hell (auxbots) are the next best thing. Plus PanO's REMs are way better looking (nomads come close seconds to me though). As my mates and i are just starting we're focusing on efforts on 150/200 pts games (mostly 150), I won't be able to spend much so i'm really focusing on targeted buying. I admit that the NCA starter as some good refs (aquila, swiss, bolts?), i do like the aquila guard, he's a good looking fellow, but no so fan of the others. So here's my first try at list making, I'm pretty sure you'll have some suggestions. I made it focusing mostly on the minis i like (i can play minis i don't really find nice if they bring something, like dropbears that are missing in my list here), I want to play a REM heavy force, PanO's REMs and TAGs were a BIG part in my decision to start with PanO. Auxbot, Armbots & Dronbots being mostly responsible for my choice (in that order). I made it NCA because of Devas, i thought of putting one as a hacker but then saw that EVO Hacking device was nice (and WIP13 is not that bad), but i like devas so i figured why not make it my Lt, plus they have devabots and good looking minis (acontecimento's nagas are attracting too ;)). But I'm not entirely fixed on a sectorial or vanilla, for a start i think vanilla is easier but i don't think it will be a problem. Regarding play-style i like tricks and board-control (i like just shooting at things too ofc, and REMs, i'm gonna repeat that). list code : IwBgLAPsCsIQCgQwHYHkAEA5AwgQXQEoCiAsujHDAKTDUDMAHNFQITA0jt13Nsdc9WwOjWFVGItg1HS6ATgBMrORxV0A7ADZlq8euYABI0A= PS : how do i post list like you guys ?
  15. Hello! I am John, or Fez and am a new Corregidor player currently in The Hague! I have a fair bit of wargaming experience, my early wargaming life starting with a box of Warhammer Fantasy High Elf Archers which were all looking sideways as I stuck the heads on before the arms! Good times... I also play Malifaux, Warmahordes, Bolt Action, etc... Me and my partner have jut started playing and she is doing the wolfy Caledonians! I look forward to meeting all of you!
  16. So I haven't actually played a game of infinity yet. I am still reading the rules and trying to wrap my head around the game. But that hasn't stopped me from building a half dozen lists already. I finally boiled it down to one I really like, both from a potential game-play standpoint and from a "I think these guys look really cool" standpoint. Anyways I was wondering if anyone here with infinitely more play time than myself would be willing to give me a sense as to how it might fair or where it is really lacking. So here it is: Newbie Tohaa List 300pts Group 1: -Triad 1- Sakiel (LT.) -- Viral Hatail Aelis Keesan -- K1 Makaul -- HF, ZV smoke -Triad 2- Sakiel -- Viral Kosuil -- K1, mines Makaul -- HF, ZV smoke Gao-Tarsos -- HMG Gao Tarsos -- HMG Kotail (FO) -- Combi, E/M grenades Kerail Preceptor -- Surda x2 Group 2: Clipsos -- BSG, Nulifier My initial idea is that the two triads are equipped to handle whatever they might encounter between the K1's, Virals and Heavy flamers. The smoke is to allow for a less painful approach. Keesan sounds like she can deal with a lot of different things from enemy hackers to cloaked units to armored threats with her K1. So yeah, being able to do a lot of things sounds great to a guy who doesn't know what he's doing. The Kotail is there because I hear they nullify terrain and scenery as an obstacle and can really approach from hard to cover angles. Also having a forward observer sounds like a good idea, and tossing some grenades down onto a TAG or other mechanical beast sounds like a good way to approach them. The two Tarsos are there for somewhat the same reason as the Kotail. I think all three working together could be hard to anticipate. Between these tow and the Preceptor that's three supressive fire units. Might be able to cut off retreats or halt advances. Also shooting through smoke sounds pretty badass. The double surda Preceptor sounds like a very flexible unit that can help fill in gaps. Again I am just trying to sound smart here. Finally the lonely Clipsos. I am not entirely sure if this is even a good idea. I just have no idea how to spend the remaining points but I thought he might be able to infiltrate ahead and lock down an area where I think the enemy might like to do some hacking. *Shrug*?

  18. Hey guys I'm new to this edition and combined army, and suggestions for a pure Morat force?
  19. I'm a very new player to Infinity and am still reading through the N3 rules. I downloaded from the site these sheets called "holos". First, what are holos and how are they used (they don't really make much sense as markers for bases unless they have oblong bases for certain figures)? Second, is there a rule or set of rules for using them (and if so what page are they found on) and how are they used? Lastly, I see some miniatures have them, or something that looks like them, appearing in their hands as if they're accessing or hacking a computer system or as screen displays on scenery. If some are used this way, what's the best method for printing them? An inkjet printer on acetate sheets won't work too well unless they make special ones that can be used on (I work in an office supply store and haven't seen such things) those printers, so if they don't then I'll have to have them printed up using the massive copiers. Has anyone else had an issue like this? Thanks, Benn "Arkangel" Williams
  20. I've just started Infinity and recently bought myself the Ju Jing ISS starter pack which I have now finished painting. I'm looking for players in the area for games.
