  1. Hello everyone! I am mainly CHA player who dabbled into MO playstyle, and I have to admit, mostly due to fact I am most often facing Aleph, I am really tempted by the idea of Tunguska sectorial. I was fiddling around with potential rosters, trying to keep the list capable of delivering damage, while remaining overall fluffy and I came up with list like this: Nomads ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 10 INTERVENTOR Hacker Lieutenant (Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle, 1 FastPanda / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 17) 4.5 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army So, we have here a HMG, Mk12, Spitfire,Multi Sniper rifle to win firefights. We can easily notice the lack of EXP weapons, that would be very handy against tags but I think with three repeaters dashing across the table to control midfield, and a pitcher I can relatively safely attempt to ruin day of anything remotely hackable. For that very reason I also decided to pick EVO hacking device along with Interventor, mostly to allow coordinated hacking shenanigans in order to marginalize the risk of killer hackers truly ruining my day. With one gentleman trying to kill enemy hacker as the other breakwaters I think I can truly "Win the Internet" Specialist wise, well 3 forward observers, two hackers and engineer in 10 orders list seems plentiful.Tomcat should b e able to come and save the day, would Tsyklon run into a bad day, or simply score me points with sabotage. Kriza.. Well is heavy infantry and potential LT, Seemingly very solid gunfighter, especially with both his rules. So why do I post this? I after my experience as Ariadna player, see here a distinct lack of MSV. While Sat-lock with EVO buff can certainly prove painful I would like to hear criticism and ideas. I am already worried, this will be the type of list to burn through three command tokens on round one to establish dominance on the field, but I think, especially with the fireteam-duo usage I can remain mostly order efficient. So I am looking for ideas and tips, I would love to keep it Tunguska themed, but I certainly would like to know if I am misjudging the toolbox I bring to the battlefield.

  3. I while ago – in April – I started the HEADForce, the Human Edge Armed Defense Force for the Nomads. One of the reasons was the new starter box for Bakunin as well as the Moderator box, but I also wanted to develop a new color scheme. Inspired by many artworks I found on the net, I for one wanted a more "realistic" theme but without forgoing high visibility on the game table. I took some experiments, but eventually I was satisfied. First troop I painted was this one: Please excuse me for the gap in side of the base, I will fix this in the future This is the my color scheme for the Moderators – please excuse me again that the base is not finished. Our Infinity Group here in Hannover started a new escalation league, and I participate with my new Nomads. So I have to finish some other minis for the games, the bases will follow soon. I was strongly inspired by the series The Expanse, so I tried some tattoos in the Expanse style
  4. Is anyone else really excited for Tunguska? I'm really excited. I finally got the majority of my Icestorm models together, and I've been playing the scenarios with a coworker occasionally over lunch. Then I saw Beyond Icestorm announced, and the Kriza Borac profile. No sooner had I seen it, than the words, "that's my lieutenant," crossed my mind. Full Auto L2 is asking for the Lieutenant order. And suddenly I realized that Icestorm also came with both the Spektr and Grenzer as Tunguska buddies! Also, I've come to really like the Grenzer (at least on paper, it's in our next scenario). It has a solid profile, and well-rounded for special rules and equipment. It has V: Courage, so if anything it is reliable! Plus the Combi comes with an LFT, and every profile has a breaker pistol. Granted, I have no experience with the breaker pistol, but it seems like something that's nice to have on the off chance he sneaks up on an ORC or other profile with ARM > BTS, and you'd also want to shoot it with a pistol. Do you guys like your Grenzers? I really like mine. Kinda tempted to snip the barrel, but if Tunguska comes out sooner than later, I might regret that decision. EDIT: If there was one profile I could give to the Grenzer, it would be a hacking profile. Actually, I wouldn't mind a Killer Hacker on the Spektr, too, if we're handing out hacking devices.
  5. I'm about to have a lot more time on my hands, so I'd like to get an early jump-start on my favourite non-existent sectorial - the mob money of Tunguska. Over the next little while, I'll be posting articles on the extant Tunguska models, and will keep adding to this space as new Tunguska models are released. Models seldom function in a vacuum, so things will change as more Tunguska models are released (building up to a total sectorial article like the other brilliant Nomads articles we have!). For those who don't know me, I wrote the longstanding N2 Ariadna vanilla tactica and used to write for Crits Kill People. Please do not post any replies yet, as I intend on taking a bunch of placeholder articles...but am on a cumbersome phone interface. Updates later tonight or tomorrow.
