  1. Hi everyone. Me and some friends jumped headlong into infinity a couple months ago. I signed on with USAriadna and have been loving the faction so far. Thought I'd finally join the forums here. Lots of really helpful players. got a whole bunch of conversions and unique proxies I want to show off. And this might also help me keep u on my painting. First up is my conversion/custom USAriadnan Blackjack with T2 sniper. Built from an Anvil Industries Ajax and Dreamforge Games Valkyr Power Armor. So excited to get this guy painted up. the chest mines are the shoulder mounted launchers. And I couldn't get a good back photo. But he's got a smg holstered on his back as well. took quite a while to find a model that looked armored enough, not too high tech and a little more slower moving.
  2. So I've been struggling with USAriadna for awhile but it has me thinking about what new units or profiles I wish USArf had. A Foxtrot profile with Minelayer. I don't get why there are no USA units with Minelayer at all and it seems like the skill Foxtrots should have. A Hardcase profile with FO. Maybe one with a Marksman or Sniper rifle. I feel like Hardcases are supposed to represent a huntsman and what better represents that than a hunting rifle. And, of course, a manned TAG of some kind. A new US only TAG would be awesome. Call it the Ironside in reference to the 1st. or Spearhead in reference to the 3rd. Armored Divisions. or something similar. But regular access to the Anaconda would be okay too. Any other thoughts on what you think USArf should or could have?

I already read the profiles of katusyha an uragan but can someone explain the way all the modes works? even with speculative fire and when the target was previously marked by a foward observer or hacker . Specially I dont understand if the circular templates are one over another in the case of burst 3 Thanks a lot

(0 | 12) 3.5 SWC | 299 Points Open in Infinity Army The plan is basically to use the Grunt link as a defensive base with the 112 in the vicinity to hopefully give them some staying power. The Devil Dog and his pooch is my main anti-camo, the foxtrot either grab objectives or mark targets, and Scarface is the primary beatstick. The Maverick is there for any unforseen developments that require some shotgun attention, and the hardcase will in all likelihood drop straight into suppressive fire from the middle of the table. I'm worried group two is too small though - it's basically a speedbump mainly for reactive purposes, and I'll be moving models into the main group as they die off. Any thoughts guys?
  7. Hey there guys, I was looking at starting USAriadna as my second faction/sectorial, for a change of pace from Onyx. I'm liking a lot of the new sculpts that are coming out for the sectorial, but I was wondering, which sculpts are "old" (old scale, lower quality). I'm gathering that the 112 and Dozers are, anything else?
  8. Hi all. My first tourney is at the end of April and i would like some list building help from the ground up. I want to rep USAriadna. These are the missions. Format: 3 Rounds 300 Points No Spec-Ops Missions: Comms Center, Tic-Tac-Toe, Highly Classified. I have only played 200pts so far and 300 will mean i have to purchase some stuff. I have had quite a bit of fun with lots of camo and my grunt core team. My bid issue is dealing with specialty troops and fancy tech. I know i will be facing a fair mix of armies and steel phalanx.   9. As the title says, sell me the usariadna sectorial. I have some concerns about them: in a lot of cases inferior to vanilla ariadna in its. lack of exotic flavour (i mean merovingia is bad but at least has a bad tag a dog warrior paratooper some zapped troops and a viral amo link team). its clasified obgectives are even harder to get compared with the other sectorials. airborne rangers are clearly the worst paratroopers of ariadna without mimetism. lots of mov 10-5 troops with short range weapons. overpriced dog warriors. almost no d-charges. almost no camo. low amounts of hard hitting weapons. armour 3 is inconsistent. The unknown ranger is a vet kazak without shock immunity and hmg. limited insertion is an uphill. On the plus side i have to admit: Desperadoes with assault pistols shenanigans. infiltrator grunts shenanigans if you are ultra lucky (you are not) van zant All things maverick except the expensive molotock one. As i see it the new grunt spec ops must fill some gaps or be somewhat relevant/exotic for usarf, he is the only hope.

