Painted Campaign/Personal Challenge: Everyone is Important

The Challenge:

The Challenge is that you need your full collection of painted units and make sure that all off them see action. They are all needed in this Campaign as deaths counts and reinforcements are scarce. (I was inspired by a recent post during Wotan.)

Army Reserve:

You start by listing all the units you have in your collection. This will be the army reserve. Staying as wysiwyg as possible. You select a loadout that that is compatible with the sculpt when adding it to the Army Reserve and you cannot modify them. Army Reserve can ignore AVA, Pts, SWC, and any other limits. Army Lists still need to be ITS legal.

Alternative Option – You can push back selecting the loadout to once you take the model in an Army List.

Rest of the rules in spoiler tag :

Mercenaries:

Mercs are allowed with player consent, in addition to the available ITS legal mercs.

Spec-Ops:

Spec-Ops are allowed with player consent. You start with 5XP and can increase every game. When progressing, you cannot downgrade stats and unlearn skills, but you may swap any weapons and equipment. A campaign player with fewer XP is allowed to increase his SpecOp by that XP difference. That increase is temporary, for that game only, and is limited to weapons and equipment.

Gaining XP:

Surviving (not in a Null state) a game gives 1XP. The game result give as much XP as it would have given TP. That is, three for a Major Win (winning by 5OP or more), two for a Win, and one for a Draw. Every models in the army list receive battle results experience, even if dead.

Battle casualties:

Every game, any model killed will be lost from the army reserve. If they have a Cube they’ll join a waiting list for l-host. Otherwise, they will be listed as permanent casualties.

Every game, any model that ends up unconscious will be incapacitated for the next battle or longer, before it returns to the army reserve. It has to first recover from his wounds. Note their PH when adding them to the medical bay list. If you have a doctor or baggage alive at the end of the battle, increase their attribute by +3.

Models who survived will rejoin the Army Reserve. Helper bots (or equivalent) will always rejoin the Army Reserve.

Reinforcements:

After you have sent your models returning from combat to their place, you proceed with the following rolls.

MEDEVAC roll: Everyone in the Medical Bay will make a PH test, taking into account the noted MOD for the presence of a doctor on the field to attend his wounds or a baggage bot to help carry him safely. Those who passed the tests will rejoin after the next battle. There is no penalty for failing the test. Mercs always rejoin the Army Reserve after the next battle.

CUBEVAC roll: From the waiting list of l-host recipients, you will randomly select one. He will be able to rejoin the Army Reserve after the next battle. You can select your SpecOp instead of rolling randomly. Mercs always rejoin the Army Reserve after the next battle; they have their own source of cube resurrection. If this list is empty, you can roll twice on the next list.

Optional – favored cube resurrection. Some models have a slightly higher priority in the waiting list. You may adjust the probability distribution in various ways. For example higher Pts and/or higher SWC. Models who performed remarkably well or highly efficiently, several time MVP awarded. The calculation I use is as follow: A – Two times the Pts of the model divided by Highest Pts of all those on the waiting list. B – SWC of the model. C – My own notoriety score of a model of 0, 1, or 2. Finally, the sum (or alternatively use the average) of these three is their number of “ballots”.

Reinforcement roll: From the list of permanent casualties, you will randomly pick one. This unit is considered a fresh new recruit who will join the Army Reserve after next battle. You also need to remove the model from permanent casualties list, as you must not even end up having more active models than how many you started with in your collection. Mercs always rejoin the Army Reserve after the next battle; they miraculously survived any battle. If this list is empty, you can roll twice on the previous list.

Optional – Prioritized reinforcements. Same as before, I will adjust the chance of a new recruit of a specific model by the Pts and SWC scores. There is no notoriety here as they are all fresh new recruits.

Bonus reinforcement: As soon as you have a new painted model you acquired since the campaign beginning, you may add it to your Army Reserve.

Army Lists minimum requirements

Every Army List must have 1 Lt, 1 Core Fireteam, 1 Doctor, 1 Hacker, and a 3rd specialist. That is for my Bakunin sectorial in the context of playing mostly ITS. You can adjust that rule to suit yourself. (Ex: 1 Lt and any 5 specialists for ITS outside Direct Action type. Maybe one of each specialist required for Classified.) When it is not possible the make a list that follows those requirements you are allowed a few solutions.

Option A – You may modify the loadout of your models, staying as wysiwyg as possible.

Option B – You may add Mercs, with player permission.

