Counter deployment

Question

Spoiler

Spoiler

"You must share Open Information about your Army List while you deploy your models during the Deployment Phase, and also any time your opponent asks during the game."

Does this mean that your models and their loadouts are told when they are deployed, or when they are all out.

Specifically, if I have a counter deployment, are their weapons and such mentioned during my deployment phase, or after when I actually deploy them? Assuming of course they are camo or the like.

When the model is deployed. So yes if you go second you know it all baring the opponents reserve model

Note it is when the model is deployed. If you are deploying a camo token, then the only public information you need to reveal during deployment is "this is a camo token." Once that model is revealed and placed on the table, then all its public information gets disclosed immediately (e.g. "This camo token reveals itself to be an Al-Hawwa Assault Hacker with a Boarding Shotgun and D-Charges").

So with courtesy lists in mind how does this work, because it's all out there before deployment right?

You dont swap lists untill deployment is done, as it contains information that is not public until your reserve has been placed. Unless you want your reserve blown before you place it, then hand it over before you have even rolled initiative.

In a perfect world, your courtesy list would be made up of a collection of slips of paper that the other player mounts on a clip board or something, including slips for the stuff hiding under camo markers, and "fake" slips for holo-projections.  And as you reveal the info for each model, you could hand the slip of paper to the other player and say which combat group it belongs to.

Or everyone would have affordable compatible electronic tablets that would accomplish the same sort of thing.

In this less perfect world, reports are that courtesy lists are typically exchanged after deployment.

CB has confirmed that you don't swap courtesy lists until after deployment is complete.

You should still be prepared to share the public information of any troops you have placed on the table, of course, as your opponent may want to factor them into their own deployment decisions.
