Mobile Brigada in QK

20 posts in this topic

The mobile brigada entry for QK in A6 doesn't list the missile launcher option (it's in the NOMAD entries just not the qk one).
Is this an error, or is it the way it's supposed to be?

Fairly positive that's the way it's supposed to be...

Seriously doubt that: if specific profiles are included / excluded from an army list, it is clearly written as being such a case.

Here, the army listing mentions merely "QK: Mobile Brigada AVA 1" without excluding any profiles.

Well... there is Alguacil hacker in Merovingia as the only profile. It is in general possible, that Brigada shouldn't have ML in QK - I don't know.

Well until CB addresses the problem, that's the way it is.

Alguaciles in QK only just recently gained the deployable repeater back in the FO profile, so I wouldn't be surprised if the ML Brigada profile was excluded.  You can troll my response all you want Errhile, but you can't argue with Army 6.

You'd be better off taking a Janissarie ML anyway

Seriously now - it depends. Janissaries can be made into a Fireteam, which of course improves the ML loadout's performance significantly (especially in QK, when you can boost the Fireteam with two Hafzas for a penny).

However, as a single model, Brigada's Courage tops Janissary's Religious Troop, as it allows you to choose whether to fail or to pass a Guts Roll. Again, you have a point regarding ML loadout: unlinked ML HI is of limited use in my opinion (Burst 1 is simply too much of a hit&miss, save for perhaps models with powerful defensive modifiers - but neither Janissary nor Brigada are such), though for a solo HMG I'd take Brigada over Janissary every time I can afford one.

In fact, I consider 3 loadouts of the Mobile Brigada to be useful in QK (i.e. as solo models):

  •  MultiRifle+LFT (including Lt. variant): we have few MultiRifles in QK.
  •  HMG: plain old-fashioned big guy with a big gun (still more maneuverable than an Azra'il!)
  •  Hacker: tough, well-protected Hacker for overt operations.

But that's me, and perhaps there's someone who'd value solo Brigada ML...?

How about we don't jab at each other?

It can be done right?

Considering that the Hacker profile is available in QK, I'd assume that it wasn't left out accidentally with the profile update during HSN3 transition, but it is intentionally absent from QK.

@PsychoticStorm The feelings are mutual, it would be great if I could post one response to a topic without another member responding condescendingly. Seems like any time I put in the effort to respond on these forums I get hijacked by someone who feels the need to showboat their knowledge of the game...

Unlike MRRF, QK's access to Nomad units doesn't distinguish between unit options at all, and just has AVA limits. It's almost guaranteed that this is just a bug.

And that is, exactly, what I had in mind writing my first post in this topic. I'm surprised you've took it for trolling, @Shinobi.

I admit that some nuance of the language might have skipped me, though. Didn't intended to patronize you.

Clearly people are upset over the lack of rocket launchers! Hopefully it's just a bug not a feature and will be sorted soon if someone files an Army6 bug report.

Just checking to see that A6 is still as buggy as a termite mound is all.

Back to pencil and paper, I go.   (I don't play ITS tourneys, so I don't HAVE to use it fortunately.).

Well if you're interested in checking how viable A6 is, I'd actually say you have nothing to worry.

I play 13 different factions/sectorials and don't really notice problems.

If you had your heart set on a missile Brigada in QK though, I guess that's appropriate grounds for being upset though.

TBH, I haven't played with my QK isince before N3 was a thing - I switched focus to creating my "vertical smile of Corregidor" after N3 dropped (not to be confused with "the crooked grin of ... ") force when I inherited some Icestorm nomads.  I doubt I'll play them again before N5 at this rate.  They'll keep the orphaned armies from other games company in the cupboard of shame while I wait.   I have 5 faction forces to choose from and I only get time to play a certain number of games in a year (because I don't do tourneys).

I'll get a few games of Correg in before they make Vedic Aleph a thing, so I'll add to the vedic aleph I have and play them for a while.  Then they'll finally update the JSA keisotsu butai and I'll switch back to them for a while.

If a profile is specifically excluded from another army, they would note it. For example, the Specialist Sergeants in Vanilla PanO have an increased SWC cost, which is noted in their profile.

There is no mention in the PDF of an arbitrary restriction.

A similar "bug" is the lack of the FT:Duo option for the ORC in NCA, but that's noted in their Sectorial AVA. Only Haris is listed as a Fireteam option. (ie not actually a bug)

The Alguacil Hacker is noted in the MRRF AVA as: Alguacil Hacker. Brigada are listed for QK just as Brigada. Take whichever profile you want, just like the Aguaciles.

That would mean the MayaNet app has an error. I believe the ML profile is available for QK in that app.

@Shinobi the comment was generic and directed to all responsible and not one individual, if I have to call a specific individual for something it happens in PMs.