  11. Hi peeps. I'm trying to finalise my list for this week's game and I'm struggling to make the final cuts/change. Can you have a look and advise me? Thinking off hand what else I have I have a minuteman, devil dog team from memory. Tried to link army from army builder but I can't get it to work, if anyone wants to explain what I am probably dong wrong I am all ears. Group one. 7 orders, 3 impetuous.   12. To protect and to serve for a reasonable price. Hello. This is the start of my 2nd Infinity army. I have had several ideas over the year about what else do I want to paint up than Morats. This one idea tough was so potent that I instabought a truckload of USAriadna there and then. The roughly 200 euros worth of Ariadna has been looking at me from its box, anxiously waiting to get to my worktable for months now. Today I finally started with them, and even if I plan to keep it rather simple with most of them (meaning minimal conversions to be done) this originator of the whole project needed some extra time under the knife. He is ofcourse the whole reason to have an OCP themed police force in the 1st place, so here is my 1st USAriadna unit (wip) - my version of the Blackjack HI. (before any sculpey was added. A lot of dremeling has been done today) "Dead or alive, you're coming with me." - Robocop, 1987 Tomorrow I will hopefully have time to start painting him, alltough I think I might do some more work on him 1st - maybe give the gun more umph and possibly some other detailing before it is primer time. For the others I only have plans. Idea is to paint a great many grunts as 5-0, and ofc a bike cop or two. Officer Anne Lewis will be riding a maverick bike atleast. Not sure yet if I am going for cartoony stuff or add a pinch of realism. Cartoony might win. That is all for now - and sorry for the 2nd miniature topic, but I felt I dont want to mix these two projects into one thread.
  13. Thought I'd go ahead and get a thread going to house my Infinity painting stuff, as there seems to be more and more of it here lately. I'll be posting a lot of this in the painting challenge thread(s) but this will collect it all, as well as having some commentary, WIP shots, etc. Going to do a few posts to get this thing up to date. First up, we have my borderlands inspired Rafiq remote for my QK force. I thought this would be an interesting direction to go with the force, given their sort of merc heavy nature. Had a lot of fun painting this guy, and it came out well enough that I decided to follow through with the scheme *eventually. and in profile...

  15. Hi all. I've been watching infinity with adoration from afar for about a year, mostly from the Beasts of War Ariadna week. I've long had my eye on the starter box to get beginning playing as Werewolves, firemen and minutemen drew me to the faction in the first place. Luckily through my prompting I've managed to get four other people to split the starter boxes between them cunningly leaving Ariadna free for me. My dilemma though is the start up cost. I can get the USAriadna full box and get the dice and their rules, and a lot of the stuff I'd need for a Rangers force. I want Van Sandt because he's so cool, however, the Caledonian box is half the price and I also like the look of them. The SAS being a big selling point. If I go Caledonian I can start soon, if I go Foxtrot Rangers I will have to wait but the box is great. What would you all recommend? (Pretty sure there isn't a Kazak box 😉)

Hi All guys, i'm relatively new of this forum.....or better,i read very much but i write nothing So,my wife gave my the USAriadna army pack(3 Grunt,1 Maverick,1 Minutemen,1 Marauder,1 Foxtrot,Antipode and Devil Dog) and the Van Zant miniature experience in infinity game is very low at the moment (i only play 6 or 7 times using Yu Jing ISS).....if possible i need from you some advices to reach a "good" ITS 300 point list.....the best i would like to achieve is no money waste (something like Bostria Challenger ) Speaking about the model (for my modeller mind) -and if there is a good game answer- i like to use: -112 Emergency Services -Hardcases (tactical bow) -Desperadoes (i'm an Harleyst,i own an harley,i love harley.......i love futuristic style harley davidson motorcycle....and i love Clint Eastwood,so i cannot use or buy them ). -Dozer Last....i like very much Traktor mull.....but i don't know if they are a good choice or not.   17. Hi everyone. Ive been playing at my local group for about a year since buying the USAriadna starter pack and building it up with new releases etc. I love the game but never seem to spot the right thing to do until it's too late so as a result keep losing. Are there any hints and tips people can give me? I've played some talk through missions with players in my group which help but I'm still not making the most of USAriadnas strong pints (although I am finally using link teams).
  18. And here we go! I finally decided to get into, poorly based off the gorgeous models. This will be a journey through my USAriadna forces. So far I have the big box, rangers, grunts and a handful of blisters. These things look amazing and I've settled on a pattern for them . It's not bright and poppy like the majority of the infinity armies but i think it suits the feel of Ariadna. I'm using a Pea Dot camo scheme to try and keep everything from blending together on the table top. I think that in order to further make everything pop in going to go with snow bases to add some brightness to these dark models. The tech bases just brought more of the same feel and nothing stood out. Any questions or comments are more than welcome. Past that, sit back, relax and enjoy the show !