  6. Hi guys, A lot of people seem to have liked the little Tunguskan Hacker in the manga, so do you guys think there is a chance we'll see the Lost Children Irregulars in the Tunguskan sectorial? What could they possibly have to set them apart from the Interventor-god-hackers that already feature in T? I would love to see them with a S1 like our Zondbots, but I have no idea what could they have to offer besides that. Any ideas?

  8. My favourite sectorial is tunguska. I know that my drawing skills aren`t good but still. First art is grenzers and interventor fighting on Paradiso. Second is how I imagine kriza boracs will look, it`s an early scetch and isn`t best quality. I hope to improve it soon to look more like official infinity concepts

For now i don't have interventor minis, i'll play the female alguacile as one, but they're my next acquisition, and I want to use this as a base for my 150 pts list : Tunguska ────────────────────────────────────────────────── 4 LUNOKHOD Heavy Shotgun, Akrylat-Kanone, D-Charges, CrazyKoalas (2) / Electric Pulse. (0 | 24) METEOR ZOND Combi Rifle / Electric Pulse. (1 | 21) INTERVENTOR Hacker Lieutenant (Hacking Device Plus) Combi Rifle / Pistol, Knife. (0 | 30) 1.5 SWC | 100 Points Open in Infinity Army I can swap the Spektr load-out, though i admit i like the BS + Mines coupled with TO Camo. I really like Grenzers (plus the one in the starter is nice) and securitates's profiles, Any ideas to complete that list ? @Blackskull27 : I chose the Akrylat-kanone because, gluing opponents is a nice dirty trick. HFT option is sure interesting (that weapon nearly got me going to the Infernal ClapTrap faction), it's true i only get 2 shots, and don't have points for a baggage Salyut, but i still have the Heavy Shotgun, koalas, and if possible D-charges on the IMM-2 target. that's nice enough for me and i feel that if i can glue one enemy and get my koalas on good positioning the Lunokhod can die happy.
  10. So I started playing and played until HSN3 as vanilla nomads. It`s because I`m waiting for tunguska. Most units of my list are corregidor ones. Playing sectorial is great, link teams and such but when I play corregidor I really miss interventors and grenzers. So what do you recomend to me? Corregidor or vanilla? I already created some corregidor lists and posted them here.

  12. Would you like to see tunguska starter? If yes what troops would you like to se there? I hope CB will see this thread and will make box like they made with USAriadna As for me, I really want tunguska, it`s my favourite sectorial. In starter I would like to see 3 securitates, grenzer combi, spektr msr and criza borac or templar.
  13. This currently painting a Tunguska themed Nomad army. and Ive got this Szalamandra. I love this TAG in look and on the field. according to at least old human sphere fluff, it's due for an update in look; If not already, as all N3 tags have where the pilot fits considered into their design. The look of the current Szally screams big daddy, spacesuit monster. though two problems exist with the sculpt compared with modern tags for me. 1. for a big guy the crouch doesn't make him look too menacing. 2. where does the pilot go? This project will hopeful produce a Szally that fixes both of these issues like so 1. I will hack, repose and resculpt parts of the legs for a walking pose ( I like to consider it's a gun TAG he shouldnt be charging in ) 2. I bought a fuerbach Az'rail a while back just because i liked the model. now I want to take the front section of his torso, grind the back of that down, grind down the original belly of the Szally and combine both with pilot arms (still to decide where to get those affordably) to make apparent where the pilot fits like modern manned tags. I have no idea how long this will take. but i thought it'd be rad to document. If there happens to be any bright ideas that may help, sweet, go for it. if you have concern i may be doing something retarded with this build, Gott help me. This could all be a disaster in the end. So far I've stripped the paint off the tag today with Detol and much scrubbing. The HMC has a minor converersion from a while ago as the ammo belt kept breaking on me so i remodeled it as a cartridge.
  14. Hey all, so so with all the HSN3 hype I was going through the line of Nomad units going oh a list with this model would be fun then the next model I think oh I need to use that. In other words I am very excited, and then I ran into the Securitate. Looking over the profile I went this is playable. But the catch is I never include it in any list. Looking through the forum I don't see anyone using it at all. A walking free SWC repeater with an average usable stat line and sixth sense level 2. Also a free SWC LT i know why I don't use it I just looked at the model I have from the original starter before op ice. So is that the reason for no love. In my mind this is the model in the Nomad line in need of a remodel in the worst way. if anyone uses them on the field please explain the tactics you use with them. List don't do me much good as I can make anything work if I understand the philosophy behind the units tactics. Just wondering what others thoughts are on these forgotten soldiers of the Space Gypsies.
