  1. So, I've been toying around with ideas on the new, sexy Suryat models. I've also seen a couple of lists, either with a 5-ape core link or a split selection of a duo and a haris. However, I'm looking at a list that also manages to pull its weight. While I'm fully aware that quite often, a Morat list will simply try to steamroll the opponent and worry about the objectives (other than decapitation or annihilation) later, having a button pusher or two wouldn't hurt. And while I realise that such menial tasks are mostly relegated to the less colourful detachments *cough*Zerats*cough, the following attempt at a list is purely apetosterone-driven. Suryat Supremacy ────────────────────────────────────────────────── GROUP 19 5 KORNAK Lieutenant Mk12, Light Flamethrower / Pistol, DA CCW. (0 | 41) SURYAT Vulkan Shotgun / Pistol, CCW. (0 | 37) SURYAT HMG + TinBot A (Deflector L1) / Pistol, CCW. (2 | 45) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) DĀTURAZI Chain Rifle, Grenades, Smoke Grenades / Pistol, AP CCW. (0 | 14) IKADRON (Baggage, Repeater) 2 Light Flamethrowers, Flash Pulse / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0 | 9) GROUP 24 Treitak Spec-Ops (12 XP) (WIP:15, Doctor, Engineer, EI Hacking Device) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife, EXP CC Weapon. (0 | 14) YAOGAT MULTI Sniper Rifle / Pistol, CCW. (1.5 | 34) SURYAT Heavy Rocket Launcher, Light Shotgun / Pistol, CCW. (2 | 39) IKADRON (Baggage, Repeater) 2 Light Flamethrowers, Flash Pulse / Pistol, Electric Pulse. (0 | 9) 5.5 SWC | 298 Points Open in Infinity Army What are your thoughts? I should mention that the Treitak has had his WIP increased to 15 to make him somewhat capable at hacking. He's also had the hacking device added because who wants their heavy infantry to turn around and start shooting the brain meat? The idea is to run the Datz as a core link, advancing them under the cover of smoke to take out anything that could potentially threaten the Suryats CQB-wise. The Kornak Haris is ablative armour and provides an extra order via Strategos. They are flanked by an Ikadron to take care of mines/camo tokens/suicide runners. Also, the Ikadron works as a repeater for the Hacker who stays will within cover until late in round 2 if he needs to push any buttons. The HRL and the Yaogat sniper cover the remaining fire lanes as soon as opponent shooters have been nullified. Issues: The HRL could conceivably put a dent in enemy armour, but realistically, only the Mk12 would threaten it in earnest, I suppose. Considering my luck with dice, I'd rather be throwing the Datz at a TAG than try and outshoot it with a Haris. The list is sloooooow. I realise that this is a problem for Morats in general (apart from running a Hungry link or dropping Zerats/Rasyats). Losing Kornak costs me two orders. Such is life with Strategos, though. Note: In a previous version of this list, I had put a second Suryat with a Multi-Rifle and LFT in the second combat group for a Duo team instead of the Yaogat Sniper. The Datz link also had a SLGL. However, that made it impossible to include the Ikadron repeaters/fiery observers of unmanned flanks in the two groups, and in my opinion, running smoke without somebody to see through it is somewhat asinine. I get that running a Hungry link with a SLGL Oznat would accomplish much of the same and leave even more points for bells and whistles, but I like that the Datz represent a credible CQB threat whereas the Hungries usually eat a mine or three and detonate well outside maximum impact efficiency.
  2. Hi guys, Question about Haris formation in MAF: Can you form a Haris with Kornak, 1 Raktorak and 1 Suryat? It's not explicitly stated, but based on the fact that you can have a Haris of Kornak and up to 2 Suryats, and that 1 Raktorak can join a Haris of Suryats, the implication is there. From those rules it's clear that you can have those three and have it count as a Fireteam: Core at least, but it's a bit shady on whether or not that can be your Haris. Anyone able to give clarification? The army list pdf doesn't clarify any further.
  3. Here is my suryat I painted but failed to enter in data spheres summer painting thing.
  4. How have people find Suryat's, since the stat change? Do you think they are too expensive for only having ARM 3 now? Cheers