Option C – You may replace the Medevac, Cubevac, and Reinforcement rolls and pick what is truly necessary, furthermore these will join the Army Reserve before the battle instead of after the next battle.

Option D – If you do not have enough to make an Army List, you are in the direst situation, and your Army reserve will be fully reinforced and all lost units may return to the Army reserve bringing it up to your initial count. These lost units will be considered fresh new recruits to the army reserve.

I'll be posting my batrep here in this thread. Also feel free to comment I might tweak it as I go along. My goal is to run it during this school term (September-December) to encourage myself to paint all my models and use them all.

### Mission report 01 ###
### Mission: Engineering Deck ###
### Result: Failed ###
### Unable to secure objective room ###
### Unable to connect enough Consoles ###
### Classified objectives unfullfilled ###

Our troops arrived on the scene concentrated on the right side with EVO, daktari, and chimera covering the left side.

The ISS forces got the jump on us. A Hsien on the roof downed the Rev. Moira HMG after a fierce firefight (crits on both side order 1, and crit on his side on order 2) and followed with knocking out the Rev. Moira LGL. The Su Jian also moved up and the Pupnik dodged all the shots. Finally, they connected two consoles on their side.

The prowler moved to the window and wounded the Hsien with a surprise attack. The zero shot at the Hsien teammates but he passed his ARM and fell back.

After another fierce fire the prowler was downed by the Hsien (once again, crit on both side order 1, and crit on hsien side order 2)

We lost a few pupniks as the Chimera moved closer to the objective room.

A ninja killed the Zero in close combat coming from behind him and then connected the console.

We retaliated with the Vortex gunning down the Ninja while he was staring at the console. The Rev. Healer healed both Rev. Moiras (it costed a command token on one of them).

Rev. Moira HMG continued the firefight with the Hsien finally taking it out (crit on both side order 1, and crit on my side order 2).

The chimera moved around the right side of the objective room and was unable to wound the Zhànying. At least she resisted the remote's flash pulse.

After a critical hit on the chimera, the Zhànying moved to open the gates. The Su Jian then crawl inside and started suppression fire.

The Moira with Combi was closest to the Zhànying but a little out of range and took a hit on her armor.

The Moira with MULTI then moved closer and killed it as the Zhànying switched targets between her the previous Moira. (Once again, for the fourth time, crit on both side MULTI vs Zhànying order 1, then order 2 Moira shot normal at Zhànying and Zhànying shot normal at the non-linkleader which passed her ARM).

Then I courageously tried to storm the objective room (would have outpointed the Su Jian) but the Su Jian used the flamethrower killing two and knocking one.

With these losses, it was over for any chances on completing the mission and we retreated with our casualties.

I played again against YuJing this time. We didn't had a bagh-mari/jethro in non-narrative mode, so we picked a designated target the same way you pick a designated datatracker in ITS9.

### Medical Bay update ###
Prowler Edvard Darbinyan is recovering well.
Rev. Moira Lídia Oriol is recovering well.
### Reinforcements ###
Rev. Moira Senka Bogdanović has received a new l-host.
A new Chimera unit has been assigned to your command.
The launch of the reinforcement dropship has been delayed.

### Mission report ###
### Mission: Run-in on Paradiso ###
### Result: Major Success ###
### Dominated all Sectors ###
### Killed the Designated Target ###
### INTELCOM used in the farthest Sector ###

We arrived on the scene, tracking down the designated Zanshi which later appeared to be the one in command. We placed the vortex on the left. I was prone on a high central building. The rest of the force - Riots, daktari, and EVO - on the right in a building.
The YuJing had a Celestial guard hacker and an O-Yoroi on our left; the Zanshi in center; the rest on our right and everyone either prone on rooftop or hiding behind the building.
I deployed the Lizard near the Vortex to face off the TAG and he deployed a Camo in that sector too.

The EVO quickly setup Reboot Supportware. The Lizard took out the O-Yoroi. Everyone moved in coordination and the fireteam moved up in good position.
The Lizard used the HGL killing the Celestial Guard. Another shot on the zanshi target missed. He finished in Supp Fire behind a tree.
The Lizard missed the guilang deploying a repeater and the reset against the aragoto, getting immobilized.

The Su-Jian killed the Riot Grrl Spitfire and the EVO. Our Riot MULTI knocked out the aragoto.
Several YuJing went in suppressive fire and we took back initiative.

