Why Is The Sophotect So Fast?

52 posts in this topic

it's a mirror match with CA. Which we're winning. We might not have G:Mnemonica or Plasma weapons, but our specialists are way cuter :D

We do have G:Mnemonica and plasma weapons, AND our specialists are cuter ^_^

They had to give Sophie improved stats and nerf the Worm Doc because he was soo cool the competition was unfair.

@ Stiopa: Great! There's nothing more romantic than looking into multi-faceted eyes and seeing yourself while playing with them tendrils. Let your xenophobia hamper your ability to find your soulmate.

@ OP: She's an Lhost. They're super human.

Why couldn't the actual model look so cute? She looks terrifying. I'D rather have Dr Worm "I am legally obliged to inform you I ain't a real doctor" tend to my wounds.

most of the OSS girls, with their Vegeta hairlines, ended up being more scary than sexy.

Got a problem, bro?

Edit: Holy shit that's huge but I can't choose a different picture as they're all slightly NSFW... I guess that's what I get for Googling Rule 63.

Now combine that with the arm breaking down to reveal a nanopulsar and it's not the thing cinemax movies are made of... more like the freaky end of superman 3.

The Uncanny Valley is why I signed up for ALEPH actually. I am gonna mount her on second base with a little tilt. Try and have it painted up before I play next Thursday. I'll share here when I get it painted

Avicenna has the same speed, so all in all its actually not that unusual, for Docs. (Wallace, Musashi and Patroclus, are other Lhosts with the same stats too.)

She's fast because she's Aleph and giving her the same stats as everyone else wouldn't fit their theme of being randomly better at things than everyone else with no discernible points cost increase.

Seems like she's paying for it.  I can get 2x the specialists in PanO for the 31 she costs, and they shoot better to boot.  Don't get me wrong 6-4 MOV and V:NWI are both awesome skills, but at 31 points it seems pretty fair.

Answer: ALEPH Docs eat their wheaties.  They may also be vegans, in which as we know in Scott Pilgrim, they have super powers.  Just saying.

Answer: she has pumped-up kicks.  They make it easier for her to run when there are bullets flying.

I'm not sure about the reason behind her speed in teh fiction, but in the game she's meant to be a direct analog to Combined Army's Obsidian Mechanoid. Most of the original Aleph releases were designed to be mirrors of Combined Army units.

Sophatech > Mechanoid

Myrmidons > Daturazi

Asura < Charontid

Naga > Shrouded

Dasyus > Malignos

Marut/Avatar

Netrod/Imetron

Ekdromoi > Rasyat

Fuck me we got the short end of the stick.

Fuck me we got the short end of the stick.

Hell I'd even give Netrods the nod over Imetrons because of AVA 3 vs. AVA 2, and 2 Netrods in Steel Phalanx vs. none in CA sectorials.

President Kennedy seconds that, ask not why Sophotects are so fast, but whether Sophotects see everything else as slow.

Always found the nanoforge to be rather awkward, but this is awesome. Consider is stolen.

sophotech are fast because they gave ALEPH a ultimatum - either you make us as fast as Achilles or we quit.... The classified incidents have something to do with ass... :)

Here she is painted up. Still needs a little spot work but she is essentially done. Incredibly easy to do, and fixes my mental discrepancy with the speed. Even the hair bent back easily. Next: Finding a way to make a magnetized dismount for penthesiliea...post-24469-0-38960400-1433529678_thumb.j