(0 | 12) 3 SWC | 200 Points Open in Infinity Army The general plan here was to have my grunts take it easy in the back and guard my flanks/approaching Tohaa with flamethrowers. While my Burst 2 sniper found a nice place to shoot people. The Foxtrot would cause some trouble up ahead and when the enemy was overstretched, I would bring in Van Zandt and the Airborne for backarc mop up duties. A combination of bad face to face rolls and going on the second turn (yes I cancelled 2 of his orders) resulted in most of my link team getting blown up by Missile launcher templates. Since my sniper was exposed to shoot but every time she was targeted, my other soldiers would get caught in the template blast if I failed the roll. This would cause them to have to dodge at a -3 since they can't tell where the template shots are coming from. Positioning my soldiers far away from the link team leader within zone of control wasn't really a good idea either as then they would have no cover against general shooting. So keeping them close by and hiding while I let my sniper shoot was really the best option. Long story short by the end of turn 1 most of my grunts were dead so my cheerleader orders were gone. The Foxtrot was dead due to bad rolling, and my Minuteman got a missile launcher to the face ending him as well. So when Van Zandt and the Paratrooper dropped there was practically no orders to supply them with any kind of movement. Then Van Zandt died to bad face to face dice :/ ----- This got me thinking of ways to defend those precious link team cheerleaders at such a difficult point value of game. Perhaps I should have put in a smoke grenade launcher? (Though his force had multi spectral visors so that wouldn't have helped much). Drop VZ & Para at this level and get more foxtrots? The only other thing I could think of is FO spam and keep a Dozer+ Traktor Mule in the back for my own template spam. Maybe even drop the link team altogether and try an inferior infiltration spam instead? It was a good victory to him due to expert positioning of those missile launcher templates bouncing off of my one exposed guy to hit any link team members hanging close by, but I couldn't help but feel that if I slightly rearranged my force or perhaps got a less porous map; it could have easily have gone the other way. Thoughts? Advice?
  20. As the title suggests, I'm in a bit of a bind on deciding how to paint my USA units. I am planning on ordering the USA Army Box next month and I already got the Grunt SWC box to test some colors on. While the normal army green is nice, I was hoping/looking for a different color to paint them in. However, any schemes including greens are welcomed. Thanks in advance for taking your time to give me your advice/opinions. Recipes & pictures are appreciated.
  21. Trying to make use of some of the army box stuff. If I am reading Haris right, I can make a 3 man of marauders and still have a 5 man link team of grunts? I have heard Van Zant is good, not sure what I would cut to fit him in, and maybe the new unknown ranger for command once he comes out may be an inclusion.   24. Hi, I'm looking for sources for conversion bitz in the right scale for my USAriadna forces. Bonnie heads, male and female. I need 4 male and 2 female. And this is in addition to 5 regular foxtrots in my force, it's not a feasible choice to buy 6 more foxtrots just for their heads... NVG - some version of the ones the Minuteman has on the helmet. Is there somewhere to buy something equivalent, or should I make green stuff molds :-( Extra sights on rifles to show MSV lvl 1 - maybe bolter sights, maybe something else. Thinking bolter sights might be to large? Any ideas? Also looking for easy ideas for good looking ghillie suits for my foxtrots... ------------------------------------------------------------------- Rationale: I don't really like the Marauder and Minuteman minis but love the Grunts. And Grunts and Minuteman are equal in armor, Marauders have even lighter armor (no shock-resistance) but are tougher in them selves (dogged). The main idea is to use Grunts: 1/ with some modified helmets (including added NVG's and tacticool airholes) and maybe some added exo-skeleton on their legs as Minuteman. 2/ with boonies (like the Foxtrots) instead of helmets as Marauders (to show their jungle terrain, stealth and lower armor) I'm primarily not planning to use Grunts at all, but if I do I want the heads (being the most visible part of the models) to be distinct. Might also use a different color scheme to distinguish Grunts and the other "grunts" from the more elite parts of the list. So elite in woodland or multicam and grunts in UCP :-).
  25. Hey guys! Just wondering if there was any concept art presented for the Blackjacks. They're only AVA 3 so I have no idea what can they be in an Ariadna Sectorial Army list. Any ideas?
