  1. Hello everyone! I am mainly CHA player who dabbled into MO playstyle, and I have to admit, mostly due to fact I am most often facing Aleph, I am really tempted by the idea of Tunguska sectorial. I was fiddling around with potential rosters, trying to keep the list capable of delivering damage, while remaining overall fluffy and I came up with list like this: Nomads ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 INTERVENTOR Hacker Lieutenant (Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle, 1 FastPanda / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 27) KRIZA BORAC (360º Visor) Mk12, Submachine Gun / Heavy Pistol, CC Weapon. (0 | 63) SPEKTR MULTI Sniper Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 39) SPEKTR (Forward Observer) Combi Rifle, Antipersonnel Mines / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 32) TOMCAT Engineer Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 22) SALYUT Hacker (EVO Hacking Device) Electric Pulse. (0.5 | 25) REAKTION ZOND HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 26) TSYKLON Spitfire, Pitcher / Electric Pulse. (1 | 31) STEMPLER ZOND Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 17) STEMPLER ZOND Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (0 | 17) 4.5 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army So, we have here a HMG, Mk12, Spitfire,Multi Sniper rifle to win firefights. We can easily notice the lack of EXP weapons, that would be very handy against tags but I think with three repeaters dashing across the table to control midfield, and a pitcher I can relatively safely attempt to ruin day of anything remotely hackable. For that very reason I also decided to pick EVO hacking device along with Interventor, mostly to allow coordinated hacking shenanigans in order to marginalize the risk of killer hackers truly ruining my day. With one gentleman trying to kill enemy hacker as the other breakwaters I think I can truly "Win the Internet" Specialist wise, well 3 forward observers, two hackers and engineer in 10 orders list seems plentiful.Tomcat should b e able to come and save the day, would Tsyklon run into a bad day, or simply score me points with sabotage. Kriza.. Well is heavy infantry and potential LT, Seemingly very solid gunfighter, especially with both his rules. So why do I post this? I after my experience as Ariadna player, see here a distinct lack of MSV. While Sat-lock with EVO buff can certainly prove painful I would like to hear criticism and ideas. I am already worried, this will be the type of list to burn through three command tokens on round one to establish dominance on the field, but I think, especially with the fireteam-duo usage I can remain mostly order efficient. So I am looking for ideas and tips, I would love to keep it Tunguska themed, but I certainly would like to know if I am misjudging the toolbox I bring to the battlefield.
  2. I was lurking for a long time, ocassionally posting my kitbashes in Conversion topic. Ive decided its time to set my own Plog there. Ive run one on Data-Sphere, but in order to keep my motivation high enought to paint all my minis ive decided to post them also there. This aint top class painting topic- i suppose its smth more like TT quality. I have 4 factions PanO, Aleph, Nomads and Haqqislam. Some of them like Aleph are painted by commisioner painter Bryndza - i wont post them there but You can see his work there Whole pack of my conversions-posted already in Coversion topic you can see there. Some of my recent painted and converted minis: HEXAS: MSR conversion 1: MSR conversion 2: SWISS GUARD: Currently ive got couple started projects: ASA Guarda de Asaulto WIP: Bulleters & Pathfinders: And for my Chicks&Robots themed NCA bunch of rems: Nisse MSR
  3. Hello again, soldiers of the Hyperpower. In the recent months since my original thread on what PanO sectorial I should start, my tastes have changed. It turns outs that MO is my favorite out of the current or future sectorials for this faction. That being said I have already begun to build a MO force, which is going well so far. However, an interesting thought occurred to me while I was fiddling in Army Builder. How viable are non-Knight MO lists? Specifically those spamming the board with Order Sergeants? So I decided to challenge the folks here in PanO to discuss/build+post about this idea. Can it be done effectively or do you think these lists will crash and burn? Sound off and have fun exploring a unique flavor of the Hyperpower!! Units allowed: Seraphs (for those of you who like T.A.G.s) Remotes & Palbots (for those of you who like to run them) Fusiliers (Order Sergeants don't have a Lt. option) Indigo BiPandra (Fusilier Character and can link with Fusiliers) Order Sergeants Brother Konstantinos (he can link with Order Sergeants) Machinist Trauma-Doc Warcor Crusader Brethren (technically not Knights){Thanks to @Stiopa for pointing this out} Black Friars (technically not Knights){Thanks to @Stiopa for pointing this out}
  4. So EVOs have been out a while but 1) I don't have the model yet and 2) I haven't played any real games since redstorm. So Friend Computer would like to know if you are happy with and use EVOs much. On paper they seem amazing, but I haven't seen them in a lot of posted lists. How have they performed for you?