  15. TALES! FROM! THE! MOTHERSHIPS! Sorry, it sounds like a terrible B-Movie, so I just had too So some of you may recognise my name from the two battle report that myself and FatDamien did recently. Those batreps were mainly done for fun and entertainment and to generally show up some Infinity being played on a painted table with painted armies. Damien is a monster who not only owns every Haqqislam model, but he also has them all painted, so every force he fields is fully painted. Me? Not so much. I have a few hundred points painted, but I usually run a couple of unpainted models because I constantly try new things. Which brings us to the point of the blog thing. I've been playing Infinity for aaaages. Like nearly 6 years on and off I think. I play Corregidor a lot, Vanilla some times and Bakunin very occasionally. It would be fair to say that I've become somewhat set in my ways and tend to use certain all stars (Gecko and Intruder I'm looking at you), but its a new year, and a new edition so I've resolved to spend a year trying to mix things up and experiment more with things I don't usually take. This blog might have full battle reports in from time to time but will predominantly be short ones, ideally, but not always with pictures. I'll try to give a brief summary of what I was trying that was new, how the game went down and what I learnt, what tactical mistakes I made, where I think my list went wrong. Please join in! if you think I'm being a space cadet or using a unit all wrong tell me! If you have had success with something, please tell me! I would love to have some discussions about use of certain units and their roles on the field. So here we go. GAME 1 Game Goals: Beat Damien in a a public arena Yeah, this is the last of the "All-Stars" lists. I love every piece of this list and have used it a lot to great success.In fact I'm not sure I lost a game with this lists ... ((More through luck than skill ) The List: The Geckos is my main striker, the Morans clog up midfield and do objectives. The Tomcat can come on to do objectives or just burn people while the link team is my main long range support unit than can go places, do objectives and burn people. I'm pretty familiar with all these components so there's nothing new being tried out here. The Game: Learning points: I think the biggest mistake I made in that game was not bringing my tomcat on to burn out the HMG Ghulam. I really thought about doing it but decided to tuck my link team up more. Learning point 1: When in doubt, burn. Learning point 2: Watch your corners! Damien is an excellent player, but I could have made lif e more difficult for the Ragik and HMG ghulam by positioning my Wildcats a little better after the Alert. In retrospect it might have been better to just shoot with the hacker. The Ragik was out of cover, so I think he would have been hitting on 19s. Sure he would have had to fail both saves, but even one and we've traded. MVP: The Gecko. Took her licks and kept on kicking. People wonder why I love geckos so much. This is why. A little luck always helps, but the combination of durability and cheapness alogn with a toolbox of weapons makes them great. LVP: The Tomcat. Not through any fault of her own, she just had terrible dice. Why not the Morans? They do their job without ever being activated. Their Koalas really restricted Damiens approach before the game even started. Sure they did basically nothing in game, but they didn't need to. GAME 2 Game Goals: Try N3 hacking and remotes, generally learn the game. Be entertaining. The List: So trying new things! The Interventor is there with her BFF the Sputnik to give me some hacking teeth. the Zero BSG is there to try some camo Shotgun nastiness. The intruder is there to intrude. You'll notice a few staples like the Tomcat and Moran are still there. The Game: Learning points: So I lost that one pretty hard on points even though I game Damien a good kicking. so there we go. Learning Point 1: Don't get distracted by killing things. Do objectives. It was a bit of a rookie mistake, but I couldn't safely get to the objectives without killing scarface, so my hand was forced. Leaning point 2: Just because you have AD on a troop, doesn't mean you should always AD. I needed my Tomcat midfield. with Climbing plus and D-charges, she could have gone down the wall and done nasty things to the objectives. I didn't even think of NOT ADing her until my Moran bought the farm and I realised I was running out of specialists. I should have burnt Scarface's Panzerfausts when I had him possessed in order to deny Damien the ability to destroy crates. MVP: Alvarez the intruder. He had a slow start, but came good at the end to kill everythign that came at him. The Sputnik and Interventor team also had a good run and I can definitely see their merit. LVP: The Tomcat. Again. Also not really her fault again. I misused her horribly. If I had her midfield she could have potentially saved the game. GAME 3 Game Goals: What is an Moira??? How do I Bakunin? The List: EVERYTHING IS NEW! Deep end, sharks etc. I was really excited about giving Moiras a try as I thought they were sexy and exciting with their points drop. I took a Moderator link with a paramedic to bulk out the list, a Prowler because I've never used one before! Opponents List: My Opponent usually runs a Cameronian, NcNeil, Isobel link, HMG Moarmer list that he's