Color Schemes?

That's why I field Intruders, Hellcats and will field Mobile Brigadas and Alguaciles in mixed armour (old and new models). But I keep the colours. You know why? Because it looks better for the contractor who pays us :-)

Capitalist prick, go back to Tunguska! :PXD

Bakunin (given to my wife): turquoise-violet-gold (and it look awesome!)

I'm going to have to try this.

Sounds like an idea.

Still, my Corregidor is almost done in their terracota brown, two shades of yellow and red & green accents (though of course there are exceptions):

I didn't think something like that would work but you proved me wrong.

I went with a blue scheme because at the time I was painting them for somebody else who wanted that color, and I kept it when I ended up being much more interested in Nomads than the guy who originally wanted them. So I have a lot of blue on them, as shown by the Iguana below.

I decided that they would be issued uniform armor and weapons, but any clothing and other things like that would not be uniform but would be individualized by unit and specific figure. It's been working out decently well.

Going back to the original question, I think CB just recently switched Bakunin from white and orange and black to white and red and black. You can see that in all the recent releases such as the moderators.

@elvedril Well you post pics of the finish paint job?

I kind of liked the old Bakunin color scheme.

I have more of them, if you want. The Alguaciles set the color scheme (brown for uniform, dark yellow for boots and webbing, light yellow for body armor, the rest are variants (for example, my Wildcats base off this, but sport black helmets and body armor, green for comlog bracers and - where possible - a panel on torso armor, throw in some red for accents).

Also, once you have a scheme you can always reverse it for another unit.

My QK is less uniform, for a couple of reasons. My Hassassins fall somewhere in the middle.

Any pics you wish to show off go ahead and do so.

Mine are blue, white and orange and often dark skinned.

I wanted to have Nomads "Player 2" scheme. Which means that for Corregidor I have to be creative, but for Bakunin I basically just replace their default black with blue. MY two Tunguska guys are predominately black though, but I don't have pics.

@SmaggTheSmug I like your schemes alot. How difficult was it to get both of those schemes satisfactory?

Color theory was part of my curriculum, so coming up with colours that go well with each other is part of my skillset. Dark blue and white compliment and contrast each other a bit, while an orange accent gives a nice contrast to both, living up the otherwise cool theme.

But if you're asking about painting to a satisfactory level, well, that one's still one quite there, especially with white and faces.

I went with the following base scheme for my Nomads:

  • Pants: Brown
  • Ribbed Rubber Suit Stuff: Blue
  • Ceramic/Composite gear: Grey

As far as per-sectorial schemes go, here's some example pictures:

  • Corregidor
    • Armor: Grey
    • Glow effects: Orange
    • LoF Arc: Red

  • Bakunin (non-Observance)
    • Armor: Purple
    • Glow Effects: Green
    • LoF Arc: Orange
  • Bakunin (Observance)
    • Robe/Cloak Cloth: German Field Grey (gray-green)
    • Armor: probably grey, for what "armor" they have? Still deciding.
    • Glow Effects: Green
    • LoF ARC: Orange

  • Tunguska
    • Armor: Blue
    • Glow Effects: Red
    • LoF ARC: Green

My Bakunin are still WIP, as are my Tunguska. The Alguacil MSR is... done. I guess.