  5. So I bought the remote set the other day... And I have no idea what to do. I say that, I'm pretty set on building one of them as an EVO Repeater. But what about the other? I've experienced the horrorshow that is the TR HMG remote at the hands of ALEPH but is it that horrible? Do I want it for myself? Is it worth it? Are there any other loadout that I've overlooked? I'm gonna give Remote Presence's episode on REMs another go while I wait for you guys to answer. Thanks for your time, I haven't posted in a while but I like these forums almost as much as I like the game.
  6. So, if the EVO remote is a hacker, can the EVO remote be the hacker you need to take remotes even though it is a remote that needs a hacker? Not that this is likely to come up, but I am curious if any of the HSN3 owners knows.
  7. I have the Yaokong remotes and I quite like them. However, I'm going to need some Yaoxie remotes fairly soon (as my buddy is getting tired of me borrowing his Traktor Mul to proxy them!). The issue I have is, I'm not sure about that sculpt. It reminds me of the Su Jian pre-resculpt, which worries me; are the Yaoxie due for a resculpt, do you think? Do the sculpts look better in your hands than in pictures?
  8. I am about to start with a corregidor force. I do want to use the Hi tech options the Nomad nation has to offer. I am bit unsure about which remotes I should get, and which ones are used as proxies for remotes which don t have models. I want to use total reaction bots, preferably with HMG. A smart missile launcher would be an interesting option. I would like to use a stempler Zond, but have not found the model. Is it necessary to have an EVO repeater? Which models represent Zondbots? I have not found them. Which boxes do you suggest I should get?
  9. Hi it's me again. I have been fiddling around in the army builder coming up with different lists but when it came to remotes I realized that I know jack-squat about them. Therefore, I deiced to create this topic of discussion to answer that very question. Which remotes are your favorites and why? What remotes are better in the sectorials/vanilla? If someone also wants to talk about TAGs feel free to chime in as well. Thanks in advance and hope to hear from my fellow PanO players soon.
  10. Hello guys, long time no see! I am expanding my JSA army, and I'm thinking at purchasing the awesome models of the Rui Shi and Lu Duan, but I have some doubts. They seems really good, but are they that useful? Or would it be better to have the old sculpt classic Yaokongs (total reaction and FO)? I explain myself better: I like more the Rui Shi and Lu Duan models, and I think they could be AWESOME with some gadget programs, and I really really hope Holo L2 with the new rules will have more uses for our REM than the "I make 3 of them and we will see", so basically the thought behind it is hoping for a good rework of his projector. On the other hand, the old old models of the Yaokongs are not that good, but S3 and the always interesting FO with speed (not so much in JSA since we have cycles that have that role too) and total reaction (enhanced is awesome) are not to be overlooked. I slightly prefer the Yaoxies, but I want to hear some expert talking about them, since I never used REMs. In short: pros and cons of the various REMs, to help me decide P.S. Not talking about pangguling since I like the models but they don't fit at all in my idea of army both aesthetically and strategically wise.
  11. Hello, I am looking for some advice on model storage and transport. I am licking up a small neoterra sectorial army and I will be getting only the remotes (Sierra, Bulleteer, etc). I am looking into a small portable storage bag for them and I like the Beta bag. My Concern is the pluck foam tray is only 1.5 inches in height and I am afraid the tray is to short for the panoceania remote to fit in properly. Does any one here use the bate bag? and could you give some insight on how the remotes fit into the foam tray or pre-cut tray? Thank you
  12. This is a log I thought I would start last summer in order to finally get around to posting some of my Infinity stuff, I've been painting up two forces since then and thought I've finally got enough to share! I've started an army of Nomads and (counts as) Ariadna but I'll start with the Nomads since they were the first ones I painted. First up is the Intruder and the Spec Ops, the helmet on the intruder reminded me of the cover of the "Haze" video game so I thought it should be yellow! The army will also contain a number of remotes as they are what pulled me towards the nomads. I have convereted the Lunokhod to be a flying drone as I thought it gave it a more high tech feel. It is also designed to be easily re-mounted at the same height as the legged model to prevent any gameplay problems! Thanks for having a look, some more stuff will be imminent including the Alguacile Hacker from the starter set. Cheers Chris
  13. These are my REMOTES dronbots, they are very needed in battle, comments and critics are welcome
  14. Hey everyone. First off, I'm a Tohaa player. I'm here to ask for a friend, who really likes the remote models in Haqqislam (that's one of the reasons why he picked the army): what is the best way to run remotes? Would it be viable to have a remote-focused Haqqislam list? Which ones are good in what circumstances? What point level would be a good place to start bringing them along? Both of us have been searching for some tactica on them to no avail. Right now he has the Hassassin Bahram starter pack, a Jannissary, and pack of Kameel remotes. Could he make a decent 120 point list with that stuff to start in the local escalation league, or should he buy the regular starter pack?