  21. So I am brand new to Infinity but not to miniature war gaming. I currently play Malifaux, Dropzone Commander, Dropfleet Commander, and Star Wars Armada. Now I am looking to add to this repertoire with this fantastic looking game. While going through the factions, I came across the Combined army and fell in love with the aesthetics of the models. Now I need help on where to start and what things should I be looking at overall. Thank you for your help!
  22. Hi, I'm new to Infinity and did some looking around and everyone's advice again and again in any of the 'new player' threads seems to boil down to choosing the models you like and using them, most things are good and useful. So, I know what models I like. I, unfortunately however, am just not experienced enough to parse what a stat block, special skills and equipment load out actually means for how a model is meant to play on the table. I imagine that comes with time, but if someone could perhaps give me a hand on working out what the disparate collection of 'models I like the look of' actually do on the table that would be great! So, I like the following models the most. Others look good but it's these ones that drew me to Haqqislam more than the other factions. Ghulam Muyib Ragik Naffatun (probably like these the most) Thanks.
  23. I've been studying the rules, watching batreps, painting miniatures, but have yet to get into a lot of practice games having come across from other systems to play Infinity. Help me out with these easy new player questions.... 1) Kuang shi are low cost order generators, but difficult to control. Aren't there tactics you can use to keep them moving toward the enemy but not into line of fire? Do your own models block them from moving if they are in the way? How do you determine which enemy is the closest if one enemy model is closer than another, but not within line of sight to the Kuang shi - does the KS go to the closest still? 2) A Yaozao only costs 3 points, but it can't fight - only help a doctor etc. by copying its move since it's a ghost servant. Doesn't it still generate a regular order than can be used by the rest of the combat group though? If so, what's the drawback of taking two? Is it just a matter of preferring better models in your combat group slot? I feel like I've overlooked a rule somewhere. 3) I understand that TAGs aren't popular at the moment due to ITS-specialist weighting/hacking/crits/orderspam... or so I read on the forums... so in comparing the Yan Huo to say, the Guijia, is the Yan Huo just a poor man's version of a TAG like that, and with the same liability/drawbacks? Or are there some rules about the difference between HI and TAG that I'm not considering? 4) Ninjas, Oniwaban, Shinobu... do people use hidden deployment for these models, and wait for a great ARO opportunity? Or just deploy them in TO Camo and work their way towards a target? 5) Is Sun Tze, in either incarnation, actually considered a good/bad choice? If not, why not?
  24. Hi All, I'd really like to collect a Shas force as my "one box" army, because my others are spawling (and because I want to try painting slimy skin). I'm going to keep it to about 15-16 models for now. Also, I like playing on hard mode, so I'm cool with an unsupported army. Would the following be a decent starting list? It's mostly camo, with a few drones and non-camo spacefrogs thrown in for fire Sensor, support, doctoring, etc. I know Seeds kind of suck, but is a team of them to support Hasht worth it, or should I just dump them and run him by himself? He seems pretty killer with +3 BS, SSL2, and a B5 Spitfire. If I ditched the Seeds I guess I could take another Minelayer, an 8-point R-drone to add more Sensor/Repeater coverage, etc. Also, is the Haiduk worth it or have you had better luck with T-Drones? I know Noctifer MLs are popular, but I do love a ranged DA threat that can't be shot back at... 25. Hi everyone! This is my first post on the Infinity forums, so I'm quite excited about getting involved in the community in the future. I have very recently made the move into starting up Infinity, and chose to play a Nomads force. I understand that the game, while small in force size, requires a reasonably versatile selection of models to choose from, and as such I have 20 models available to me in my collection, including models from Operation: Icestorm, the Corregidor Jurisdictional Command starter and Jaguar boxes. To list them all quickly: 4 Aguaciles (including 1 hacker) 4 Wildcats (including 1 spitfire) 4 Jaguars 2 Intruders (including 1 HMG) Mobile Brigada Reverend Healer Spektr Grenzer Hellcat Zero (hacker) [Note: To save space, I have left out details for models from the aforementioned boxes. I assume a number of people on here are familiar with their contents.] With that out of the way, I want to get to the point of this post. I have a local gaming scene that I wish to get involved with in the near future, and I'd like some assistance in constructing a 200 point force from my collection to start playing with. Whilst I've started getting the swing of the actual game, list-building is proving to be something of a challenge to me. Having previously played other gaming systems, the Infinity list-building is quite a change to me (certainly more interactive), and I still haven't gotten a full grasp on SWC requirements and groups etc. So any advice on constructing lists or potential starting force builds are highly welcomed. Whilst I'd prefer advice for using what I currently possess, I am also open to advice on future purchases, as I look at Infinity as something of a long-term involvement. I am also aware that the majority of my collection (16/20) can be used in a Corregidor force, which opens up the possibility of link teams in certain units, so I am also open to lists designed specifically for Corregidor instead. In short, I just want to get playing as soon as possible. If it helps in the process, my main opponent will be playing PanO, with a collection from Op: I and the Military Orders starter to choose from (I possess more models, so I wish to use that advantage, be it in list-building or in sheer numbers if needs be). Sorry for the epic ramble, but I wished to be thorough. I thank any contributors and advisers in advance. Happy Holidays, every body! Regards, ForkyEye.