The Riot MULTI killed the SuJian and the Lizard killed the Guilang.

The Riot MULTI destroyed a helper bot which didn't prevent the doctor who was moving on the other side of the building to get to the aragoto.
With the aragoto back up it charged at my Riots with his shotgun. The Riot MULTI blew up the aragoto and the Riot Combi's armor stood the shots.

It was time for my doctor to come into play in an effort to reduce my units downtime in this campaign.
She healed the Riot spitfire and the fireteam was reformed.
While doing that she sent the helper bot open the building in which the Lt was hiding; which gave LoF for the Lizard.

With their Lt dead, the YuJing retreated. The four Riot Grrls on Supp Fire gunned down the Zanshi Forward Observer without mercy.
The Rui Shi was still trying to hold their line but with the Intelcom used on the helperbot we dominated that sector too.

I did the third mission as part of a tournament. Therefore no spec-ops. This time I had heavy casualties.

Out of 16 models : 10 KO and 1 KIA; so these are out for at least one game. Maybe more. OTOH, I painted 6 models in order to run a painted army that is able to do Rescue. It was almost a draw as we had landed on the second-most open table of all 6 tournament tables.

### Medical Bay update ###
Prowler Edvard Darbinyan and Rev. Moira Lídia Oriol are authorized for deployment.
### Landing dock : Ship Arrival ###
The following reinforcements has arrived. You should revised their files when you have a moment.
Rev. Moira Senka Bogdanović and the new Chimera unit are present.
Also Rev. Custodier, two (2) Zeros, Morlock, Clockmaker, Meteor Zond

### Mission report ###
### Mission: Rescue ###
### Result: Narrow Success ###
### Rescued no civilians ###
### Moderator Jovana Filipov used extreme prejudice, killing an unconscious enemy ###

The terrain was saturated but otherwise had clear long lines of sight. On the other side we could see two Tikbalang approaching, one flank each.  I deployed the linkteam on the left flank to move past a row of crates and a Zero FO ontop. The Sin-Eater and Rev. Moira overwatching the central camp. The remaining camo and morlock on the right flank forest.

The Tikbalang on the left knocked out the Sin-Eater, the Morlock, and a Pupnik. A Bulleteer came in the center and killed the Moira. The Tikbalang on the right discovered the Zero but missed his attack.
A Bagh-Mari medic moved on the left flank toward the HVT but was shot down by the Moderator Spitfire.

The Chimera on the left and Morlock on the right moved up. The Prowler tried to take out the suppressing Tikbalang on the right but was wounded.
The Moderator fireteam crawled behind the rocky mount and moved alongside the crates. They eventually reached the medic and used extreme prejudice. The moderator took out the supressing Tikbalang with a few bursts of the spitfire.

As the Tikbalang in the forest was having a hard time flaming the Morlock, the Naga repositionned and landed a criticial hit.
The Tikbalang continued on and critically wounded the Zero minelayer. Although he himself suffered from the mine's blast. He finally reached a civilian.

The Chimera and her last Pupnik jumped on the Tikbalang and killed him and also burned from the flamer.
The Rev. Custodier assisted the Meteor Zond but it still scattered back into our left flank deployement.
A Moderator with a combi killed the Acon Regular and then then one with the spitfire attacked the Bulleteer but got crit'd.
The team reformed and moved into the middle of the camp.

The Naga realizing he had no chance of running through the camp to rescue a civilian, went for the Moderators, dropping two mines before getting critically hit.

One brave volunteer Moderator moved out to kill a suppressing Acon Regular. His shock absorbent armor survived a hit from him and one mine blast but the other mine knocked him out.
There was still three units protecting the civilians. The Zero FO tried to blind one while the Meteor and Moderators moved closer in coordination.
After a second failed attempt, I coordinated the 3 Moderators and the Meteor to assault the Acon Regular.
The Moderator spearhead was knocked out by the spitfire. The second moderator critically hit the Acon Regular.
The enemy numbers were very low, but they were fiercely protecting the civilian. After thinking for a little while, I chose to try one last thing.
I sent the fast moving Meteor to try to dislodge the remaining two enemy. It took one hit from each. I had to abandon and fall back at this point and the Acon forces also retreated.

<<<Army Reserve>>>

Round 4 was the new Acquisition mission in ITS, and we used Soldier of Fortune instead of SpecOp. A brutal game against Aleph's Marut list. I liked the mission, controlling with any model is more enjoyable rather than usual Control with a specialist and one doesn't count due to Intelcomm. As for SoF, I was hoping to have YY in my deployment to provide smoke (the same role my Morlock would have) but with the Marut seeing through smoke and with me not having any reserve, I preferred to have them off-board and bring them in later.

