Sorry I haven't been posting much in this topic (but I have sorta been keeping up on your Facebook updates). Your rifle looks good, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the clothes will turn out!

It's not as fancy as a rifle, but the clothing is important, too! I finished the pants.

Pants are indeed important.  Just don't get too much in character and end up trying to wear them on your head.  I hear that is a fairly common sight among Pan-Oceanians. (Obligatory WIP12 reference.)  Those pants looks fine.  It appears that you intend to affix the knee pads to the pants with those pieces of velcro on the knees?

When do you anticipate completing this project?  I was wondering if you had a deadline for a Con or the other.

In the end you will only see a little slice of the shirt, but it's still needed as a base.

@Red Harvest:
Yeah, if someone is going to scream for a medic I won't even try helping out! ;)
The velcro is indeed for the kneepads. But not really to affix it, but more to assist the rest of the attachment. At the side there is a big slice of velcro for keeping the holster in space. You can't really see it in the picture, though.

Last time I went through the time schedule I ended up with January / February for finishing the Sergeant. In the meantime though it's more and more likely that I'll pause this project to make a commission job for a fair in October. If this will happen the Sergeant will be further delayed for a few more months.
Sorry, I know the wait is long, but with a full time job, several hobbies and some private live going on, I'm a slow cosplayer. :(

The gloves for my #SpecialistSergeant are finished, too.

How are you planning on making the helmet?

EVA foam or Worbla? Layering of the two?

Definitely Worbla for the base, since it makes the helmet thinner and therefore more filigree. Think the visor and the antennas will be the sandwich of both.

Ooh, very well done.  This is going to be a very impressive Cosplay.

...And the perfect color.  :_aww__rvmp_by_bad_blood:   I believe the word for the garment may be tabard, not skirt.  Except that it is under the armor.  So maybe skirt is correct.  I can see Pan-O knights wearing skirts.  Less likely to end up on their heads, unlike certain other garments. XD

Interesting box the dressmaker's dummy stands on.  Why is it possible to buy boxes of American Muscle in Germany?  What use could it be?

A more proper name would be surcoat. Tho normally all would be one piece, from shoulders to legs.

It's because some German people like some American cars. For example those called after animals... And those cars need fancy shoes, no? ;)

I finished my commission work for that other game and hope I'll have enough time to continue on the Sgt. soon!

Tabard would be the word, yes.

Cosplayer and muscle car aficionada?  Kewl B)   I'm aware that some Germans like American cars.  I used to watch the Tatort (Köln version) and one of the protagonists  had a thing for American cars.  And cowboy boots, for a while.

Nice "vampirelf". It looks fine without helmet. Time well invested. Only one photo of the complete cosplay so far? Moar!:pacman_by_bad_blood:

Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to do a shooting. I'm very short on time at the moment. But there will be a few more con pictures in the future. Actually I posted one just an hour ago ;)
Glad that you like it! :)

@Red Harvest You have to watch the Münsteraner Tatort! It's the best of them by far!
But in all seriousness, can't recommend watching German TV or films at all... I stopped it completely since I have my Netflix account.
