Tunguska themed list

9 posts in this topic

Hello everyone!

I am mainly CHA player who dabbled into MO playstyle, and I have to admit, mostly due to fact I am most often facing Aleph, I am really tempted by the idea of Tunguska sectorial. I was fiddling around with potential rosters, trying to keep the list capable of delivering damage, while remaining overall fluffy and I came up with list like this:

So, we have here a HMG, Mk12, Spitfire,Multi Sniper rifle to win firefights. We can easily notice the lack of EXP weapons, that would be very handy against tags but I think with three repeaters dashing across the table to control midfield, and a pitcher I can relatively safely attempt to ruin day of anything remotely hackable. For that very reason I also decided to pick EVO hacking device along with Interventor, mostly to allow coordinated hacking shenanigans in order to marginalize the risk of killer hackers truly ruining my day. With one gentleman trying to kill enemy hacker as the other breakwaters I think I can truly "Win the Internet"
Specialist wise, well 3 forward observers, two hackers and engineer in 10 orders list seems plentiful.Tomcat should b e able to come and save the day, would Tsyklon run into a bad day, or simply score me points with sabotage.
Kriza.. Well is heavy infantry and potential LT, Seemingly very solid gunfighter, especially with both his rules.

So why do I post this? I after my experience as Ariadna player, see here a distinct lack of MSV. While Sat-lock with EVO buff can certainly prove painful I would like to hear criticism and ideas.
I am already worried, this will be the type of list to burn through three command tokens on round one to establish dominance on the field, but I think, especially with the fireteam-duo usage I can remain mostly order efficient.

So I am looking for ideas and tips, I would love to keep it Tunguska themed, but I certainly would like to know if I am misjudging the toolbox I bring to the battlefield.

Kind of fragile but every guy has the ability to stay away from DTW so it might not be too bad. WB heavy is probably the main problem I'd expect it to have.

I thought about that, and I think with this list I could dominate rooftopswith climbing plus, while marksmanship lvl +TR bot would likely ruin day of anyone entering it's sights. Alternatively, list focusing around Szalamandra instead of Kriza may be a better choice?

I don't see any fireteam duo capable stuff in your list, and you're in vanilla so you'd have to spend a command token to have TeamPro up on the EVO anyway. What were you planning when you mentioned that? Speaking of the EVO, you might not be getting all you could get out of it. You'll get some mileage out of Overclock and command token re-rolling on your hacking, but you only have 2 hackers, and the EVO doesn't have any CLAW programs and therefore doesn't really play the infowar game by itself very well. I suggest taking some AHDs to get more teeth against TAGs and HI if you're committed to the EVO, and maybe swapping the Tomcat to a Hellcat BSG so you can better spot remove something more efficiently.

Also, relying on your TR bot to do all the heavy lifting on ARO is iffy. If it's on a roof and can see everything, everything can see it, so expect to lose it to coordinated panzerfausts or something like that. You also won't have MML2 if you go second, so beware of that as well. It will wreck warbands though, so you could always use it sacrificially and hold it in reserve for this purpose.

Perhaps something like this?

I personally prefer the Feuerbach Tsyklon with Overclock because it hits much harder than the Spitfire in ARO, and gives you some more long ranged punch. Dropping a Stempler down to a Transductor gets you room for upgrading the Spektr FO to a AHD, a Zondbot for your Tomcat which you can deploy next to your TR bot or Tsyklon (telegraphing a Tomcat, but oh well), and gives you room for the Feuerbach as well.

This way you're getting more mileage out of Overclock and the EVO in general as you have more hackers now. I'm mildly concerned about the lack of KHDs in your list, but not terribly so. I probably wouldn't go after your Interventor, but I would definitely try to gank your Spetkr via hacking to avoid dealing with the TO mods. With the changes to ITS this season, 10 order lists are more viable, just be prepared to activate both Spektrs turn one or have one not in HD to fuel the other parts of your list in later turns.

Your first turn probably looks something like:

  1. Reveal the Spektr MSR and kill something by giving it -12 to BS
  2. Use the Lt order to buff a bot
  3. Use said bot to remove another thing left out to ARO
  4. Push up with the Kriza or the bot (or both)
  5. Set up for next turn, get bots into position, maybe activate the Spektr AHD and then recamo both Spektrs with a coordinated order.
  6. Turn on Overclock and suppression your Kriza if you have the orders. Definitely save an order for Overclock in this list.

A slight variation to the list. It removes the EVO (although it was providing overclock which is a big thing in this list) swapped tomcat with clockmaker with 2 bots. should keep those REMs alive a bit longer. Plenty of ARO options with MSV (Lvl 1....but will help against camo/minetism) biggest boon is starting with 8 orders instead of 7

you now have 2 assualt pieces to move up the board. Kriza and Tsyklon. Mission dependent Kriza would be a DataTracker  while the tsyklon tears a few things apart (marksmanship L2 and whitenoise vs MSV)

Advise on good placement for the MSR spekter (don't forget to infiltrate along the side to get that extra coverage) Reserve the Grenzer ML or Reaktion zond IMO.

This is one I'm currently goofing around with. Has some tankiness and some not so tankiness, but man would it look nice on the tabletop...

7 orders at 300 ? I'd rather just go up to 400 and make a LI list. You still have a bit of AVA left in Grenzer and Securitate (ah the old days of all my bakunin hackers are also repeater for each other).

I should have mentioned the big reason behind the list is that the models are available as well.

Well that is good news for me as when tunguska comes out we'll likely have fresh sculpt for these.

The old securitate combi (in the old starter) and the old securitate HMG are still In Stock at a canadian store.