### Units training ###
Salyut EVO DSZU-1836 (Robin) has pass combat readiness tests.
Rev. Senka Bogdanović has completed proper training for use of AHD.
Vortex Engineer Adnan Saab is occupied with further WIP training.

### Mission report ###
### Mission: Acquisition ###
### Result: Failure ###
### One Communication Antenna activated ###
### One Communication Antenna activated by the enemy ###
### Both Communication Antenna controlled by the enemy ###
### Tech-Coffin not controlled ###
### Classified objectives unfulfilled ###

With our spec-op not available, I hired a Yuan Yuan team. I deployed the Moira on the right and the TR Salyut on the left with the Riot Grrls, the Haris leader having the Data Pack.
The Marut assaulted us on the right, killing both Rev. Moira HMG and the TR Remote; and his Engineer repaired the TAG.
The Yuan Yuan who should've deployed with us to provide smoke cover (at least on the side opposite of the TAG) instead arrived on the enemy flanks.
One killed a netrod and a devabot dying to its flamer; the other didn't manage to hit anything with his AP Rifle.
The Riot Grrl moved out shooting a Blitzen at the TAG but took an HMG hit.
The Moira speculative fired the EM grenade on the TAG, it didn't go through his BTS.
The Daktyl critically hit the last Yuan Yuan. The Proxy Engineer activated an antenna. The Myrmidon Officer Datatracker moved closer. The Marut retreats to cover the central objective instead.
The Zero tried to kill the Proxy hacker but got Isolated. The Rev. Moira grenadier killed the Daktyl and the Proxy engineer with Shock Ammo on the MULTI Rifle while the rest of the fireteam slowly moved around the building. The  Rev. Moira hacker activated the antenna for our side instead.
The Marut comes back and kills the Rev. Hacker with difficulty, and secures the antenna. The Myrmidon secures the Tech-Coffin and the Proxy hacker secured the last objective which was covered by a Naga's monofilament mines who got knocked out by the Riot Grrls.
There was no way for us to complete the mission but I had to do everything to hinder Aleph.
The Zero on the balcony got up to shoot at the Myrmidon but he dodged, luckily the Dakini completely missed him with its HMG.
The Riot Grrl shot the Proxy Mk.2 who fell back in better cover and she used her last Blitzen on the Marut, still not breaching his BTS.
The Moira grenadier shot the Myrmidon several time finally killing her. At least the Aleph datatracker lost the Tech-Coffin.

Round 5. I played the same Aleph opponent. We went for low-tier Hunting Party. I like the mission but you have so much too do, it really needs 400 Pts to have enough orders.

### Mission report ###
### Mission: Hunting Party (Low Tier) ###
### Result: Failure (2-0) ###
### Enemy has connected one antenna ###
### No troops were hunted down ###
### Enemy has completed a demolition objective ###
### Our classified were not completed (Prejudice, Hack HVT) ###

Moderator Jovana Filipov swapped the LGL for a Marker. The rest of the team was a spitfire, a regular, the specop engineer, and I. We occupied a long building with the Rev Healer.
On our right, the enemy proxy hacker opened a door to the generator room and connected the antenna console.
In the room to the left side with the other antenna, a naga critically hit the morlock and dropped a mono mine before hiding.
The fireteam moved up and out the central building, placing a repeater near the enemy deployment zone.
Which allowed the zero to surprise scylla but he got a concussion instead.
The chimera toss smoke to reposition and open a few more doors.
The dakini HMG advanced and took out two moderators and a pupnik.
On the other flank, the naga was hit by the Riot Grrl but survived.
The chimera's pupnik killed the Dakini while he killed the chimera.
Then the Rev Healer spent a long time healing the morlock and the zero while a moderator knocked out by the dakini was pronounced dead (failing 3 WIP!)
The proxy engineer went around the building to take out the Rev Healer out of cover. He then moved closer to plant a D-Charge. The naga revealed again and took out the morlock but with more difficulty this time.
The zero got crit'd by scylla, and the link team stormed the right antenna's building trying to either stun the hacker or connect the antenna.

### Unit Status update ###
Zero Soth Soun and Rev. Moira Nadya Velichkov has rejoined your team.