  15. I haven't been hitting Yu Jing side of the forums lately, the posts were mostly boring and focused in ISS and YJ proper which I don't play. But I got bored last night and started playing around with the army builder. So Section 9 has a remote collection from Yu Jing that would make a GW stockholder proud. But he rarely ever brings more than 1 or 2. I've always assumed Yu Jing remotes were bad. 1 because I can't track their names, so I skip over them when looking at profiles. 2 Because Nomads were supposed to be or maybe referred to as better remotes. 3 Possibly they got a lot better this edition. I came up with this list that I though was quite interesting. Imperial Service ────────────────────────────────────────────────── Group 1 10 0 0 HÙSÒNG Yaókòng HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) HÙSÒNG Yaókòng HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) HÙSÒNG Yaókòng HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 25) RUI SHI Spitfire / Electric Pulse. (1 | 21) RUI SHI Spitfire / Electric Pulse. (1 | 21) LÙ DUĀN Mk12, Heavy Flamethrower / Electric Pulse. (22) WÈIBĪNG Yaókòng Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (16) WÈIBĪNG Yaókòng Combi Rifle, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (16) CHAĪYÌ Yaókòng Flash Pulse, Sniffer / Electric Pulse. (8) YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (3) SOPHOTECT Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (31) YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (3) Group 2 3 0 0 ZHÀNYING Lieutenant (Sensor) Breaker Combi Rifle, Nimbus Grenades / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (26) ZHÀNYING Hacker (Hacking Device) Breaker Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0.5 | 32) ZHÀNYING (Forward Observer) Breaker Combi Rifle / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (25) 5.5 SWC | 299 Points Open with Army 5 It has 5 specialists... Yep, 2 of those remotes are Forward Observers. Solid defense against all types of Camo. Some options for board control. Very Solid defense against Horde armies. Heavy armor might be a little difficult, but you are running a lot of burst 4 units with 12 BS, so hopefully you'll be winning a lot of FTF rolls. It's one of those odd specialty armies that you don't normally think of, till you're a little drunk and chatting on skype for 5 hours straight. Normally when I've thought of Remote heavy armies. I think I focused on the trooper units like in Aleph and Combined. But these I think this will work pretty well. I have half a mind to see if I can borrow Section 9's remotes for a run sometime. Has anyone tried an army like this? What do you think of it?
  16. Hey guys, I have been playing around with the army builder and finally set on the following Corregidor list for my Nomads. Jurisdictional Command of Corregidor ────────────────────────────────────────────────── Group 18 0 0 INTRUDER Lieutenant Combi Rifle + Light Flamethrower, Grenades / Pistol, CCW. (35) INTRUDER HMG, Grenades / Pistol, CCW. (1.5 | 42) JAGUAR Light Shotgun, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, E/M CCW. (13) HELLCAT Combi Rifle, Adhesive Launcher / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 23) LUNOKHOD Heavy Shotgun, Heavy Flamethrower, CrazyKoalas (2) / Electric Pulse. (26) LUNOKHOD Heavy Shotgun, Heavy Flamethrower, CrazyKoalas (2) / Electric Pulse. (26) TSYKLON Spitfire, Marker / Electric Pulse. (1 | 33) CLOCKMAKER Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (18) ZONDBOT Electric Pulse. (3) ZONDBOT Electric Pulse. (3) Group 26 0 0 ALGUACIL Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (10) ALGUACIL HMG / Pistol, Knife. (1 | 18) ALGUACIL Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 18) ALGUACIL (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (12) ALGUACIL (Forward Observer, Deployable Repeater) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (12) SALYUT (Minesweeper) Electric Pulse. (8) 4.5 SWC | 300 Points Open with Army 5 I created it with the ITS in mind (even though it is my first Nomads list), so I gave emphasis on the specialists. Also, I love the Nomad remotes, so that's why there are so many in there . So what do you think? I know that Infinity offers endless possibilities with lists and all can be competitive, but I would appreciate some feedback on it, mainly if it lacks something. Thank you.
  17. Hey all! I wanted to show off my new Vidic Aleph, i-Robot -themed, force. It was painted by my good friend and Master Painter Sam Lenz! I can't say enough about how amazing a painter he is, so I'm going to show you what he did for me and link you to his blog and CMON gallery: A little background, Aleph is my third faction. I started with Pan O. and am committed to paint all the models from that faction. I also expanded into MAF, and consequently the Combined Army, and have committed to paint all those models. So, knowing I'd never get to painting the Aleph models I turned to Sam, who apart from being my friend has also been a painting mentor to me. He is incredibly fast and professional, keeps an open line of communication through e-mails and his blog, and has mad skills. Just at Adepticon he took home 5 Crystal Brushes! Enjoy the pics
  18. I'm tinkering with a list that includes the two versions of the Yaoxie and a ninja hacker. My question is can a remote be deployed on the board without the hacker (ninja will be in hidden deployment or start off as TO camo marker)? I've read somewhere that if the hacker dies, the remotes can still act normally, but I haven't read an entry where deploying remotes without the hacker is allowed.