very good with, but decided to mix things up. The Game: Mission was Supplies (I think) I took initiative after winning to roll off, deployed my Link team defensively, my Custodier hidden (She had nothing to do except buff the Reaktion maybe), the Reaktion on top of a building and held the Hmg Moira is reserve. The prowler went on my right flank. My Opponent deployed pretty agressivly. The 2 Moaremers were in cover, but had good lines of fire and there was a camo marker on top of a building with commanding fields of fire. The rest of his jerks were tucked away. I deployed the Moira where she could get at all three of his main threats. MY TURN 1: The game started with a bang as My Reaktion Zond declared Discover then shoot at the camo marker as it immediately revealed and shot the remote. Dice were not in my favour and the Zond was exploded spectacularly. The Moira then stepped out and brassed the Scots Guard up a treat. Thats to ODD and cover he had a miniscule chance of hitting me, and even with the Moira getting -3 for Camo, the odds were well in her favour. She then moved to the other end of the wall she was behind and engaged the HMG Moarmer, who copped a few hits, rolled badly failed two saves and died. Excellent! Finally she walked out into the open to engage the T2 Moarmer and killed him as well! On a roll! I tucked her back in cover and activated the prowler who went after a Scots Guard guarding my opponents left flank. Why? Because it was the last valid LT option. A couple of moves and a Camo attack later, the Scots guard was down. the Prowler recamo'ed just outside his DZ. OPPONENTS TURN 1: He started in LoL, which was bad times. he did the numbers on trying to revive the Lt with his 112 and decided that re-electing was much better value. He moved a couple of things around to prepare for the prowler onslaught and I think killed a Moderator or two with McNiel. This was before I thought of recording games, so I really don't remember. Either way, not much happened. MY TURN 2: Prowler gonna prowler. he walked into the DZ and proceeded to gun down the Dozer and a Taktor Mul. The plucky 112 took a couple of orders to put down, but he succumbed eventually. I used my remaining orders to make specialists interact with supplies to secure some objectives. OPPONENTS TURN 2 He's not in LoL this turn but he in retreat. He concedes Learning points: Man that was brutal. My opponent generally gives me a tough game and he uses his list like a scapel. We both took experiemntal lists we were unfamiliar with and I guess I came off much better. Learning Point 1: ODD is amazing, especially against factions with few visors. The Moira was nearly untouchable because of how much the ODD stacked the odds in her favour. Leaning point 2: Odds can trump burst. I thought the Reaktion was going to have a good crack at killing the Camo Scots guard because of superiority in burst. But with the camo, cover and suprise, it ended up at so many negs that a crit was its only real chance. Impetuous warbands are still the best for flushing out camo. MVP: Tie between Moira and Prowler. They both did horrible things to my opponent this game. The ODD on the Moira makes her a pretty amazing piece provided she doesn't fight too many visors. The Prowler is a bit slow, but in that game he was in the right place at the right time. However, he didn't really do anything a Zero couldn't have done. Jury still out. LVP: Maybe the Reaktion? It didn't have a chance to do much, but I was looking forward to buffing it and having it fight things, so it's a little disappointing. That's all I have time to right up now, so join me next time as the Plucky Nomads fight Aleph-Satan, the PanO Faschists and too many Ninjas. So long in fact that my War Journal has been Archived Soooo, It seems an appropriate opportunity to post a plog. and start War Journal part 2 (electric boogaloo) when I get back to playing more Infinity. I <3 my Nomads heaps. They are my one true love in infinity, and as much as I've tried to start other armies, it just hasn't stuck. So, in this thread I will be a proud miniature papa and show my finished stuff, and, in the future when I have more time, WiPs etc. So let's start with the old: The very first Infinity models I painted were these Alguaciles. I wanted to do something different with the colour scheme, but It didn't last very long. These guys have now been retired to the shelf as a younger generation takes up the cheerleading burden.   18. I've been out of the loop for a while - you may have noticed that before I started posting recently, I hadn't posted in almost a year - but N3 brought me back. Anyway, two of the things I've been eagerly looking forward to are new sectorial armies we are supposed to be seeing soon: the Vedic sectorial for ALEPH and, more importantly, the Tunguska sectorial for Nomads. While chatting between games at my FLGS this evening, I was surprised to hear several rumors about Tunguska, specifically that Grenzers and Securitate are going to be linkable, that we're going to get some kind of Holoprojector infiltrator, and a TO camo HI. I was floored and, more importantly, excited. So... I'm wondering what else you all might have heard during the months I wasn't paying attention. And because this thread should be useful for more than just me, I suppose it can serve as a general roundup of rumors regarding the Tunguska sectorial.
