Pretty cool mini. The paint job is great!

I only suspected more a bit conversion work, judging by the title, so I am a little disappointed. :)

One thing came to me though, putting one of Scarface's Mk12s on a Anaconda might look pretty cool. I am not so sure what to do with the damn sword though, I guess it might look ok with Mk12 and sword too, but without some major work the right arm is just to far stretched out to do something other than wing a weapon.

none, its just the color scheme of the Gecko, which look awesome! ;)

I like the red. I was hoping for a conversion and the sword switched out. It's the one thing I hate about the Anaconda model.

Sorry to disappoint fellas.... I do agree with the comments though. I had intended to put one of Scarface's Mk12s on this model, but got too caught up in the actual building process because this is a fantastic model. But even while painting I had issues - the sword is a bad idea on a heavy model like this as it bends during packing or even unfortunate placement. I can forsee problems as I game with it.

And there is the slightly goofy issue of the TAG not carrying the main armament, which should be big no-no for ALL models in the Infinity range, but especially a TAG.

On the plus side, there's no base extension and it's not horizontally vaulting over a barricade or standing on a rock

As for the rather pompus thread title, it's an in joke with friends who know the Australian Late Show, which aired in '92/93... So I'm highly dissapointed that no one got it! Joking. Here is a link to the sketch of Santo the Magnificent and his Stage of Mystery:

Still one of my favourite thing on TV after all these years...

Giraldez blends up to much lighter spots, though. I can't really see the gradients on your model. Could be just the photo's though.

That said, it's an awesome paint job! The colours look really nice and smooth (that's the airbrush for ya!).

Really nice work, I especially like the red color. It's still a WIP, yes? The black on the upper parts need some highlights. Are you going to give it some battle damage?

Very, very nice. I can see how you are trying to copy Giraldez' style. I've also been trying some of his techniques and they really make Infinity models pop. As mentioned, he builds up to higher highlights

Looks like a slick model to me, whether it's used as a Gecko or an Anaconda.

Thanks for the advice guys. Painting really stronger edge highlights has been a bit hit and miss for me in the past, and I find while painting some of light colours dry to a much more subdued tone. More practice required:)

Here is a WIP of the stuff on my painting table at the moment.

I'll also upload some pics of finished models when I get my lighting and camera setup working better than it is at the moment.

After the all the Christmas madness I've finally had a chance to finish the last batch of models.

(I'm still working on figuring out the best way to photograph the minis, so please excuse the poor quality photos and lighting...)

I'll post up the rest of my currently painted Corregidor.

I went crazy over how nice the new starter was, and since I loved the Senor Massacre model (this was the only way to play him legally) this became my go to army. I've stuck with a paint scheme pretty close to the CB studio mainly because I appreciate how much time they spend on design and I probably couldn't do anywhere near as well on my own.

So to start the show, the 3 mercs:

Very cool and solid paint jobs! Whoa! My favourite is the Moran: did you greenstuff his face?

Great moran massai!! I've never liked the brigada or massai models, but your paintjobs have redeemed them.

Thanks guys.

@Arachas & Kanluwen - The Moran's head is indeed taken from an Intel Spec ops. It as a surprisingly good fit too. Apart from the cape the model is really plain, so I spent an age thinking up different schemes that might look good. Overall it came up pretty decent.

@ Grampyseer - The Brigada and Moran aren't particularly good models compared to the stuff from the last 2 years, but I've been having success with both of these on the table which kinda forced my hand. I definitely hope that the Mobile Brigada get a resculpt in the near future. And on a related note, I can't bring myself to paint any of the current Alguaciles. They're just a bridge too far...

@Levitas - Coming from you that's a massive compliment! I used a few of your BoLs articles, including that fantastic battle report, to get a friend into the game:)

It has been hard to get back to the painting table this year, but over the weekend I visited Cancon (Australia's biggest games con) and was inspired by the fantastic models and tables. This lead to me getting my finger out and finishing Mr Intruder Sniper.