  19. I have always liked the rules for the ALEPH remotes, but the tricycle look never really did it for me. So I found these little babies And I thought they would fit perfectly. The Ghost in the shell vibe being the reason I chose ALEPH in the first place. But what do you people think? Are they even the right size? What kind of remote should they proxy? What size should their base be? I can't remember if they where amongst the ones who got the 55mm ones. Also I will not be complaining about the Dakinis any more. These buggers are 27 pieces each.
  20. Who thought remotes were a thing of science fiction? Here are the last DARPA advances:
  21. I was checking out the new website, and in the faction descriptions they have these groovy charts of each factions characteristics: a summary of each factions strengths and weaknesses. Here is Haqqislam's: I'm confused as to why remotes have the highest rating. Only Ariadna has fewer remotes than Haqqislam. Pan Oceania, Nomads, and Yu-Jing all have more remote options than Haqqislam. I don't know any Haqqislam player who relies heavily on remotes. Is it possible that the bars for remotes and light infantry are reversed? Or is this foreshadowing? Or am I reading the chart wrong? Or do I just not know what makes Haqqislam Haqqislam?
  22. I'm not hugely fond of the way the Nomad total reaction and stempler zonds look. Would people object to my using remotes from another faction (with the same load out) instead? If so, which one do people reckon fits in best with the look off the newer (much prettier) Nomad remotes?
  23. Why can hackers posses TAGs but not remotes? I get why hackers can't posses heavy infantry: there's (usually) someone in the armor controlling it. However to me it makes more sense to allow immobilization (shutdown) of all TAGs, remotes, and heavy infantry (other than Ariadna's "dumb armor"), but restrict (and allow) possession to models with all flavors of the Ghost rule. The hacker first disconnects the controller from the machine by deactivating its Ghost, then assumes the role of the original controller. Also, do non-Ariadnan HI get two "wounds" because of the bulk of their armor? Shouldn't they have one wound and one structure point? Enlighten me. EDIT: On second thought, possessing only models with G:Remote Presence makes more sense.
  24. I was playing around in the army builder and came up with a bot-heavy list that brings 4 HMGs and 5 specialists. I have no idea how well it would do, but it seems really fun: ALEPH ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 1 9 0 0 DEVA Lieutenant (G: Synchronized) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser+Devabot / Pistol, Knife. (26) DEVABOT Heavy Flamethrower / Electric Pulse. DEVA (G: Synchronized) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser+Devabot / Pistol, Knife. (27) DEVABOT Heavy Flamethrower / Electric Pulse. SOPHOTECT Combi Rifle, D-Charges / Pistol, Knife. (31) YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (3) YUDBOT Electric Pulse. (3) DAKINI Tacbot HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 22) DAKINI Tacbot HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 22) DAKINI Tacbot Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (17) DAKINI Tacbot Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (17) DAKINI Tacbot Paramedic (MediKit) Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (17) PROXY Mk.1 Hacker (Hacking Device) Combi Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (0.5 | 22) PROXY Mk.2 MULTI Sniper Rifle, Nanopulser / Pistol, Knife. (1.5 | 29) GROUP 2 4 0 0 ZAYIN Rebot HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 27) ZAYIN Rebot HMG / Electric Pulse. (1 | 27) NETROD Electric Pulse. (4) NETROD Electric Pulse. (4) 6 SWC | 298 Points Open with Army 4
  25. Right now, you can get a Sensor-bot across factions for 21-22 points, and it comes with a combi rifle (or rifle + light shotgun). What are your thoughts on a version without a firearm? The precedent is there from the minesweeper/EVO bots and repeater-bots. What would be your thoughts on an option that has no gun and runs about 15-16 points? It would have a couple advantages in my mind. First, it would make Sensor more common. Second, it would add variety to the sensor-bot profile. Third, it would give a better anti-camo ability to units that want it more cheaply (e.g. Bahram, Shasvastii). Fourth, it is potentially more synergistic with GML for the non-Nomad/Aleph crowd. The main downside lies in the third point, as it is clear that CB doesn't want some groups to have as many anti-camo options as others. However, it is still a fragile remote. It wouldn't break the game and it would make a cool piece of gear more common. Another idea might be solely Sensor *without* FO, and FO *without* Sensor, so the profile would potentially have four options (armed, FO+Sensor, FO, Sensor). What do you think?