  19. So, Tunguska is going to be our next Sectoral we reckon. And rightly so! We've got three motherships, and they should all be represented. Bakunin have everything crazy and cultish (they could do with a bit more outside the Reverends IMO but that's another topic for another time), Corregidor are the people's heroes and the hardest military badasses around, but what are we seeing, expecting and hoping for when it comes to The Money? So far we have a few units that we know are Tunguska, and as expected they seem to be very well equipped and professional. The Interventors, Grenzers and Spektrs we already have profiles for in N3, they all have good stats, good gear (TO Camo, MSV, Hacking Device Plus etc) and so on. Then we have th Securitate and Szalamandra who are going to get profiles in the upcoming PDFs, I imagine. If they are anything like the old profiles they will also show good stats and gear, Repeaters, HMCs etc. There are some other rumoured units, and perhaps we have some concept art sitting around? Honestly I dunno, and that's another reason for this thread, so we can share news, hints, previews etc on the topic. So what am I expecting? The most expensive and elite Nomad Sectoral, with a lot of the most advanced tech the faction has access to, those toys cost money you know! The background in the N3 book on Tunguska notes that the founders of the ship were Eastern European and Asian, with part of the ship being called the Barangays, a Filipino term. That suggests to me that we are going to see some units with a south-east asian origin. As a big fan of Indonesian, Filipino and Thai martial arts movies I hope that we get some Raid-style badass paramilitaries with great CC skills, that would be really cool and would add another dimension to the sectoral. Thoughts, everyone?
  20. Before infinity I played warhammer and my favourite armies were Orks and Black templars. Now, after reading some infinity lore I found out about templars knights who were betroyed and now maybe are together with nomads. There`s new Tunguska sectorial coming in Archeon Falls, so I thought they could have new HI: Templar renegades. What do you think about it?

I've been playing bakunin for a while but im super interested in building a Tunguska themed list. a while back we had some very teased drops of new securitate designs in very rough sketches, and the prediction the next sectorial is tunguska. but like Veruca Salt, I want it nowww!! #richgirlproblems there are two currently, one dude with a giant hmg, and the lady with the huge head in the ugly original starter so I'de like to ask. any suggestions for good alternatives while we wait?
  22. Thank you Corvus Belli for your great online army builder. Much appreciated. I am attracted to the Nomads army both as to their look and their background. I had a question about the Tunguska force as I don't see it as an option in the army builder specifically. I am sure it is easy enough to select Tunguska troops with the general Nomads choice. Is this what is done and is there a certain reason the other two can be selected? Thanks.
  23. It's been a while since I've played Infinity, and I'm seriously considering getting back into it... with Nomads! ALEPH is great and all, but I'm still a little stung by the requirement that I invest heavily in the Greek sectorial if I want to do well, and the lack of options grates. Nomads, though, looks like a huge faction with many options. So, this is a sell me/tell me/advise me thread. I'm curious about Nomads. Tell me more about how they play? How about the sectorials? What are Bakunin and Corregidor like? Who's got the better TAG options (I know we use them rarely in this game, but I can't help it - the awesomeness and playability of the giant robot option is a big factor for me)? I'll be checking in on the thread periodically to answer questions and ask more questions based on what gets posted.
  24. Last weekend I did a few games with a buddy. We both tried to use some models, we don't use often. This left only 3 unit types for me: - Hellcats (I prefer Tomcats) - Spektrs (I prefer Zeros) aaaaaaand: Securitate. This made me think about a possible Securitate relaunch, when we finally get our Tunguska sectorial. Let's be honest, as cool as Secs are, they somehow lack skill compared to their cost in points. If we compare Sec to, say, Morans for their Repeater skill: The Morans come with Infiltration, Mimetism and Koalas If we compare Secs with, say, Odaliques, for their SS2: The Haqq girlies come with i-Kohl3, NWI and a DTW Of course, just comparing units on a 1-on-1 base is quite... inadequately as there always is a context called 'army list'. but still, I have this feeling for Securitate needing some fix. Their SS2 might become quite obsolete as they'll porbably be linkable anyways. And for the regular cheerleader-typed link they are just too expensive. Even Wildcats are cheaper. Hell, even the loved-by-all Zeros are way cheaper than the Secs. So, what are your ideas about the Securitate and what would your tuning be. Here's mine: - cost decrease of 2-4 points - BTS-3 for getting a decent linkable Hacker - 2 or 3 specialist options with for example MSV, Blitzen or CoC
